LOST: The New CLOVERFIELD?
January 31, 2008

Before we answer that question, I need to disclose two very important facts:
1. I love LOST. It is by far one of the best shows out there.
2. I hated CLOVERFIELD. I really did. I can’t say this enough. I came out of that movie angry and frustrated like I have rarely been.
Why did I hate this over-hyped movie? For two very simple reasons.
One: This movie tried and failed to be original.
The shaky camera work was supposed to immerse us into the action and make us feel like we were part of it. Not only did that not work for me. I actually felt dizzy watching that seizure-like camera movement. And you know that when they were shooting it, they were thinking “Let’s shake extra hard to keep the authenticity”. Such a waste of time and money.
Two: The ending did not answer anything
I defy anybody to tell me what the point of the movie was. There was absolutely no real conclusion to this movie. We don’t even know what caused the initial events. I don’t know about you but since the “Sixth Sense”, I have come to expect movies to deliver a shocking truth at the end. It’s sort of become a right for every moviegoer to get an ending that ties everything together in a neat package. Anything short of that doesn’t quite cut it.

PSYCH - “Dis-Lodged” (2×14) Pictures and Preview Clip
January 31, 2008
Guess who’s back? Our good old show PSYCH. This is such a relaxing reprieve from the constant of idiotic reality shows that seem to be clogging the tube now. It is the perfect marriage of procedural and comedy that really keeps me watching here. I definitely can’t wait for this new Psych episode “Dis-loged”.
Don’t forget to watch Psych Friday, February 1, at 10 pm on USA.
For now check out a promo, a preview clip, and more Psych “Dis-Lodged” pictures below.

Amie’s Top 10 All Time TV Shows: #1 - LOST
January 31, 2008

Amie - #1 LOST

This show is like Gilligan’s Island on crack. This is high praise as I loved G.I. and I hear crack is not that bad either. Every question is answered with two more questions; keeping me engaged week after week to find out what will happen. Will they leave the island? Will Ben turn out to be good? Is Desmond’s Scottish accent real? Will Sawyer run out of nicknames? How come Hurley hasn’t lost any weight? Did they really kill off Charlie, and if so, will he come back as a guest star and one of the many ghosts on the island? I need to know these things, and Season 4 better deliver!
Cast: Naveen Andrews, Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, Daniel Dae Kim, Yunjin Kim, Evangeline Lilly, Terry O’Quinn, Josh Holloway, Dominic Monaghan, Emilie de Ravin, Harold Perrineau, Maggie Grace, Michael Emerson, Henry Ian Cusick, and Malcolm David Kelley
