Ricky Gervais’s latest brain child “Extras†is one of the most brilliant shows to surface on television in a long time. It’s centered around the lives of two struggling actors, Andy Milman (Gervais) and Maggie Jacobs (Ashley Jensen) working as extras in London, England. Each week’s episode has a celebrity guest that never fails to bring the star power (past guests have included Sir Ian McKellen, Daniel Radcliffe, and Kate Winslet). What I like best about Extras is that it’s as funny as Gervais’ “The Office†sans cringe worthy boss David Brent.
Cast: Ricky Gervais, Ashley Jensen, Stephen Merchant, and Shaun Williamson.
Plot: Two struggling actors, Andy Millman and Maggie Jacobs, work as extras while waiting for their big break.
