“UGLY BETTY” A REALITY SHOW
- VH1 is developing a reality show based on the TV show UGLY BETTY. The name of the show: AMERICA THE UGLY.
The reality show will be about
What happens when unattractive women are thrown into the high-glam environment of the fashion and modeling industries? On hand to make sure the contestants feel sufficiently bad about themselves will be Becky Southwick, best known as the salty-tongued Wilhelmina Models executive who was forever castigating her girls for being too fat on VH1’s The Agency.
No word on whether the show has been picked up yet.

JORDAN COLLIER IN “BATTLESTAR GALACTICA”?
- Of course I don’t mean the character Jordan Collier, but the actor portraying him, Billy Campbell. It seems that he would like to get a role in the final season of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, I mean who wouldn’t?
SCI FI’s executive vice president, original programming, Mark Stern mentioned that the producers of Battlestar Galactica are trying to work on a part for Billy Campbell.
I am all for Billy Campbell appearing in Battlestar Galactica, I think he would do a really good job.

“FOOTBALL WIVES” MIGHT NOT BE DEAD
- Apparently, ABC’s pilot FOOTBALL WIVES (US adaptation of the British show Footballers’ Wives) starring James Van Der Beek, Lucy Lawless and Eddie Cibrian might not be dead.
ABC Studios has extended its option on the show and it could become a midseason replacement. And in the case ABC doesn’t pick it up, NBC and FOX have shown interest in picking it up.

STARGATE ATLANTIS - More on the Digital Press tour
June 29, 2007
TV Squad is continuing its tour of some of Sci-Fi’s best shows. They stopped on the STARGATE ATLANTIS set and had a panel there with some of the cast. Part one of the panel is posted below. For part two head over to TV Squad to download the quicktime video.
Update: TV Squad has uploaded the entire panel into one video posted below.
I don’t watch the show so I can’t tell you if the panel is exciting, but I guess it must be pretty exciting.

On Tonight, Friday 6/29: STANDOFF, KYLE XY, and more…
June 29, 2007

KYLE XY “The List Is Life” - 8pm ABC
Repeat of Kyle XY for those who don’t have ABC Family. Don’t miss it. I only have about 4 episodes left on season one and will be starting season two soon. I cannot wait. Who knew ABC Family could air such a good show. Then again, they did have the TV movie Fallen, so I don’t know why I am surprised.

STANDOFF “Lie To Me” - 9PM FOX
Last week’s episode was one of the best that I saw on Standoff, so I am excited to watch the episode this week.
OTHERS:
PAINKILLER JANE “Ghost In The Machine” - 10pm Sci-Fi

Want to see some real Krump?…
June 28, 2007
With last night’s krump performance of Sarah and Jesus on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, I thought I would post a video of what “real” hardcore krumping looks like.
In the video you will recognize Lil C, choreographer of Sarah and Jesus routine. He is the second one that dances. How amazing is he? And damn, can you say cut?!

“BIONIC WOMAN” HAS A RECAST
-
Moonlight is not the only new show to be recasting some of its characters, now BIONIC WOMAN has decided to change the actress portraying Becca (the main character’s deaf sister) played by Mae Whitman in the pilot, with someone else.
An NBC spokesperson:
“The decision was purely creatively driven. It is very common to change storylines, characters, actors after the initial pilot is shot.”
The replacement hasn’t been chosen yet, but a rumor says that the “new” character might not be deaf anymore… to be continued

TNT MOVES “HEARTLAND” TO 8PM
-
TNT has decided to move its new show HEARTLAND from its 10pm slot (after The Closer) to the 8pm slot.
To replace Heartland at 10pm, TNT will debut its new show SAVING GRACE (starring Holly Hunter) on July 23rd. TNT is hoping Saving Grace will do better in this timeslot.
I am still confused about what Saving Grace is about. My guess is it’s either going to be really good or really bad.

“STARGATE” DIRECT TO DVD MOVIE DELAYED
-
The STARGATE movie Ark of Truth has been delayed until the first half of 2008. The second Stargate film, Continuum, has also been delayed.
Stargate: Ark of Truth will resolve:
the two-year Ori story arc that was left unresolved in the somewhat bland SG-1 series finale.
Stargate: Continuum will be about:
missing teammates Teal’c and Vala and a timeline gone haywire.
Rumors are that if those movies are successful, MGM would like to release two Stargate movies a year.
How cool is that? I am not a Stargate SG-1 fan, but even I can see the good news this is. I wish they would do this with all my favorite shows that got cancelled.

“ACCORDING TO JIM” BACK ON ABC
-
I didn’t even know this show was cancelled (well actually I don’t even watch this show), but it seems that ACCORDING TO JIM was resuscitated by ABC and given a seventh season of 18 episodes.
Why couldn’t the CW do that with Veronica Mars (yes, still bitter…)
