My New TV Addictions - Supernatural, Malcolm in the Middle, and Torchwood
October 31, 2007
First I would like to wish you all a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I wanted to mention a few of my new TV addictions. Technically, the TV shows are not new, but they are TV shows that I recently have been watching obsessively. I know, I know, I shouldn’t even be adding any new TV shows to my already full schedule, but I can’t help it, especially if I love the show. Anyway, so here they are:
SUPERNATURAL - I mentioned that I was starting a Supernatural “quest” a while ago. At the time I was renting the episodes through Netflix. All of that was before the nice people from Warner Bros sent me the first two seasons on DVD. So now I have two seasons of Supernatural sitting in front of my TV teasing me everyday. Needless to say that I have been watching Supernatural pretty much everyday. I’m almost done with the first season, and will be starting on the second pretty soon. If I keep this up I will be getting up to date in no time. Then I’ll have to catch up to season 3, that’s why you gotta love the online episodes made available by the CW for Supernatural. And in case you’re wondering, I love Supernatural, it’s such an easy and relaxing show to watch, sometimes I watch 3 or 4 episodes one after the other without even realizing it. I am so glad I am discovering it now. [Read more]

Araya’s Top 10 All Time TV Shows: #8 - THE OFFICE
October 31, 2007

Araya - #8 THE OFFICE

The Office would have ranked higher on my top ten list until this season’s one hour episodes proved to be annoying as a real-life Dwight Schrute. Obviously this is one docu-comedy that works better clocking in at 30 minutes. Here’s my suggestions for keeping this show in my top ten. Less Pam and Jim; more Dwight, Andy and Angela. Keep the Daryl and Kelly storyline going too - the pimp shit is hilarious.
Cast: Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, B.J. Novak, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Angela Kinsey, Phyllis Smith, Kate Flannery, Mindy Kaling, Paul Lieberstein, Creed Bratton, Oscar Nuñez, Melora Hardin, David Denman, Rashida Jones, Ed Helms, and Craig Robinson.
Plot: A mockumentary on a group of typical office workers at Dunder Mifflin, a paper company.

Daemon’s TV Podcast: Episode #4 - Fall TV Updates
October 31, 2007

Welcome to the 4th episode of Daemon’s TV Podcast. Eric and I decided to change our format a little bit and make our episodes shorter from now on. Hopefully this will make it easier for us to do them more often, as well as give us more of a agenda for each episode. Hope you enjoy it.
Update: It seems like there was some problem on iTunes to download the latest podcast. I just fixed it and it should work as soon as iTunes crawls the feed again. Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks to the people that let me know about the problem, I really appreciate it.
Episode #4: Fall TV Updates: Sandie and Eric discuss their disappointments with “Heroes” and “Reaper” as well as what they love about “Torchwood” and “Moonlight.” “The Office” gets a mention too.

On TV Tonight, Wednesday 10/31: PUSHING DAISIES, PRIVATE PRACTICE, and more…
October 31, 2007

PUSHING DAISIES “Girth” - 8pm ABC
A Pushing Daisies episode on Halloween Night… I wonder what they have in store for us, I mean how much more eccentric can they get, right?

AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL “The Girl Who Runs Into The Glass Door” - 8pm the CW
After the voluntary departure of Ebony last week, it’s going to be interesting to see if Ambreal can pick herself up and not end up in the bottom two again. To be honest, I didn’t really like Ebony, so I guess it all turned out for the best.

PRIVATE PRACTICE “In Which Charlotte Goes Down The Rabbit Hole” - 9pm ABC
Last week’s episode was one of my favorite so far. I just love the relationship between Violet and Cooper, these two need to get together soon so she can get over her husband. Oh and what happened to the husband’s wife? Did I miss something, are they separated? How come she doesn’t care he is seeing his ex-wife? Maybe we’ll get some answers tonight.

GOSSIP GIRL
Unfortunately there will be no new episode tonight, but I just wanted to mention that last week’s episode of Gossip Girl was so good, it got me excited for next week’s episode. The scene with Nate holding Jenny when he’s thinking it’s really Serena was so hot! And this is gonna lead to more drama for sure, because you know Jenny is going to say something to Blair.

LIFE “Powerless” - 10pm NBC
Still haven’t seen last week’s episode, but it’s always nice to know some Damian Lewis time is waiting for you on your DVR. I think the thing with Life is that since every episode has some sort of ending, it’s hard to talk about the storylines every week. It’s a relaxing show.

DIRTY SEXY MONEY “The Game” - 10pm ABC
I am also behind with Dirty Sexy Money. Actually, I can’t really remember what happened two weeks ago. I’m going to have to watch last week’s episode tomorrow to get up to date on what’s going on with the Darlings.

Eric’s Top 10 All Time TV Shows: #8 - THE WEST WING
October 30, 2007

Eric - #8 THE WEST WING

I loved The West Wing because it gave a glimpse into a fascinating world that we were not familiar with. Not only was it educational, it was also entertaining to watch the halls of power engaging in the art of politics.
Now I know a lot of people saw this as just fiction and nothing more, but I saw it more like a possible alternative to real- life politics.
A fun alternative where, although there is a right and a wrong, sometimes being right is being wrong and being wrong is being right.
It shaped the way I see the world to some extent and for that, I will always be grateful.
Cast: Allison Janney, Bradley Whitford, Martin Sheen, Richard Schiff, Janel Moloney, John Spencer, Dulé Hill, NiCole Robinson, Melissa Fitzgerald, Rob Lowe, Joshua Malina, and Stockard Channing.
Plot: The West Wing follows the lives of staffers in the west wing of the White House.

First Look: Rachel Bilson in CHUCK
October 30, 2007
After the announcement that Rachel Bilson would appear in CHUCK I was waiting to see the first pictures of that mix, and here they are.
I am so excited to get an O.C. alum mixed in with our dear Chuck. How cute is Rachel Bilson in that picture? I wonder how Sarah is going to react to this new arrival.
More photos of Rachel Bilson and episode description after the jump. (Might contain spoilers) [Read more]

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER - Watch the full Pilot
October 30, 2007
I just found out about Hulu.com a few days ago and some of its videos are already online. Hulu.com is the new video hub owned by NBC/Universal and News Corp, which will be streaming videos from their companies. The cool thing about it is that you will be able to embed videos of an entire TV episode on your site, now that’s cool!
Check out the entire pilot for BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYERS (one of my all times favorite TV shows), provided by Hulu.com.
And if you click on the menu once the video starts playing, you can browse other videos in the Hulu library, including Bionic Woman, The Office, 24, and more…
Thanks to Ramblings of a TV Whore for the tip.
