My favorite part of Pushing Daisies was when Chuck found out about the reward and woke Ned to ask him about it. They then got into this banter about the reward being "the main dish" or an "entree" or something like that. He said to stop the "metaphor." I'm an English teacher and I showed the pilot in class because it related to a short story we were reading. We had just finished talking about figures of speech (similies, metaphors, personification, onomatopoeia, etc.) and I was thrilled to have them see that it's important for folks to know what "metaphors" are!
