HOUSE Recap - "Games" (4x9): Meet House's New Team

HOUSE - Hugh Laurie as Dr. House and Anne Dudek as Dr. Amber Volakis in “Games”

So the games are over and the final team has been chosen on HOUSE "Games."

Tonight was a stressful "game" for all four contestants. Can you imagine? One wrong diagnosis and you're out.

I don't have much to talk about the actual episode apart from the new team, so let's move right into it. I guess I am sort of ok with the final three - Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), Thirteen (Olivia Wilde), and Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn), except that I thought Cole (Edi Gathegi) - who was fired last week - would end up being one of the final three. Personally, I have grown to love Thirteen the most, she reminds me a little bit of Cameron.

I guess now we'll have to wait until January to see how the new team works together. For now, I still like the Old Team (Foreman, Chase, and Cameron) better, but we'll see if the New Team can change my mind and make me like them better.

Some other thoughts:

You have to love House's schemes, the man knows how to work Cuddy to get what he wants and you have to admire that.

I also wish we saw more of Chase, I miss his English Australian accent... It was nice getting more face time with him. Here's a thought, do you think the studios decided to revamp the team so that they wouldn't have to pay the new people on the team as much as the old team and could then cut face time for the old team thus reducing cost? Just wondering.

And now it's time to meet House's new team:

Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), Thirteen (Olivia Wilde), and Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn).

#13 and Cameron? Two different characters, two different storylines. The only similarity between them is House. And Olivia Wilde is twice the actress Jennifer Morrison is.

It's easy to miss the english accent since it's actually australian!

Oops, yes Australian accent! (I fixed it in the post, thanks John) I cannot believe I made this mistake, especially since we all know how crazy I am about Australian accents ;-)

    Hi Leo,

I don't know when it starts in England. In the US we are in the middle of the fourth season and the next three episodes left will air January 29th at 9pm, February 3rd after the Super Bowl, and February 5th on FOX.

With the writers strike still going on, it's hard to say when we will get more new episodes. But of course I'll keep updating Daemon's TV when I find out new information.
