THE OFFICE - A new fan

So I never got the whole deal about The Office, until I recently decided to rent the first season and try to watch it and understand why so many people love The Office so much. So I did, I rented the first season and watched the first three episodes and I get it. This show is great, it is unlike any show I have ever seen before. I think my new found appreciation for The Office can also be attributed to being able to relate more today than a couple of years ago to this environment. Now, Season 2 is already on my Netflix list and I cannot wait to get all caught up. Because this show surprised me so much, I am also tempted to rent the original The Office with Ricky Gervais, if I do I will let you know if I do.

So here you go, once again TV on DVD proves how genius it is, keep bringing those TV shows on DVD and I’ll keep watching!

PRISON BREAK - Renewed for a third season

FOX announced that it was picking up Prison Break for a third season. Not much of a surprise since the show has been doing very well with about 9 million viewers per week. None the less, it’s nice to see that some of the shows I care about do get picked up.

The only question left is what will be happening in season 3 of Prison Break? I mean they already broke out of prison (funny since the show is called Prison Break) and are on the run. Now that their plan failed what else will they be doing. We know they can’t succeed in disappearing forever (as Michael Scofield put it) because if they did then there really wouldn’t be Prison Break anymore, but I am curious as to what the new direction will be in Season 3 of Prison Break.

Oh, well I guess I will just have to tune in to find out and trust me, I will…

VERONICA MARS, FBI Agent?

If some of you haven’t heard yet, let me bring you up to date: The network executive at the CW aren’t sure whether to renew Veronica Mars for a fourth season (what is there to think about?! RENEW VERONICA MARS NOW!). In an attempt to save the show, Veronica Mars‘ creator Rob Thomas came up with an alternate story for the show to continue, instead of having the fourth season continue where season three will leave us, the new Veronica Mars would fast-forward a few years and have our hero, Veronica Mars, as an FBI Agent (remember that FBI internship she wanted to take…). I am not sure if this is where I want the show to go, I kind of like college Veronica, but if FBI Agent Veronica is what it takes to keep the show, then I say go for it.

Let’s hope the executives learned their lesson from Everwood and won’t cancel another awesome show like Veronica Mars. But just in case they go crazy, I am making a vow now to all of you that if Veronica Mars gets canceled, I will stop watching One Tree Hill (which is hanging by a thread on my to-watch list). The action of canceling Veronica Mars (if it happens) cannot go without consequences and this is mine. No more One Tree Hill for me without Veronica Mars. It might not have a big impact but it will make me feel better.

I encourage all of you Veronica Mars fans out there to also boycott a CW show if Veronica Mars is canceled.

Enough said, you get the point: BRING BACK VERONICA MARS FOR A 4th SEASON!!!!!!!!!!

THE BLACK DONNELLYS free episode on iTunes

If you are not too bitter over the removal of the great NBC show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, you might want to check out The Black Donnellys (which is replacing Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip on Mondays nights at 10pm). To give you one more reason, iTunes offers the pilot of The Black Donnellys for FREE!

I wasn’t too sure about the show myself but with the free pilot available, I thought why not. So I downloaded the first episode of The Black Donnellys. I hope that it is as good as Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, otherwise I will be very disappointed. I absolutely love Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and I need a great show to replace it to make it ok for its removal.
