Robert Carlyle comes to 24

According to Michael Ausiello, Robert Carlyle has been cast in FOX’s 24 prequel movie as Jack’s mentor, Benton.
The two-hour movie of 24, which was shot in South Africa, will air on November 23 2008 and will serve as a prequel to Day 7.
This is probably one of the most exciting news I have heard in a while. I love Robert Carlyle and talk about perfect casting for 24. The only bad news is that his character is apparently not expected to appear in Season 7, but I really hope they change their minds and keep him around.
