Discovering FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and SMALLVILLE…

December 29, 2006

In my despair to find something to watch during the holidays i have discovered two new shows, one old and one new: Smallville and Friday Night Lights.

Friday Night Lights

I went to see my friend the other day who happens to be a Friday Night Lights fan and of course like any good fan, he had recorded the episodes of his favorite show: Friday Night Lights. He insisted that I watch the first episode. After trying to convince me (which wasn’t too hard as I was willing to try anything at this point…note: I am so pathetic…) I finally caved in and we watched the pilot of Friday Night Lights. To my surprise I actually quite enjoyed Friday Night Lights. Funny enough I am not a sports fan at all but have always been a fan of sports movies (go figure…), needless to say that I am now hooked on Friday Night Lights and will actually be going back pretty much everyday this week to see my friend in order to get up to date (he must be so happy to hear that he will have the pleasure of seeing me everyday this week :-) ). To finish, if you like me are trying to find something to watch this week while waiting for your favorite shows to come back, you might want to give Friday Night Lights a shot, it’s really not as bad as it looks, actually I would go as far as saying that it is pretty good.

Nothing on TV - Despair… and FAMILY GUY

December 20, 2006

Family Guy

What can I say, I love TV and not having all my shows to watch is very depressing :-(

In other news, I bless the day someone decided to start putting TV shows on DVD, because of it I get to watch my favorite shows again and again and I also get to discover new shows.

Talking about new shows, in my desperation to find something to watch (as well as some meaning to life…), I was lent the first season of Family Guy. I was a little unsure I have to say at first, but now I can’t stop talking about it. It is one funny show. Who thought of this????

I am here to tell all of you who do not watch Family Guy yet, it might not look appealing but just know you are missing lots of hours of laugh. I don’t think I ever laughed as hard as I did watching one of the first episodes.

So to conclude, let’s just say that not having my favorite shows on TV was (although horrible) a sort of blessing in disguise because I got to discover Family Guy. That is not to say that I want my favorite shows to be taken off air again….. GIVE ME BACK MY LOVE!!!!!

VERONICA MARS on iTunes!

December 13, 2006

Veronica Mars on iTunes

Finally the day has come!!!! iTunes finally got Season 3 ready to download. The next step is to get Season 1 and 2 of Veronica Mars on there too. In addition, let’s hope that having Veronica Mars on iTunes helps with the ratings, which would guarantee us a 4th season. With the higher Veronica Mars has been getting, I hope the CW and its executive will be smart enough not to cancel this fabulous show. I actually have to say that my Tuesday nights feel empty right now without Veronica Mars to fill them. This is why getting Season 3 of Veronica Mars on iTunes is the solution I have been looking for. Now I can take Veronica Mars everywhere I go on my iPod. You have to admit that this is genius!!!!!
Get your Veronica Mars Season 3 Pass from iTunes (or if you only want your favorite episode of Season 3) by clicking on the iTunes icon below.

December 11, 2006

For those who do not know Jose Gonzalez, his song “Heartbeats” was featured in the episode of One Tree Hill entitled “Some You Give Away” which aired on November 29th. I have been having this song in my head for a few days so I thought I’d share it with you.

Check out Jose Gonzalez‘ MySpace page or find “Heartbeats” on iTunes by clicking on the iTunes icon below.

UGLY BETTY adds Rebecca Romijn

December 11, 2006

Yes it’s true, Rebecca Romijn will be joining the cast of Ugly Betty. She will be a series regular. And who will she be playing you ask? Well, she will be the mysterious masked woman that we keep seeing in each episode (and no it wasn’t her who was filmed in the surgical mask in all the episode we have seen. Apparently it’s an actress named Elizabeth Penn Payne who has been playing the part of the mysterious masked woman). I hope that Rebecca Romijn will not stay in the mask for too long when she makes her appearance in Ugly Betty next year.

Malcolm in the Middle’s Hal is the Devil on FALLEN

December 11, 2006

If you are like me a fan of the late Malcolm in the Middle, you will be happy to know that Bryan Cranston, who played Hal, Malcolm’s crazy father on Malcolm in the Middle, will be appearing soon in a different part than we are used to see him in. Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lucifer in the sequel to ABC Family’s TV movie Fallen. The sequel, which will start where the first one ended is schedule to be released in the summer of 2007.
In Fallen, Aaron Corbett, played by Paul Wesley, finds out he is half-angel, half-human, or what they call, a Nephilim.
As for me, I really enjoyed Fallen and cannot wait to follow the new adventures of Aaron Corbett.

I have to say that for an ABC Family TV movie, I was pretty impressed by Fallen. It held its own. And if you haven’t seen it yet don’t miss the rerun of Fallen (which I am sure they will have before they show the sequel).

New time slot for LOST

December 5, 2006

Matthew Fox

Because ABC learned their lesson from last year, it will not put Lost against American Idol when it comes back on February 7th. Instead, ABC announced that it will push Lost back to the 10pm slot. Even though I feel it is a smart move for ABC, 10pm is just too late for me to be watching a show, that means that I will have to record Lost and wait until the next day to watch it, how uncool is that?!

Of course I will however be tuning into American Idol on FOX when it comes back January 16th. I have to say I am not a fan of reality TV, as you can see I do not watch any of them, but American Idol is the only exception to the rule. I just feel compelled to watch American Idol and always feel so involved.

Well, let’s hope that this switch in schedule will benefit Lost. Don’t forget, Lost will be back on February 7th 2007.

Rick Schroder

Rick Schroder has just been added to the new cast of the sixth season of 24, returning on January 22nd 2007. Rick Schroder will play a Counter Terrorist Unit agent helping Jack Bauer (the wonderful Kiefer Sutherland).
This new season of 24 promises to be as exciting as the last ones, I can’t wait for January! Watch the 24 trailer!
