Procedural Update: CRIMINAL MINDS "A Higher Power" (S3E15) Review

Criminal Minds - The Team

The CRIMINAL MINDS Team is back tracking a serial killer who is acting like an angel of death. So here is our review of this latest BAU adventure "A Higher Power":

The Good
Most of the characters were performing just right. Reid was on fire as usual breaking it down in his usual nerdy way. Garcia was being all mellow with her witty remark. Rossi is coming into his role as Team Leader very nicely

The Bad
The story was a little predictable plus they revealed the bad guy way too early on this one.

The Ugly
The actual bad guy in this episode was not very believable. Don't get me wrong. I usually like Scott Michael Campbell but his character was not a really scary bad guy.

Overall, this was a standard straight to point procedurally acceptable episode of Criminal Minds. I liked it just fine.

What did you guys think?

Stay tuned!

I agree, it was too predictable on who the villian was. Question though for you.. At the end of the show when they are flying back home there is always a quote from some great author. I did not understand the name of the author from the quote. Did you happen to catch it - I know his 1st name was Ben, but the last name I did'nt understand, maybe something like Roark or something similiar. Makes me wish I had DVD/Recorder.
Criminal Minds along with Without a Trace are my 2 fav CBS shows.

    Thanks

I agree with you all about the episode too. Kinda predictable

I am sure Eric must know this already but to answer your question, the name of the author is Ben Okri and the quote was: "The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering."

I really love the quotes they have at the beginning and at the end of the show.

I thought it was a pedestrian episode. Not bad, just not really anything to get thrilled about.

I thought I saw all of the episodes, but I must have missed the one where Hotch got demoted from being the team leader.

Angela, I love the use of the word "pedestrian". Priceless!

I did not mean to say that Hotch was demoted but it is apparent to me that he share the leadership of the team with Rossi the same way he shared it with Gideon .

It's just an opinion. Feel free to disagree.
