NBC’s JOURNEYMAN cancelled

December 12, 2007 · Print This Article

JOURNEYMAN - Moon Bloodgood as Livia Beale and Kevin McKidd as Dan Vassar

Update: Check out this report on why Journeyman got cancelled.

E!Online has announced the dreadful news today, JOURNEYMAN is cancelled.

It might not have appealed to a lot of people, but I really enjoyed Journeyman and thought it was a quality TV show. All we can hope for now is that NBC airs the final two episodes as scheduled December 17 and 19.

  2. karen sala on December 18th, 2007 3:59 pm

Journeyman is a great show. Why do they insist on cancelling good stuff and leave the crap on?

  3. wayne sala on December 18th, 2007 4:01 pm

Keep Journeyman on. Get a oetition going to save it. It’s the best show on NBC

  4. wayne sala on December 18th, 2007 4:05 pm

Show reruns of Journeyman people might watch because they have seen what else was on. It is a good show give it a chance to find it’s audiance.People don’t understand the premise of the show you should explain it in the beginning that he goes back to fix a problem.

  5. Daemon's TV on December 18th, 2007 4:59 pm

There are two websites to save Journeyman if you are interested, they are savejourneyman.net and save-journeyman.blogspot.com.

  6. Paul Robin on December 18th, 2007 5:01 pm

Great show. Best NBC show on currently. They shoud try a different time slot before giving up. I think this could beat Numb3rs on Fri. That show is getting boring…can you say algorithem one more time??

  7. Kathy Eaton on December 18th, 2007 5:47 pm

The best new show on TV. NBC how can you make such a mistake. It is just catching on. All it needed was word of mouth. Now you cancel it???

  8. Scott on December 18th, 2007 7:12 pm

Journeyman is a surprisingly good show. I didnt think that it would be good show but rather a recycled spin on the premise of Quantum Leap. The show actually has alot of substance and background information into the characters and their lives that leads them into the people they portray in the present time. If the show is cancelled I hope that the SciFi channel will pick it up just like they did with Stargate SG1 which lead to that series longtime success.

  9. Kristina on December 18th, 2007 10:10 pm

THIS BLOWS!!!!!! Who believes in Nielsen Ratings anyway?? I dvr all of the shows that i love to watch and unfortunately those are not recorded into Nelson… NBC needs to find a better focus group to study their show statistics. The Nielsen is getting old! NBC WAKE UP!!!

IF REALITY TV RETURNS. TO NET WORK.. I’M JUST GOING TO TURN TO CABLE TV. NBC HAS DEFINITELY LOST MY SUPPORT

  10. Chris on December 19th, 2007 6:02 am

We watched every week for Journeyman — it was a staple of our 10 PM line-up. I am so bummed that it has been cancelled. I guess NBC doesn’t know when they have something that’s actually good.

  11. Jake Leone on December 19th, 2007 12:59 pm

This show really can grow on you.

It is like the X-Files in that respect, and I really think NBC is making a big mistake.

The acting, directing, and writing on this show is excellent.

So what’s wrong keeping this show going?

Journeyman and Medium could rotate, and fill a need for a low-key, well produced, weekly sci-fi show.

Come on NBC, think out of the box.

  12. Scott on December 19th, 2007 6:19 pm

I really hope that NBC does a last minute save on this show before the actors take other jobs…this is one of the most enjoyable new shows I can remember in years…I realize reality shows are much cheaper for the network to produce, but a decision such as this is the reason that people are turning off network television..please please NBC give this show at least another nine episodes to let the viewership take hold…do the people at the network remember Seinfeld, Cheers, and other shows that had terrible ratings, but became smash hits…give this show a chance!!!!

  13. Jesse Wallace on December 19th, 2007 7:32 pm

This show had a lot of things going for it. Good ideas, great cast, etc… I could not get past one of my pet peeves though — the often inaccurate depiction of the city of San Francisco (GG Bridge being next to GG Park — since when? The Market Street F-Line running in a time period it wasn’t supposed to be, studio back lot shots that looked nothing like the city). I know this is not a deal breaker for most people, but the inaccuracies always snapped me out of my suspension of disbelief.

My apologies to the major fans — I KNOW this is a good show. But attention to detail is what makes anything that is already good all that much better.

It certainly would never fall under the crap category reserved for the likes of “Full House” ;) And I don’t apologize for that!

  14. Chungyen Chang on December 19th, 2007 7:53 pm

passing the deadline for a season renewal is close to a cancellation, but not quite. there is still a chance the show can live.

  15. keith mclendon on December 19th, 2007 8:09 pm

Journeyman is the best new show NBC has produced in 10-15 years. They should bring it back in a different time slot.

  16. Steven Polesel on December 19th, 2007 8:27 pm

It seems that any intelligent show such as Journeyman will have a difficult time remaining on a networks’ schedule. At the same time, it appears that the networks are loading up on the reality crap.

I think I will give my public library a whirl. They can’t cancell a book, or can they?

  17. JT on December 19th, 2007 8:41 pm

Stupid NBC. They have no idea what people watch and what they don’t. This show was getting better every week. Why should we ever watch any new shows on NBC? We take time out to watch their shows, get hooked, then they cancel it leaving us unsatisfied.

  18. BobbyLee on December 19th, 2007 11:01 pm

This news is VERY disappointing. Once again the studios stupidly use antiquated rating methods to rate their shows. Instead of going back in time on how you rate shows guys (and gals), go back in time with Dan and Olivia.

NBC do yourself a favor for us the fans - dump Law and Order, dump Bionic Woman and keep Journeyman; or allow another studio to run with it because its been getting better every episode and shouldn’t be cancelled. Thanks for running with it until number 12; we appreciate that but we sure don’t appreciate the cancellation. This week’s shows were two of the best too.

Journeyman go to Sci Fi, go somewhere but don’t go away. Maybe Dan can journey back in time and cancel the cancel. :)

  19. Sianna994 on December 19th, 2007 11:11 pm

NBC should realize that this show is getting the attention of people who normally don’t watch network tv because of all the crap reality shows. But hey, put another crap show on, and I’ll go back to not watching NBC again.

Good quality shows on network tv are rare, this one will be missed. Bad move NBC, you had my attention, but lost it again. I won’t be back again, you cancel all the good shows and leave us with what Bionic Woman? Please… we aren’t stupid drones who want more reality tv, we want something interesting and that will keep our attention for more than the 5 minutes most shows take to figure out.

  20. KimG on December 20th, 2007 8:03 am

All I can say is WOW! NBC, I really thought your network was going to start producing some good television but turned out to be nothing but a tease. You finally produced a show that was smart and appealing to a more intelligent audience and you go an cancel it before it can really gain momentum. Bad move NBC! I won’t make the mistake of becoming invested in any of your shows again.

  21. MoonMan40 on December 20th, 2007 8:06 am

What is wrong with NBC for even considering cancelling this show without at least giving it another time slot? If Journeyman was flopped with “Clash of the Choirs” this thread never exists.

  22. Richard on December 20th, 2007 8:58 am

In the age of the rebirth of Doctor Who (and its tremendous success and 2 spinoffs - Torchwood and Adv. of Sarah Jane Smith), the lack of good sci fi on networks (none on networks since Quantum Leap and X-Files), who coulda thunk that No Brain Cells would cancel one of the best new, sci-fi shows to come along in years?

  23. Only1 on December 20th, 2007 11:30 am

Great show can’t belive the big wigs at NBC are to stupid to renew

  24. Andrew on December 20th, 2007 2:21 pm

    I can’t believe it either.

This is just unbelievable. And I am very upset with NBC.

But at least they showed the full set of episodes (or at least I’m hoping, having not seen the finale).
And it looks like they will keep Bionic Woman - give me a break.

  25. Mike on December 20th, 2007 6:12 pm

NBC execs are making a big mistake. This is the best show I’ve seen in a while. It has more going for it than Heroes. These idiots at NBC make me sick. GIVE THE SHOW A CHANCE!

  26. cam on December 20th, 2007 9:43 pm

What a joke! if you cancell this show I refuse to watch another NBC show again. Finally you get a hit and you are too Stunned to realize it. The people love it! WAKE UP!!!!

  27. Joe on December 21st, 2007 8:18 am

Every year we go through this same song and dance with NBC. When are we going to learn? They have no vision. It is always the same nonsense with them. Remember, this is the network that canceled Star Trek for poor ratings. They canceled Dark Skies, Surface, The Others, the list goes on and on. You might think that the obvious connection to one of their successes, Quantum Leap, would be enough to keep Journeyman going, but I guess not. I just turn my TV off when there is nothing on that interests me. Will Heroes be next?

  28. uglytuco on December 21st, 2007 10:07 pm

Journeyman quickley became my favorite show, along with Dirty Sexy Money. Cancelling a show like this, this soon after it came out was SOoooo stupid. I hate NBC. Dave Letterman is not funny anymore. SNL is the worst thing on TV. You ruined CHandler and Josh Limon on Studio 50 sunset strippers. You’ve fallen behind the times with all your cheeze NBC. Check out 24 on FOX, It’s on like it’s 6th day. thats 6 seasons, of 24 episodes each. that’s like 300 episodes. Tell me I don’t live to see what Jack get’s himself out of next. I’ve been following him for 6 $%^$ing days. You finally get a strong male lead in Kevin Mckidd and you CANCEL HIS SHOW? That’s like cancelling Tom Sellick after the first 12 episode of Magnum, or Bill Shatner after the first 3 seasons of Star Trek, or Don Johnson after…. you get what Im saying. I read somewhere that people were gonna send you Rice a Roni. Well I got a better idea. Everyone who reads this pass it on 1:11 am the moring of Januay 11. That’s right 1:11 1/11, we all log in to NBC.com and have a JOURNEYMAN VIEWING MARATHON. and everyone log in to NBC and start up they’re favorite episod of Jounreyman. I know I will!!!!!!!!!!!!

    UGLYTUCO

  29. rowena on December 22nd, 2007 6:31 am

NOOOOOHHHHHH! Please don’t cancel it! It is so good and very intelligent drama! One of the best new drama this year! Damn! Maybe just transfer it in another time slot, but don’t cancel it! I was very hooked to this drama already! PLEASE!PLEASE!

  30. Terri Evans on December 22nd, 2007 9:35 am

I am just so disappointed that this quality show is cancelled. This is a fantastic and very intelligent series. Journeyman has some gifted actors and the scripts are outstanding.. Why would anyone kill a great series. There is so much you can write to make this the best show of next season as well. It was certainly one of the best of what’s on now. It is comparable to all the Law and Order series in quality and actors. There are millions of us who enjoyed this show and believe it has some merit. Please bring it back. I just loved it.

  31. Ron on December 22nd, 2007 12:14 pm

I really did like this show. This was a good quality family show. Today if it isn’t a bunch off teeny bopper drama than nobody watches it which sucks. It will be sad to see it go. Thanks NBC for giving the high hard one to the 30 something group of viewers.

  32. Michelle on December 23rd, 2007 6:47 am

My husband and I were so disappointed when we heard the news that NBC cancelled what has become our favorite TV show. We use the DVR because I work early in the morning, but we’d watch it every Tuesday night, and really looked forward to the next week’s episode. I have to agree with what many have said above, it was so refreshing to have a new show with the same quality of Law & Order - that actually requires an IQ to enjoy. We don’t ever tune in to the brainless world of reality TV….. and I am really sorry to see this show go. The entire cast and clever writers deserve another season, and so do your intelligent viewers, NBC. Please bring it back!

  33. acepeezy on December 23rd, 2007 7:44 pm

what’s up with THAT??? journeyman was LEGIT-definitely one of the best shows on nbc…i was really getting into it…..i hope they bring it back…hearing it was cancelled made me feel the same way i felt when i heard firefly was cancelled on fox way back when…STINKIN’ (false) REALITY SHOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  34. Tom on December 23rd, 2007 9:04 pm

I am tired of quality shows getting cancelled! This was a very enjoyable and thought provoking show. The stories and the characters were very interesting. The last episode was truly excellent TV. I hope it can be picked up by another network like Upn or even Sci-Fi. For UPN, it would be a welcome addition to Smallville and Supernatural. Well I heard the mind numbing Chuck got picked up. Good work NBC!

  35. Scott on December 24th, 2007 5:39 am

    NBC:

With my limited knowledge of the show selection process, I may be missing something. Apparently, all pilots and concepts go through a multi layered approval process which requires the support and praise of network staff. I understand some shows are championed by small sects within the network while others seem to hit a level of popularity across many departments with varying interests. Journeyman apparently is a production with limited support within the network. And those supporters have been alienated by poor viewership, a change in priorities or one of numerouts other reasons.

By these postings and many of the other editorial comments I have perused, the quality of the show is attracting a stronger fan base as it has time to build its audience. With this building audience and an a realization that a loyal fan base can spread its passion through word of mouth, someone in the industry may step forward to take on the risk of this low rated gem in an effort to build a long term fan base. This may not be NBC, but another network may have foresight to acquire this ‘failed’ venture. I will do my personal best to spread my feelings about the show and extend my appreciation in any way possible.

Thanks for thinking about it, NBC

  36. Jay Pee on December 24th, 2007 4:24 pm

Dan should go back in time and tell everyone about his show and help boost the ratings.

  37. Kevin Minson on December 24th, 2007 10:26 pm

    it wasnt officially cancelled yet.

  38. natalie on December 25th, 2007 1:38 pm

NOOO!!! It can’t be! This is one of my fav. shows. I’ve lost so many shows to cancellations now, I can’t stand losing yet another, especially Journeyman.:(

  39. Brad C on December 25th, 2007 11:39 pm

Sure it will be cancelled. It is on NBC. If it was on CBS it would have made it. People probabaly never even gave it a chance, because they are so used to anything on NBC, save Law & Order, being terrible. It is sad they didn’t try another time slot, because it has become a rather good, thought-provoking show. Meanwhile crap like Survivor and Americas Next Top Model will continue to haunt the airwaves for yet another season. Hell even that pathetic Navy NCIS continues to play; a debauchery for anyone who has ever served in the military or law enforcement. I will miss Journeyman. Seems anything on NBC pretty much gets a death sentence,(primarilly because they earned it). When something decent comes along, it arrives too late.

  40. Shawn on December 26th, 2007 7:08 am

Why why why!? This was a staple of my Monday night lineup. The show was just starting to take off. Why is America so smitten with Reality, Game and Crime TV shows?

I had stopped watching the big 3 Networks for many years because they just didn’t have anything on that I wanted to watch. Then came Heroes. Wow! Incredible show. It was different then all the other junk that was on at that time. A year or so passes and I hear about a new show called Chuck and one called Journeyman. I watch the first episodes. Chuck drew me in fast but Journeyman did not. However, I gave Journeyman a few more episodes and ended up liking it more than Heroes.

My wife and I really like Journeyman. It is such a shame that it is on the chopping block. As others have said, I hope another company can pick it up and continue on with the series. If not then at least give us a two hour movie to wrap everything up.

Knock another creative show off the list. :-(

  41. James on December 26th, 2007 7:00 pm

This show got better and better. It was my favorite current program - the only show I had blacked out on my calendar. The last two episodes were really stunning. My wife loved it, too. And now I’ll never know what it was all about??? The truth is out there!

Hopefully somebody over at SciFi will be smart enough to pick the show up. It’s far better than the remakes of Flash Gordon and Battlestar Galactica they have been showing Friday evenings.

  42. Maha Man on December 26th, 2007 10:39 pm

This was the only NBC show I watched. ABC has lots of good shows but this was the only one I enjoyed on NBC. I’m sorry it was canceled. I turned on the TV 20 minutes ago hoping to watch this week’s feature.

  43. Mpls. Scott on December 27th, 2007 2:35 pm

Time Travel - Great concept to play with for writers. I love the concept as a viewer if done in a subtle manner. When a show is produced requiring some thought on the part of the audience, it tends to get shot down. How unfortunate that television generally fits the mindless category of leading one merely from comercial to comercial. I felt that Journeyman had potential to develop had the network chosen to give it time.

  44. colleen on December 27th, 2007 2:49 pm

they always seem to cancel the good shows and kept the crappy ones on the air. i hope things change and the show comes back!!

  45. Hank on December 27th, 2007 3:35 pm

I am so upset, Journeyman by far was the best show on Tv. Bring it back! Just like they did Jericho. This show was by far better than that show. If there is a TV GOD bring back JOURNEYMAN!

  46. Rich on December 27th, 2007 9:49 pm

Yeah you’ve P.O.S. shows STILL on like Medium and NCIS still on with crap acting and even more crap writing, but cancel a GREAT show with superb acting and writing. The story line was fun and the character development was great you cared about many characters. NBC is so out of touch it isn’t funny, they should sell it to a different network like USA or Sci-Fi… Everyone that has ever seen it has said the same as everyone else here on how much they liked the show.

  47. Terrence on December 27th, 2007 11:08 pm

I kept wondering why my DVR couldn’t locate the upcoming episodes and now I know. I am so brokenhearted. I haven’t been this disturbed about a good show being cancelled since Nowhere Man was stopped by UPN.

Journeyman was quickly becoming one of my favorite shows, up there with Nip Tuck, 24, and House. I think it’s a huge mistake not to give this show a chance. I only just stumbled upon it recently and I believe there are a multitude of people who would enjoy it, but simply don’t know about it.

Good writing, great actors, interesting storylines, and outstanding potential…cancelled by NBC’s bad judgment.

  48. Andres on December 28th, 2007 7:42 pm

I also wonder how the ..&^*.. Nielsen rates shows. I actually try to watch my favorite series on the network official website so that they know somebody actually is watching, but it seems that if you are a good show your chances are close to zero to last more than a couple of seasons. Commander in Chief (ABC), Enterprise (UPN), Letters from Tucson (WB), Everwood (WB), Journeyman (NBC). All gone!

My wife and I have an ongoing joke, that we just don’t say aloud if we like a show. Especially if we both like it, then it is almost a sure thing that it will get canceled.

Oh well, at least there is always NPR.

  49. Al on December 28th, 2007 8:12 pm

It was my favorite show this season. I could not wait for Monday nights at 10 (and I never look forward to mon.). Please NBC give it another chance.

  50. Sam on December 28th, 2007 8:19 pm

There is nothing NBC will or can do without the writers. They just can not perform without writers. What a shame! If this was on CBS or other Station then it would still be airing and will be more rating in the 2008. But too bad.
If NBC is smart enough then they should put it back on air.
Too bad NBC can not see the value of the story. Why do they insist on cancelling good stuff and leave the crap on?

  51. JoJo on December 28th, 2007 10:32 pm

Well, how disappointing. I truly cannot believe that they would cancel a show that has the potential to have a huge following as big as, if not bigger, Quantum Leap and Heroes. I record this show with my DVR as I do with most of my shows so that I can watch them on the weekend. Nielson ratings is antiquated. I think that if they don’t want it, just move it and put it on before or after The 4400, Eureka, or Supernatural!

I prefer this show to Quantum Leap because Dan has a family, which adds substance to the entire storyline. He is NOT alone. This is one of my favorite shows. I find it as good as Pushing Daisies, which is still on. What’s the deal?

  52. Lynn on December 29th, 2007 12:18 am

I am sadden that they have canceled Journeyman, I thought it was one of the best new shows. What can we do to get it back? Everyone I talked to are shocked that it is no longer being made. Most of the good shows take time to get a following, it’s too bad NBC didn’t give it a chance.

  53. Ryan on December 29th, 2007 5:26 am

Excellent show. I’m really going to miss journeyman, nbc is making a huge mistake not picking it back up. I really do believe that since nbc only cares about the crummy nielsen ratings, that they should try moving the time slot and see if ratings are better. While I’ve loved every episode, my instinct is telling me this show gets a lot more support and was much more popular than nbc really thinks it is. We should try and save this show, or pray that it continues. This show had incredible potential, what a travesty it really is to end like this.

  54. Kevin Minson on December 29th, 2007 8:59 pm

If any is anyone who is in love with Journeyman and would like to have it put on the air again, please visit this site http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?jmf to sign the petition to keep this great television great on the air. Thanks for the support!!

  55. CS on December 29th, 2007 9:26 pm

Reading through the comments I see my own feelings reflected. Like other couples mentioned above, my husband and I waited for Monday evening to watch Jounneyman together. It kept us thinking..what is next? What scenarios could come up? Not only have we enjoyed while watching each week, but it has also been a part of some interesting conversations. We hope it can be saved…

  56. CS on December 29th, 2007 9:28 pm

    It is a shame.

  57. Nancy C on December 30th, 2007 1:13 pm

I believe this was one of the best series in the new season. I do not know which episode was the best. They were all so good. Each one kept you guessing what was going to happen next. I thought it was better than a lot of the major movies that come out. It actually got me to start watching one of the major channels again. I thought there is hope for NBC. I am more than disappointed. I actually could miss just about every other program of the week except this one. Whoever wrote the episodes did a tremendous job.

  58. jadelu on December 30th, 2007 5:18 pm

I loved Journeyman what a great show! I hate the fact that it has been cancelled! It is one of the best shows on TV! Bring it back!

  59. BRN on December 30th, 2007 8:08 pm

What a shame. I just finished watching the last 2 episodes and went online to find when the next episode was scheduled to air and instead I find out its been canceled. It really was the best new show this season

  60. Iam on December 30th, 2007 8:19 pm

Short sited this show was just starting to get interesting. it had me at my TV every Monday at 10 pm, was the best new show of the season.

  61. Sam on December 31st, 2007 4:57 am

Journeyman was one of the best programmes we (my husband and I) have watched for a while. Everyone remembers Quantum Leap, it’s a classic. Journeyman had the potential to become such a classic. This show was well written, well cast and very clever. Why are most people interested in dumbed down tV or ‘reality’ tv. Bad news for my New Year!

  62. Nat on December 31st, 2007 10:22 am

Please don’t cancel. This is my new favorite show. I’m so upset!! :(
I’ve been dying for a time travel type of drama and now that I finally got one it’s going away???? NBC please bring this show back!!!!

  63. Irishred on December 31st, 2007 4:18 pm

I am very upset with TV shows any more. Journeyman IS a great show and I started liking that better than Hero’s. Those are the only two shows that I watch on NBC. Oh well, I guess I can keep watching that crap “Reality TV” (pass on that). If Family Guy can come back than Journeyman can too.

  64. Twilyght on December 31st, 2007 8:31 pm

I am pleased to see my own thoughts reflected in many of the comments here. Journeyman is a will thought out engaging show that has had me from the first episode. Like so many here, I too had quit watching network television because of all the stupid low budget “reality” TV shows. I really don’t give a rat’s ass who next the “Biggest Loser”, “American’s Top Model”, “Dancing with the Stars” will be. I do care about what Dan’s next mission is and how all the time travel is going to effect all of the relationships within his family. I think that NBC is making a huge mistake by cancelling this show and I hope they will reconsider and give the show another chance in a better time slot.

  65. JLo on January 1st, 2008 10:42 am

I feel the same way alot of the posters do. It was a great show. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. We could not wait to get the our kids to bed and find the show waiting for us on our DVR. Time travel shows must have great writters and this show had em. Thank you for such a great show! I really hope it comes back, maybe not on NBC…..I really hope another channel picks it up and they reap the benefits of it and show NBC what a gem they had. I visited the blogs and petitions sites to save the show, I urge all who read this to do the same.

  66. Viporpa on January 2nd, 2008 5:30 am

Just bring the show back ! As many have said already , hopefully another network will pick it up. NBC owns Sci-Fi and once Stargate moved there it went onto be a huge hit. Lets just hope Journeyman has the same fate.

  67. bruce on January 2nd, 2008 7:51 am

The last episode was fabulous. Sad to see it go.

I am totally up for signing a petition. How would we start it?

  71. Susan on January 2nd, 2008 8:56 pm

I can’t believe they canceled the Journeyman. This was one show that I really enjoyed and it was getting really good. Why is it the good stuff gets canceled and the crap stays on. Bring it back!!!!!

  72. Kit on January 3rd, 2008 2:51 pm

I really enjoyed watching journeyman, either on television or on the internet.

how do we get this show back on, now i’ll never be able to learn more about dan vasser and tachyons.

  73. JourneymanAddict on January 3rd, 2008 9:21 pm

NBC is just like Dell…full of BS……… hahahahahahahhahhhahaha

  74. Jay Noriega on January 4th, 2008 8:51 pm

THIS TOTALLY SUCKS! I watched that show and totally loved it. Great story, interesting characters, if only they would put these shows that are good on an earlier time slot, more people would watch it. 10pm is TOO LATE for many! First was ROSWELL then INVASION, now JOURNEYMAN! This sucks for us Sci-Fi Fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  75. Julie on January 5th, 2008 2:47 pm

This stinks! Every GREAT show NBC has they CANCEL!!! Last year they cancelled my favorite CROSSING JORDAN and now JOURNEYMAN! I think we DESERVE to atleast have them Finish the story!! They should atleast tape a show or two to wrap up the story so we are not just left hanging!!! After the Many seasons of Crossing Jordan they dumped it without even giving us fans a nice conclusion episode. NBC you stink! I am going to another network!!!!

  76. Farrah Wells on January 6th, 2008 9:46 am

I really enjoyed JOURNEYMAN I even set my recorder for the nights I could not stay up late just so I did not miss a thing. I really hope they find a way to bring it back !

  77. michelle on January 6th, 2008 3:30 pm

wtf!!! i just found this out now??? this was my favorite new show!!! and they have the gaul to leave that peice of crap Bionic Woman on??? give me a break!! whoever are deciding these things are IDIOTS!!

  78. Jason on January 6th, 2008 8:13 pm

There should be a major boycott to bring this show back just as we the fans brought back Jericho. This show has very interesting storylines and characters and NBC has the balls to cancel this show, no wonder ABC & FOX are kicking it’s butt in the ratings.

  79. Terry on January 6th, 2008 9:07 pm

Enough is enough! I’m sick and tired of getting into a show and starting to like it then it gets canceled just like that. The networks need to get their greedy heads out of each others asses and actually put and leave good quality programs on instead of worrying about lining their pockets.

  80. Candi Crawshaw on January 6th, 2008 9:20 pm

I AM SO PISSED!!!!!!!!! Im seriously about to cry! This always happens to me! My favorite show was Tru Calling but noooo they had to cancel it, now Journeyman, before it even finished the first season! I loved this show! It was amazing! I was counting down the days until Monday and when I watched it I was sitting on the edge of my chair! How can it not get enough good ratings?!?! Stupid heros…….. Journeyman kicks Heros butt! ugh!!! i hate whoever did this to me!!!

  81. Eva on January 7th, 2008 1:08 am

Our family totally loved Journeyman…again network producers cut a great show. Why do you idiots always cut shows that appeal to families? Why do your stupid shows continue…especially those with nothing but sex, drugs, and psycho nut jobs? Honestly, just leave the good stories alone and stop producing the crap that you continue to air season after season!

  82. DAWN on January 7th, 2008 6:37 am

THEY WOULDN’T KNOW A GOOD TELEVISION SHOW IF IT KICKED THEM IN THE A$$!!! THIS SICKENS ME!!! i ALSO LOVE THE SHOW HEROES, BUT DON’T THINK i CAN STAND TO WATCH IT ON NBC ANYMORE. NBC HAS OFFICIALLY BECOME THE DUMBEST NETWORK EVER TO CROSS THE TELEVISION SCREEN. MY TV WILL NEVER AGAIN BE TURNED ONTO NBC.

  83. Bobby on January 7th, 2008 8:02 am

    January 30, 2009:

NBC has shut it’s doors today after network viewers diminished to only 30. This all a result from cancelling Journeyman one year prior. If only they had known.

    January 7, 2008:

Save Journeyman, save NBC. It’s that simple.

  84. Jordanna on January 7th, 2008 3:05 pm

NBC is making a HUGE mistake!!!!!!! They go off the ratings, but the problem with that is, it doesn’t include people who have dvr, and record it. Networks really should figure out a different, and better way of finding out if a show should be cancelled, like polling the veiwing audience, they maybe be surprised at the outcome of the results. It is getting very annoying that great shows keep getting taken off the air, because network mogules can’t figure out a better way of judging how popular a show is with this new line of technology that so many of us use (ex. tivo, and dvr).

  85. Mike Pernatozzi on January 7th, 2008 3:14 pm

I couldn’t be more disappointed. Journeyman was intelligent, first class entertainment and surpassed anything else on network television. I actually looked forward to Monday nights - something I haven’t done in many years for a television show. This decision by NBC is a travesty. Viva Journeyman!

  86. Kristie on January 7th, 2008 3:57 pm

This was the best show on TV. NBC will not be watched by me on Mondays anymore!

  87. Ethan Griffin on January 7th, 2008 5:03 pm

You said….”NBC has shut it’s doors today after network viewers diminished to only 30. This all a result from cancelling Journeyman one year prior. If only they had known.”

ENTER JOURNEYMAN - Now, renew the series and send Kevin McKidd back in time to save the network from implosion. OMG, I love this show Journeyman, and it pains me terribly to think it will never have a new episode. It’s creative, heart warming and the characters have a chemistry. I want to see the relationships develop…especially between him and his son. May be his son could TRAVEL too?

The timelines that could be written for the show are limitless….Keep it on the air!!!!

This was the best show on TV. NBC will not be watched by me on Mondays in the future! My DVD will have better things to record for sure. Maybe on the Sci-Fi Channel? Maybe a Journeyman “movie” in the theaters would spark the series to return?

  88. Pip on January 7th, 2008 5:36 pm

Journeyman is a great show and it had substance and a show that I could watch with my young son and not be embassed by sex and inappropriate language and I guess that is why is didn’t last and sex and laughs sells and our families and children are going to hell in a hand basket. And once again, I will flip the channels until I find something of quality to watch or I will keep my T.V. off until the Cosby show comes back(smile). Good luck America, we have lost another quality show and hopefully the cast will find other work and hopefully we will peek into the future and see a show that will have quality and won’t be taken off the air because it didn’t bring in the advertising dollars and our networks keep repeating the same mistakes, what’s more important in producing shows? Money!!!!!!!! We need it to buy food and provide shelter, so I understand, but, it still hurts to see a person come into your home invited and is lost in a few episodes. I guess it’s not the networks fault, it’s the people who desire the shows that feed the flesh instead of the soul.

  89. Lars on January 7th, 2008 6:28 pm

I just found out “Journeyman” was cancelled. It was a fun show to watch and get into the characters. It was one of the only shows I looked forward to watching each week. May the sci-fi channel can pick it up.

  90. Maria P on January 7th, 2008 6:56 pm

I am so annoyed that they cancelled this show!!! I don’t watch any TV anymore because I feel like its all crap…This was the FIRST show in a LONG time that I really started gettting hooked on. Now I (once again) have NOTHING to watch! PLEASE BRING JOURNEYMAN BACK!!!!

  91. dANIEL on January 7th, 2008 6:58 pm

Great Show. The lead actor was the second coming of Steve McQueen. Great writing. Good character development. What happened? Sorry to see it go. It had that magic… the cast … jelled right. I loved the editor, character. Save “Journeyman”!!!

  92. Ian C on January 7th, 2008 8:24 pm

WHY! This is horrible. My wife and I love this show. She lost intrest after first episode, but then fell in love with it a couple later. I was in from the begining. You need more Advertising or something. It’s a great idea and can do so well. Kind of like Quantum Leap for the now. MORE MORE MORE. This means back to the pay channels if there is no change. You could at least finish the season…..and then make another one and another and so on. SAVE JOURNEYMAN!!!!!

  93. Fiva on January 7th, 2008 10:57 pm

I’m so pissed off with the cancellation. I wonder if this is some dirty scheme for NBC to get people to buy the DVD series if/when it comes out.

  94. Elaine on January 8th, 2008 10:29 am

This totally rots me! I’m in Ireland and have been waiting for the next show since December 21st. It’s being shown on Sky One here on Thurday nights at 10pm, after Bones, which I think is an ideal time slop for it.
But anyway, forget about timing and advertising and all that rubbish, Journeyman was, IS a good show! It’s a travesty that it’s being taken off the air. Just think of the utter horsesh!!t that’s been left on air. I mean, Desperate Housewives?? In fairness, how fricking desperate would ya want to be to watch that cr@p? Or 24. I mean, someone give that moron a day off!! Or even The Simspons. These shows are well past their sell-by dates and yet because they are lucrative cash cows they are rolled out season after season. It’s Firefly all over again. Apparently it doesn’t matter what the viewers want to watch, it just matters what companies want to buy ad time and make fricking lunch boxes and games etc. in relation to the show.
We have to do something about this…. What can the Irish do???

  95. Lisa on January 8th, 2008 10:45 am

I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY CANCELLED JOURNEYMAN!!!!!!

  96. Lisa on January 8th, 2008 10:49 am

I loved Journeyman - I even had my husband hooked on it. I can’t believe they bring back a show that has been off the air for a year or two - that is showing on Lifetime. That is complete crap!!!!!!!!!

  97. Gayle Reece on January 8th, 2008 11:11 am

Network TV is just plain boring. Journeyman was very good, so was Jericho, so is anything not named CSI or some such letters. (So was LOST at the first 2 seasons). I agree with all of you that the Executives just don’t have a clue.
I highly recommend Torchwood, at least the BBC knows that mystery and sci fi are entertaining and can be aimed to adults. This will be the year of not watching network tv ever again in my house (except CBS Sunday Morning, that is still an excellent show)
    Shame on you NBC

  98. Hans on January 8th, 2008 1:08 pm

Poor girl. First she’s in Daybreak and it gets cancelled. Now she’s in Journeyman and it gets cancelled.

Loved Daybreak, but Daybreak was either loved or hated. This show everyone loves. If there is ever a sure winner, this was it. It could have gone a lot of seasons.

So many questions now left unanswered.

  99. John on January 8th, 2008 2:37 pm

This was the only show I have watched religiously on TV! I get up at 5:00AM so I am usually getting ready for bed about 10:00 but Mondays I had something to look forward to. Now whoopytydo nothing….I am so not happy Please continue this show

  100. Stan - Emeryville on January 8th, 2008 4:44 pm

Dumb and Dumber! These are the folks who cancelled my show aka NBC. There’s the sign post ahead next stop - BBCA. If you like Journeyman you’ll find some gratification there but don’t expect it to fill the void of Journeyman.
Torchwood, Coupling (laughs, but pretty racy but well thoughtout), Ramsey’s kitchen nightmares. I’m so pissed and sad in the same breath. I’m in total shock and disbelief that Journeyman is gone. This show has such good balance and timing yet some of the scenery was off. (Dan’s home with the TransAmerican building in the background) This show was great for my family on Monday night, ON MONDAY! The worst day of the week for most of us. Damn! That was a good show unlike anything I’ve seen in a along time. Not like most shows you see on the tube these days, A person gets killed at the beginning of every espisode, slashed, murdered, pushed in front a moving Zamboni and here comes a group of folks finding clues left behind by stupid criminals that are nothing short of note saying I did, here’s how I did it and you’ll find me at my Mom’s house in the basement come by anytime. You dumb S#!ts stop messing around and put my show back on by Mid February and we’ll pretend this never happend.

    Love
    Stan

  101. Wendy on January 8th, 2008 8:42 pm

I want to add my name to the list of, “I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY CANCELED JOURNEYMAN!!!!!!” I too thought it a great show, different from the rest. I emailed NBC too. I do believe in miracles.

  102. Kenneth Tran on January 9th, 2008 2:24 am

One of the best shows ever. This just shows how good this show is. I hardly ever write anything or blog or even care about voting for the next president. Yet I would petition to save this show. Save this show man. Time travel shows are always interesting for me. This is one of the few shows that I do watch on tv. This I believe is on the same level as Heros.

  103. Margaret on January 9th, 2008 4:34 pm

    BRING BACK JOURNEYMAN YOU DUMBASSES!

and you wonder why NBC has the lowest ratings?

  104. Patty on January 9th, 2008 6:17 pm

This is a GREAT SHOW! and it’s getting better every week!!
how disappointing to hear it will be cancelled!!!
SHAME ON YOU NBC!! for luring people in and they abandoning them!!

  105. Rick F on January 9th, 2008 6:34 pm

I’ve seen several time travel series and this one had it all. There was another show a while back that they used a time machine to send the guy back 6 days or something whenever there was a disaster. The premise was good but the writing was poor. No duplication paradox scenarios very simple minded. Can’t compare this to quantum leap because Dr. Beckit was on his own except for the hologram and the computer for the most part. This was a real guy, ina real environment with real human issues to deal with. Excellent writing, excellent acting, heart, soul, conflict. What else could anyone ask for. I have to wonder if the technology is hitting a little too close to what can really be done. Yeah I know I sound like a conspiracy theorist but I have to wonder. Great show, best time travel series ever done. As somone else said, perhaps it will get picked up by Sci-Fi channel. THe audience is perfect. Anyone emailed them yet?

  106. Jay RN BSN BA on January 9th, 2008 6:55 pm

Fantastic show! The show was very well thought out, probably to intelligent for the average viewer (and NBC execs). It seems like the trend in prime time TV these days is to produce soap opera like show to entrap the weak minded and force them to view every weak to keep up with the plot, i.e. HEROES. Though I like the Heroes it’s too freaking slow. Throw the audience a bone every once and awhile.

This show was nothing like that. Each show had its own plot with conflict/resolution and an underlying subplot that slowly unraveled as weeks went on to reveal a very complex and integrated theme. Please stop pandering to the weak minded NBC the nightly news already does that quite nicely.

  107. A. Mondrago on January 9th, 2008 7:59 pm

I hardly watch any TV but this was the one show I really enjoyed and looked forward watching every week. I have been wondering why it hasn’t been showing, this is the reason why I went onto the internet to find out what was going on.

I am very dissapointed that the show has been cancelled, in my opinion this is a very well written show. I hope that NBC can reconsider their decision and bring it back.

This is a different show than any other on the air right now. Please forward these comments to NBC and keep your fingers crossed.

  108. JourneyManFan on January 9th, 2008 9:22 pm

I really hope that they make a few more episodes, or another channel picks the series up. I really love this show, it’s way better than Heroes and any other show on NBC.

  109. wes on January 10th, 2008 12:34 am

It was really starting to get interesting. This is such a bad decision by NBC. Clearly the best new show, and one of the best overall shows on TV. Shame on you NBC.

  110. floydrules on January 10th, 2008 1:42 am

Save Journeyman!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great show. I am so interested in seeing the full plot develop now. There is a reason Dan has helped each of the people he has, and i want the big picture filled in. Thanks for leaving us hanging NBC. Show the reruns during the writer’s strike and by now, through word of mouth, i’m confident many people would tune in to this amazing show…

    Give it a chance.

  111. Rick on January 10th, 2008 1:43 pm

Are you kidding me? I found out about this while trying to find out when the new episodes were going to start again because I hadn’t seen anything on my DVR for the last couple of weeks. This is the best new show of the year, hands down! The characters were interesting and the story was just starting to unfold. I too want the big picture filled in! This sucks - if NBC doesn’t change it’s mind - I hope it does get picked up by one of the other networks. Unbelievable - someone, or a lot of someones at NBC don’t know what they are doing.

  112. Renae on January 10th, 2008 1:44 pm

Cancelled - what a bunch of crap! Journeyman was a great show and I looked forward to watching it each week. I suppose we’ll just see more reality show crap now.

  113. DTM on January 10th, 2008 2:41 pm

Best new show of the season and they cancel.

    Idiots.

  114. KRaider on January 10th, 2008 3:50 pm

I can not believe the stupid, stupid, stupid decisions of some network execs.

  115. Jesse on January 10th, 2008 5:09 pm

I cant believe that! Journeyman is the BEST show in TV! There’s got to be something we can do to bring it back! Petition or whatever, I am all for it. PLEASE DONT CANCEL IT! Its the only show i look forward to watching every week!

  116. Linda on January 10th, 2008 5:14 pm

NBC needs to get this show back on the air. If the show didn’t have enough viewers on that night because of what might be airing on other networks, change the night or time. I believe there are alot of us out there who love this show. NBC really blew it!!!

  117. Gene on January 10th, 2008 8:05 pm

This show was getting better and better… I was actually enjoying the storyline better than Heroes. Stupid NBC decisions, you finally get something right and then screw it all up! Maybe they should just cash in their feathers and have someone else make the decisions because lately they’re just spiraling down, down, down…

    Bring this show back!

  118. Barbara Schuyler on January 10th, 2008 8:32 pm

OMG…I just googled Journeyman to see when it was going to start up now that the holidays are over and couldn’t believe my eyes. Ditto ditto ditto to all of the above. Are all the TV network moguls weenies?? I don’t think they’re so much as STUPID as CHICKEN SH_TS. What are you afraid of?? Oooo…is the show too “unGod-like”?? What is it that you all seem so afraid of…it’s not just Journeyman but all the others that have gotten cancelled. Does anyone else out there see a pattern?

  119. Patricia Matthaeus on January 11th, 2008 5:16 pm

I can’t believe Journeyman was cancelled. I loved that show. The last two episodes really were the best. Why not cancel Pushing Daisies? that show sucks. But I guess weird sells today. NBC used to be such a good station to watch. Now it is one of the worst. At least they can put an ending to it for the fans that watched. They owe us that much. Don’t bring T.V. show to the public and get them interested, and then cancel them before ending the series. Do you people not learn from your mistakes. How sad.

  120. TParker on January 11th, 2008 5:44 pm

Journeyman is, by far, the greatest show on television right now. (Perhaps ever.) I cannot believe NBC fails to see the quality action/drama this show is! I realize reality television is much cheaper and for individuals who do not want to think for themselves entertaining. However, there are people who like shows that challenge you to think. I liked keeping up with the storyline of the many travels of Dan Vaser. It was always interesting to see if the writers stayed true to the timeline. (Which is often difficult in shows with time travel.) The writers did a superb job of staying true to the script. The actors did a superb job convincing the audience they WERE the characters. Maybe if we write enough emails to NBC we can bring “Journeyman” back to television. I cannot believe my family is the ONLY one tuning in to this awesome show!

  121. Elizabeth on January 12th, 2008 6:29 am

I think all of us agree that cancelling NBC’s show, Journeyman, is a huge mistake. I, too, agree that Journeyman was an absolutely awesome show with excellent acting, drama, writing, etc. Though, instead of complaining about it being cancelled we should rather write and sign a petition, go to save-journeyman.blogspot.com or savejourneyman.net, or email NBC to save this show. Get into action people!

  122. TCushing on January 12th, 2008 6:39 am

Well, it just figures. Somehow they find out that I really love a show, so they cancel it. I think it must be a mantra with TV executives: “Dump The Quality, Keep The Crap. Dump The Quality, Keep The Crap. Dump The Quality, Keep The Crap.”
And not just NBC. They all do it. They take polls. If a show appeals to thinking people, it goes. If the morons love it, it stays. Trouble is, there are far more morons than thinking people. Majority wins. Then they vote. That’s the really scary part.

  123. Lynda Mow on January 12th, 2008 10:36 am

I just went online to find out when my favorite show will be back on. I was thinking it was off because of the writers strike. Of course, nothing so simple. The only simple thing is the simple minded people that make these decisions. This is an incredibly well crafted and imaginative show. Remember imagination, it is what has been rejected in place of the same mind numbing reality crap. I get enough of reality in every day life. Imagination is the beginning of creativity and art, and just plain fun. I know the real problem, no gratuitous violence, or half naked dumb blonde girls, just great story lines and a feeling of I wonder what will happen next. I hope some other network is smart enough to pick this show up, but that is probably not possible either. Yes, I am ticked!!!!! I think the only people they poll are teenagers. I am so sick of all the crap, crap crap on TV.

  124. Gina on January 12th, 2008 2:11 pm

My family and I were devastated to learn the news of Journeyman’s cancellation. This was one show that our whole family could sit down and enjoy together without the worry of unnecessary violence or adult language. We couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next, or to learn about others like Dan (as in the last episode aired). HOW COULD THEY DO THAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!??!!??!??!??!?!?!?!? We also have teenagers in the house that are as loyal viewer’s as the adults are. With the junk that they have on t.v. now, I cannot believe that this show would be cut.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  125. Carol on January 12th, 2008 2:56 pm

Hi, I am devastated that this grat show is not being renewed, the only shows that seem to succeed are REALITY because they are cheap to produce.NBC needs to reconsider!!!

  126. Ricardo on January 12th, 2008 2:58 pm

I am a portuguese fan of the show. Journeyman doesn’t air here in Portugal, but thanks to the Internet I can keep up with the show. I mean, could….
NBC, bring Journeyman back! If you don’t do it for America, do it for Portugal! yeah!

  127. Terri on January 12th, 2008 6:56 pm

I am so bummed. Journeyman was my second favorite new show this season. It is smart and just enough twists to keep you coming back for more. This is a travesty, when all that reality crap keeps going on and on. and an intellegent, make you think show, gets cancelled. Please sign me up if there is a petition to get the show continued.

  128. sands on January 12th, 2008 10:40 pm

Oh my god no. This is wrong. I can not deal that this show is done. I Loved this show. Only thing I watch beside Greys and Greys is falling off. Ugh How can we get it back on air?

  129. Jack on January 13th, 2008 3:12 pm

Thank God!!!! Now I don’t have to spend an extra hour in front of the TV.

  130. Dominik on January 13th, 2008 3:36 pm

For resources that will help us save this fantastic show, visit this site -> http://www.geoscope.com.au/journeyman. I too can’t believe that such a quality show is not being renewed!

  131. Luke J on January 13th, 2008 7:17 pm

It is a shame that this show got taken off the air. Like most people said it was one good show in a season mostly full of junk. I think if you changed the slot to a different day it would make a whole lot of difference. Anywho I hope it makes it back on the air :(

  132. FED UP! on January 13th, 2008 9:57 pm

“JOURNEYMAN CANCELLED!?!?!?”…..”YOU”VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!”… Out of all the networks, NBC has the least quality programming available! I cannot believe they would actually cancel one of the “few” programs they had going for them. One bad decision after another!!!
My entire family represents the prime marketshare which all networks are trying to reach. I regret to inform NBC they are failing miserably. I can speak for my family in saying that we are done giving NBC a chance.
This is a perfect example of NETWORK SUICIDE!

  133. Bren on January 13th, 2008 10:46 pm

    My suggestion to all corporations who plan to advertise their products or services on television;
DO NOT waste your advertising dollars on the NBC network.
If they continue to cancel the programs we viewers enjoy, NO ONE WILL BE WATCHING!!

  134. scott on January 14th, 2008 4:07 am

Thanks NBC for giving us the only nite to watch tv from 8 pm to 11 pm…Journyman appeals to people who dont take part in your surveys I guess…Everyone I talk to about Heros loves Journyman…I will continue to watch Chuck and Heros, but I WILL NOT WATHCH and am going to get everyone i know to swith to another channel after Heros…Wow you are really letting go of the best show this past fall. Bionic woman sucks so bad you should have put it up against the wed nite ABC croud..Hate when great shows get pulled and trash is still left on the air…Tru Calling was a show like this wth great acting and a what if premiss that got cancelled..Maybe the CW will pick up Journyman and give us something we want to want other than BIG BROTHER..I hate tv sometimes

  135. Manxman on January 14th, 2008 5:27 am

I can’t believe the way they cancel good shows in order to put on crap.
Like American Gladiator and The Super Nanny. What a bunch of Dumb-Ass Program Coordinators.

  136. adam on January 14th, 2008 8:20 am

This was the best show I have seen in a long time. I really hope all of this comes down to the writers strike and Journeyman comes back after this is all over. I really loved this show!! NBC Please bring Journeyman back!!!

  137. ric on January 14th, 2008 11:09 am

They always seem to cancel the good shows (shows that you can’t second guess what’s going to happen next) and leave the stupid shows that you exactly whats going to happen 20 minutes before it happens.. What’s wrong with NBC?

  138. ric on January 14th, 2008 11:13 am

I can not beleive they did his I mean they did it to “E-ring”, “The black donnelys” and now this but they keep playing bionic woman the apprentice , my name is earl , deal or no deal ECT. ….. I mean not that all those shows are that bad but I think that journeyman was much much better

  140. Gabriella on January 14th, 2008 1:02 pm

I absolutely LOVED this show. I saw EVERY SINGLE episode.

    Enjoyed them all.

    PLEASE someone bring it back!

This was just about the only reason I would watch TV on Monday nights!

    So sad

    So sad
    :’(

What a damn good show this was!!!!

  141. Nick on January 14th, 2008 1:40 pm

In addition to NBC having canceled this awesome show, there was another show canceled not too long ago that I really enjoyed…Traveler. I hate getting into a show and the characters and then all of a sudden the show is gone. Journeyman was a good completion to the Monday lineup of Chuck, Heroes, Journeyman. Heroes is all messed up now, Chuck is gone for the time-being (hopefully IT doesn’t get canceled) but Journeyman is gone. Bleh. Annoying.

  142. Sheila on January 14th, 2008 3:21 pm

They did it to Surface too…left us with a cliffhanger and never came back:-( Makes me SO mad!

  143. Sheila on January 14th, 2008 3:22 pm

And I agree with you Gayle Reece, Torchwood is AWESOME too! (I’m a new Doctor Who fan as well)

  144. Geoff on January 14th, 2008 5:24 pm

I am really bummed!! Journeyman is the show that got me watching network TV again. Most of the stuff on NBC and the rest is all crap, especially the sitcoms. If it’s no longer on the air, it’s bye bye NBC for me. You just lost a viewer. I”m so sick of the big 3 catering to pre-teens.

  145. Joey on January 14th, 2008 7:08 pm

I have been looking for the show the past couple of weeks and finally I thought they might have put the show in a different time slot or something…only to find out that it was cancelled! I don’t watch alot of these sci fi things but was totally into it and am sooooo bugged that they nixed it! I love the show and I want it back dang-it!

  146. John on January 14th, 2008 7:15 pm

The medium is horrible, Journey Man was the best show they have had for the longest time, they should of tried giving it an earlier slot.

  147. Zachary on January 14th, 2008 8:45 pm

If you want to make a difference, get everyone you know to email the NBC network directly and demand the return of Journeyman. It is the only way the NBC network will get a clue. “SPREAD the WORD” - It appears that many fans have assumed the writers strike was the reason they have not seen any new episodes of Journeyman lately. Once everyone realizes that in fact NBC has made an idiotic decision to cancel Journeyman, perhaps the outcry for it to come back will make enough of an impact on NBC. After all, what else does this pathetic network have to offer. Journeyman was the “only” show we watched on NBC.

  148. Ann on January 14th, 2008 9:08 pm

Just read somewhere that the Network NBC had outsourced the production of Journeyman to the FOX Network. Perhaps the FOX Network would actually consider taking over this program. It would not hurt to email FOX as well and request this.

  149. Gary on January 14th, 2008 9:18 pm

Journeyman was my absolute favorite show on TV.

And, I’d *finally* succeeded in getting my stepdaughter to watching somethign other than mindless “reality TV” contrived drama by getting her interested in this one fantastic show called Journeyman, and what does NBC do? Cancel it? She almost cried when I told her.

NBC, you really have no clue what you’re doing. Nielsen ratings are not a complete representation of your viewers. Why is it you’re not factoring in DVR viewership? A lot of us out here catch these episodes after our DVR’s have recorded them. The fact that we didn’t watch it live shouldn’t even be a consideration.

  150. bob on January 15th, 2008 3:14 am

only show i actually made sure i saw each week…

  151. jamie on January 15th, 2008 8:18 am

That sucks. I was wondering when the next episode was going to be on. Guess there is another slot for more “reality” tv. Nice work NBC.

  152. lacey on January 15th, 2008 9:07 am

I just found out that stupid NBC has cancelled Journey Man and I could not be any more depressed!!! this is my FAVORITE show, I don’t miss an episode, the whole cast is great, and everyone I know watches it, so it has popularity. How can they leave crap on all the time that none of us want to watch, and take off the good stuff that has a huge fan following??? If Journey Man really is cancelled, I am done watching NBC. Why bother, anything u like will just be cancelled anyways. If there r petitions out there, I want to know, and if NBC doesn’t care, then enjoy your company WITHOUT FANS, CAUSE U SUCK!!!!!!!
As for the cast, I wish them the best, Kevin McKidd is a fantastic actor, the only reason why I watched Journey Man is cause I thought he was GREAT in Rome…

  153. Sam on January 15th, 2008 3:01 pm

OMG i loved this show this is dumb that they think that they can take it away without asking! who do they think they are???!?!?!?!? i started watching this in the middle of the season and i watched one show and i was hooked! i love it kevin mckidd is a great actor if nbc wont comme to their senses then COME ON SCI-FI TAKE THIS AND MAKE MILLIONS then nbc wil regret cancelling journeyman!!!!!!!!!!! i would watch it even if like disney channel took it on! ha!

  154. Scott on January 15th, 2008 8:37 pm

Journeyman is up there with Medium and Friday Night Lights, it just wasn’t given a chance. If NBC fails and doesn’t bring this show back, let’s hope a network that has vision like Fox (FX) picks it up. FX can take this show to the high level it deserves to be.

  155. Ronda on January 15th, 2008 10:29 pm

    I can&
