30 ROCK Review - “Cougars” (2×7): Tracy you crazy boy
November 29, 2007
Call me difficult to please if you want, but I was beginning to worry about this new season of 30 ROCK.
It seemed as if NBC’s Emmy-winning money-spinner (written by Saturday Night Live alumni, Tina Fey and starring Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin) was becoming too self aware, in that creepy Hal the Supercomputer from “Space Odyssey 2001″ sort of way.
Specifically, what was perhaps doing 30 Rock in for me was the not-so-funny Jerry Seinfeld Bee-movie plug-a-thon, or maybe it was Fey’s pleas to Verizon Wireless to show her the money. Nah, it was definitely the David Schwimmer as Greenzo episode.
Actually, I think I know what it was. [Read more]

Procedural Update: CRIMINAL MINDS Recap - “True Night” (3×10)
November 29, 2007
[Warning: This post may contain spoilers]
Let’s talk about the latest CBS’ CRIMINAL MINDS episode, “True Night” (Season 3 Episode 10). What a trip!
This was a different episode that we are used to, mainly due to the fact that Frankie Muniz was guest starring and the episode focused on him more than the FBI team.
I personally really enjoyed “True Night” and Frankie Muniz’ performance as comic book artist Jonny McHale really drew me in. The back and forth between the comic look and the “reality” look added a new dimension and was an original way to tell the story through the eyes of Jonny McHale, plus it reminded me of the “Sin City” look, which I love. Procedural Update: CSI: NY Recap - “The Thing About Heroes” (4×10)
November 29, 2007
So what to say about the latest CBS’ CSI NY episode “The Thing About Heroes”? Warning, if you haven’t watched the episode there will be spoilers.
Well, the story started with Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) following the trail of the 333 stalker. He finds an old decomposed body in the Chicago Tribune building.
Meanwhile, the team in NY is investigating the murder of a Subway Train conductor in an empty subway. What starts as a typical murder investigation devolves into a trap by the 333 dude which hurls the train full blast with the team in it. Without Danny’s (Carmine Giovinazzo) quick thinking, they would have met their demise.
I am going to skip over the investigation and jump to the meat of the story. Here’s the payoff of the 333 storyline: it turns out Mac had a childhood friend called Bobby Toole who was being beaten by a mob guy. Young Mac witnessed the beating but was too scared to do anything about it; Bobby’s older brother Jimmie Toole stepped up and shot the mob guy but unfortunately it was too late for Bobby. The 333 stalker was trying to remind Mac of that day by sending him Bobby’s bloody tee-shirt and digging up the decomposed body of none other than the mob guy. [Read more]

David’s Top 10 All Time TV Shows: #5 - THE MIGHTY BOOSH
November 29, 2007

David - #5 THE MIGHTY BOOSH

The Mighty Boosh has a cult following back in the UK between stoners and students.
In series one the show centers around the two main characters Howard Moon (Julian Barratt) and Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) who work in a Zoo but leave this world to go into other realms for psychedelic adventures including worlds such as the Arctic Tundra and Limbo
Vince is extremely cool, hip and incidentally has great hair, Howard is jealous of his older appearance and tries to compensate with his version of cool i.e. Jazz, acting, poetry!
One definitely worth watching, but give it a chance it has a tendency to grow on people.
Cast: Julian Barratt, Noel Fielding, Rich Fulcher, and Michael Fielding

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS - “Seeing Other People” (2×8) Pictures, Promo, and Comments
November 29, 2007
We are getting a new episode of NBC’sFRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS this week, yes!
Here is what I am looking forward to:
Matt and the aftermath of his kiss with Carlotta. Doesn’t he sort of have a girlfriend? That’s going to be interesting.
Julie and the new teacher. With the look Tami gave him, I wouldn’t be surprised if she went all Tami on him. Looking forward to that.
I’m wondering how Santiago is adjusting to his new life with Buddy.
Finally, will Tim get his butt back on the team already, the Panthers just don’t feel the same without him.
Don’t forget to watch Friday Night Lights “Seeing Other People” on Friday November 30th at 9pm on NBC.
For now enjoy a promo, more pictures, and the episode description from Friday Night Lights “Seeing Other People” below.
