AMERICAN IDOL “1 of 5 Voted Off”

American Idol - Brooke White

The elimination round of AMERICAN IDOL was as boring as usual, but my prediction was right and BROOKE WHITE was eliminated tonight.

Well, like I said I was a big fan of Brooke White in the beginning, but the last few weeks I started to slowly not care about her anymore, and I guess the rest of America agreed with me.

Now, next week is going to be interesting because I assume that Syesha will be in the bottom again, but who will be in the bottom with her. I’m thinking it’s going to be Jason Castro, but we’ll have to wait and see next week.

TV Quote of the Day: DOCTOR WHO

April 30, 2008

Doctor Who
The Doctor: Now, first things first. Be honest. How do I look?
Rose: Umm. Different.
The Doctor: Good different or bad different?”

TV Show: Doctor Who

Episode: “The Christmas Invasion”

Character: The Doctor

Why we like it: This is the first episode that featured the newly-regenerated Doctor, played by David Tennant. With this line, David Tennant won over fans of Doctor Who, at least he won me over. It just encompasses everything that the Doctor is about. And of course this is only one of many, many wonderful quotes.

SMALLVILLE - “Apocalypse” (S07E18) Pictures and Videos

April 30, 2008

Tom Welling as Clark Kent

Well now that Lex is totally evil after not only killing his father but the only part of himself that was good, I am curious to find out what’s going to happen in the next episode of SMALLVILLE. This season is for sure a lot darker than we are used to. Not that I am complaining, but where are the days when Smallville was sweet and fun? I do enjoy the fact that they are taking the story where it needs to go. I love that they went all the way in making Lex evil, because in Season 1 you sort of liked the guy, now I’m not really sure, even though I do enjoy watching the character get deeper and deeper into his own evilness. If Smallville ever gets to a showdown between Clark and Lex, I want to be there.

Oh and I can’t believe they killed off Lionel! Big surprise for me, I guess it’s a good thing I try not to read spoilers.

Finally, check out the glasses on Clark in the picture above, we are getting closer and closer to the Superman character we know and love and that is very exciting.

Don’t forget to watch Smallville “Apocalypse” on Thursday, May 1, at 8pm on The CW.

For now check out a promo, preview clip, and more pictures for Smallville “Apocalypse” below.

Britney Spears is back on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

April 29, 2008

How I Met Your Mother

It’s official, Britney Spears will be back on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER as a guest star, reprising her role of Abby, on the May 12 episode.

“We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again. And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you,” said Craig Thomas, executive producer and co-creator, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

Synopsis of the episode: When Barney and Abby realize that they have one thing in common - their mutual hatred of Ted - the “couple” decides to go to the bar to flaunt their new relationship in Ted’s face. Desperate to get a rise out of his former pal, Barney pops a surprising question to Abby.

You know what, why not?, even though I wasn’t convinced by her first appearance, the character was endearing if you think about it, and anything to get a Barney focused episode is a good reason.

Review: AMERICAN IDOL “Top 5 Finalists Compete”

April 29, 2008

The Top 5 performed tonight on AMERICAN IDOL.

First of all: Wow tonight was just boring as hell!

Second of all: What was up with Paula critiquing round two before it even started, was she even paying attention? It sort of shows that they already have an idea from rehearsal of what they are planning to say about the performances.

Third, let’s find out how everybody did.

1. Jason Castro

Jason Castro

Thoughts: Song #1 - I thought Jason did an ok job.

Song #2 - I just have nothing to say tonight. I guess it was ok, I just think the night was uninteresting.

Rating: Song #1 - 2/4

Song #2 - 2/4
