Lost - Mr. Eko free!

September 29, 2006

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who plays Mr. Eko in Lost had the charges against him for driving without a licence and for disobeying an officer dropped. His lawyer proved that he did have a California Driver’s license when he was arrested. The rest of the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

Is it fair to say that it seems the cast from Lost has a jinx on them or a curse? Three of them got arrested already, 2 of them for drunk driving the SAME night (Michelle Rodriguez (who plays Ana-Lucia Cortez) and Cynthia Watros (who plays Libby) )!

Who will be next?…

Ugly Betty - good ratings

September 29, 2006

Since I haven’t yet seen Ugly Betty I haven’t been able to judge whether the show is good or not. However it got very good ratings finishing number 2 for the 8pm slot (behind Survivor). So it seems like I might count of Betty staying around for a while. It was actually one of the new shows I was looking forward too for the longest time. (My new love of Veronica Mars prevented me from watching the first episode, but I’ll catch up this week-end ;-) ).
I personally am excited about this original concept and format for a show, so will probably be watching it on a regular basis.
More on this once I watch the first episode.

My thoughts and Review on Wednesday Night’s TV shows

September 28, 2006

Unfortunately because of my obsession over my new favorite show “Veronica Mars” (see post), I was not able to watch any of the shows on last night. Not “Jericho” or “Criminal Minds”. I did start to watch “One Tree Hill” but only the first 10 minutes before I had to leave.
I heard the second episode of “Jericho” was pretty good. Can’t wait to see for myself.
Anyway, you can be assured that tonight I will be watching “Grey’s Anatomy”. I am also curious about “Betty Ugly”, so I might check it out too.
More on all of these shows tomorrow.

Finished watching Season 1 of Veronica Mars

September 28, 2006

And finally after 6 hours of episodes and going to bed at 1am, I finally finished Season One of “Veronica Mars”, for some of you this might seem like ages ago, but it’s brand new for me so this is my review of what for some of you seem like an old season of “Veronica Mars”. After finishing the last episode and finally putting a conclusion to the Lilly Kane murder, Veronica opens the door and says “I was hoping it would be you,” but who is she talking to. This drove me crazy as I spent the whole night watching the season to end it like this. So today I decided to buy the second season of “Veronica Mars”, I had to find out who was at the door. More on this later…
I have to say this is one of the most amazing shows on TV today, although I haven’t seen the second season yet (which I will as soon as possible), I have been bewitched by Veronica Mars and all her friends. I can honestly say that I hadn’t been as excited for a teen show ever since the time of “Buffy the vampire slayer” and “Dawson’s Creek”. I cannot wait to see what new adventures Veronica Mars will take us on. She is actually someone I would personally like to know…
