UGLY BETTY’s “Novela” on your cell phone
November 29, 2006
For all of you fans of Ugly Betty’s Telenovela that Betty’s father, Ignacio Suarez, watches, then this news is for you, ABC has decided to create mini-episodes of “Vidas de Fuego” which you will be able to watch on ABC’s website. New episodes will be put online every Thursdays for a total of 6 episodes. In addition, Verizon Wireless subscribers will also be able to watch the episodes of “Vidas de Fuego” on their phone (of course you need the V Cast service in order to access them). This is a very original idea, but in the vain of all the webisodes, webumentaries, and podcasts that every channel has been posting online. Still, I think channels are finally giving us an extra effort and bringing us more of the world of the shows we love.

VERONICA MARS mini-finale - “Spit & Eggs”
November 29, 2006
WOW! That’s the only word that comes to mind. Veronica Mars‘ resolution in last night’s episode “Spit & Eggs” was amazing (although I have to say that I am very biased as Veronica Mars can do no wrong in my eyes). So even though Mercer was not a big character this season, if was definitely a big surprise when it was revealed he was the rapist. But apart from the Hearst rapist mystery finally being solved, Veronica Mars‘ “Spit & Eggs” was also a reunion for all those characters we have been missing, namely Mac (finally our favorite best friend is back!), Wallace (helping Veronica on her crazy quests again), Piz (who is a new character but I still think we do not see enough of him), Parker (who has been missing in action for a while even though she was one of the reasons Veronica was on the case in the first place) and finally Weevil (back to his old self)!!!!!
In other news, can’t believe it’s the end of LoVe (or is it?). Even though I knew it was coming, because let’s face it we need some drama and things to look forward to (like the LoVe reunion in Season 2 of Veronica Mars), I still was pretty sad it was over between them. Veronica catching Logan talking to another girl moment was pretty memorable.
Finally, I can’t forget to mention the best moment of the episode “Spit & Eggs” of last night’s Veronica Mars: Logan bashing the police car!!!!! Now how cool was that shot of the two cops in the dinner and Logan walking nonchalantly to finally smash their car. At first I didn’t get it, until I saw the holding cell with Mercer and Moe in it. The last shot on Logan’s hand as it transformed into a fist, BRILLIANT!
If this is any indication of how the rest of the season will be, then I wish it was Tuesday everyday. CW give us our last two Veronica Mars episode for a real full season!

Midnight Hour on GHOST WHISPERER
November 27, 2006
As I was watching the episode of the Ghost Whisperer from two weeks ago entitled “The Curse of the Fifth”, I discovered this great band that was featured in the episode. One of their songs is performed in the end by the main actor (he isn’t actually singing it). I just thought I would share with you that new found talent called Midnight Hour. Visit Midnight Hour’s MySpace Page.
The song performed in the episode “The Curse of the Fifth” is called Running Away and unfortunately is not released yet, but you can look at a video created by CBS for the songs which includes of course clips of the Ghost Whisperer. Check out the Running Away video of Midnight Hour on CBS Innertube.

THE NINE is out!
November 27, 2006
I am sorry to say that we will never find out what really happened to the nine hostages in the bank robbery as ABC has pulled The Nine from its schedule. Although ABC says The Nine will be back later in the season, I don’t believe we will ever find out what happened during those 52 hours. The Nine was pretty much doomed from the beginning, there was no way that we would ever find out what happened during the full 52 hours by revealing only 10 minutes at a time. I mean do you realize how long it would take? It would take 312 episodes. With a rate of 22 episodes per season, it would have taken about 14 seasons, that’s ER sort of length. It just was not going to keep being interesting every week. I mean even if we found out an hour per episode it still would have been 52 episodes. Let’s look at Reunion, it was only 20 years (one year per episode) and even that didn’t finish.
Although I enjoy watching The Nine, I had already resigned myself that I would never have found out what happened. No matter, I will still be watching the last episodes of The Nine ABC does offer us.

VERONICA MARS - “Lord of the Pi’s” thoughts and Preview
November 23, 2006
Wow, Veronica Mars is getting better and better.”Lord of the Pi’s” episode of Veronica Mars was up there with other good episodes. And it looks like next week we finally find out who the Hearst Rapist is, and Mac is back! But first let’s discuss this last episode of Veronica Mars. Even though we saw more of Veronica and Logan this episode, I still feel like Logan could be more involved with Veronica’s life. But I have to say, hiring a bodyguard for Veronica Mars was the sweetest and smart thing to do. My favorite moment is of course when he calls her on the fact that she will not change but wants him to change. Good for Logan for standing up to Veronica. Someone needs to sometimes. I think this is what makes them one of the best couples on TV, they are not all luvy duvy all the time, they actually have real fights, but at the end of the day they still love each other. That was probably the most truthful moment, when they each say they love each other. It wasn’t like everything was fine and they weren’t mad anymore but at the end of the day, even when they fight, they still love each other.
Let’s hope they stay together for a long time. Go LoVe!
As for the Hearst rapist, I have a feeling that the mystery isn’t as simple as it may seem. I don’t believe all the rapes were faked. If you have been watching the last two seasons of Veronica Mars, you know everything is not always as it seems and that mysteries can end up blowing your mind. Let’s hope next week promises more surprises as we finally get to the bottom of mystery #1 on Veronica Mars.
The preview for next week looks absolutely amazing which is why I have to share it with you. Don’t forget to tune in for probably one of the most exciting episode this season on Veronica Mars, “Spit & Eggs”. Here is the preview, if that doesn’t convince you, then there is no hope for you…

Random Thoughts
November 22, 2006
For all of you who live in the US, I bet you were pretty disappointed when Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls were not shown on Tuesday night (because of a basketball game, personally not a sports fan). The CW announced that it would show those two episodes on Saturday night at their regular time. People up north actually got to see Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls unlike people living in the US, now how ironic is that?
Haven’t watched Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls yet because of all the festivities (yes Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I have to get everything ready by then).
Wasn’t able to watch 3 Lbs yet either. However, I have to admit I was tempted to watch How I Met Your Mother’s “Slap Bet” episode (or as we better know it: the Robin Sparkles episode!). I didn’t. I’m actually waiting for my roommate to watch it again for me to watch it with him.
Not much news today, the city was pretty empty here, but I can’t complain. A few days off work should allow me to catch with all my favorite shows. So stay tuned for more…
