Review: AMERICAN IDOL "11 Finalists Compete"
The Top 11 performed on tonight on AMERICAN IDOL season 7 and before I go on to the review of each performance, I would like to say that I was very disappointed that it was another night of The Beatles songs. We already had one last week, did we really need another one? Are there no other themes they could come up with?
Don't get me wrong, I like The Beatles, but if I really wanted to listen to their songs, I would just get their albums.
Ok I feel better. Now on to the performances:
1. Amanda Overmyer
Thoughts: She is not getting any better. I agree with Simon, it's the same thing every week and unlike him, I don't think she's going to get boring, I think she already is boring.

2. Kristy Lee Cook
Thoughts: I don't care what the judges say, I really like Kristy Lee Cook. I find myself still humming her performances a few days later. Hopefully she'll stay another week.

3. David Archuleta
Thoughts: And I am happy to say that David Archuleta is back! I think it's safe to say that last week's disaster didn't affect his popularity in the least and I think he proved once again that he can bring it. Go David!

4. Michael Johns
Thoughts: Even though Michael Johns never got his mojo back since his "Bohemian Rhapsody" performance, I thought he did ok tonight. But I can't say he's on my favorites list.

5. Brooke White
Thoughts: I really love Brooke White, she can do no wrong. I thought she did good, it wasn't great but it wasn't as bad as Simon made it sound.

6. David Cook
Thoughts: It was pretty good, but not as good as last week. Still, I don't think there's any questions that David Cook is one of the best in this competition.

7. Carly Smithson
Thoughts: She was pretty good, but I felt the same way about Carly that I feel every week, not blown away, but she's ok.

8. Jason Castro
Thoughts: Jason Castro did it again. Another great performance and can I say good job with the French! What is up with the judges though, I think they are absolutely out of touch. Jason Castro totally rocked it! But I would like to thank Simon for acknowledging the fact that doing another night of The Beatles was not a good idea.

9. Syesha Mercado
Thoughts: WOW! Syesha stepped it up this week! Best of the night so far. I always said I liked her and now I know why.

10. Chikezie Eze
Thoughts: I really liked it. Chikezie has been doing good the last three weeks. And I'll be the first one to criticize him, but I can't. Also the crazy thing is I am agreeing less and less with Simon. We used to be on pretty much the same page during previous seasons, but I don't know what is up with him (or is it me?) this season.

11. Ramiele Malubay
Thoughts: It's sad to say, but I had forgotten that Ramiele was even in the competition. And her performance was also forgettable tonight, which doesn't bode well for her future on American Idol this season. Sorry.

So who's going to be in the bottom three tomorrow? Here are my guesses:
Ramiele Malubay, Amanda Overmyer, and Kristy Lee Cook
We'll have to tune in tomorrow to find out if I was right.

Yeah, not that great of a show this week around huh? I wish David A would've sung "Yesterday" I think he'd have done amazing. I didn't really know his song that well so I didn't like it AS much, but he still has the best voice I think....
This season is going downhill. Two weeks of Beatles Music is way too much. There are other songs out there for crying out loud.
