BEVERLY HILLS 90210 - A spinoff for The CW

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW is currently developing a spinoff of the popular BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 series. No details have been released as to what the new show would look like, but The CW is expected to make a decision as to whether it will order a pilot by the end of the month.

The good news: Rob Thomas (creator of Veronica Mars) is in talks to write it.

The bad: Are TV networks so out of ideas that they can’t come up with an original show about rich, young people?
