Review: ONE TREE HILL "What Comes After The Blues" (S05E18)

Sophia Bush as Brooke, Chad Michael Murray as Lucas

Well, the night started off nicely for the last episode of ONE TREE HILL, "What Comes After The Blues," with Gavin DeGraw singing the opening song with Jackson Brundage (Jamie). It made me love the song all over again.

And I'd like to first say: "I told you so!" Didn't I say that they would end with Lucas calling someone on the phone and us not finding out who he called?! Man, I'm good, or maybe I've seen this type of ending done so much that nothing surprises me anymore.

Other than that the episode was ok, nothing too exciting. Brooke had to give the baby back, Mouth quit his job after proving he was who they were looking for, and Lucas was still struggling with the same issues.

One thing that I did not see coming right away was Dan getting run over, but the minute he stepped out onto the street, I was like "yeah, he's getting run over" and boom. More than likely Dan will be back, after all, we need an "evil" character on the show, don't we?

And so this is how One Tree Hill leaves us for the summer, but it will be back in Fall on The CW with all the answers to the questions we are dying to have answered.

Read all our One Tree Hill coverage here.

Stay tuned!

My favorite moment, after the Jamie/Lucas/Nathen "your room smells like ass" scene was when they played Boston's "A Man I'll Never Be" - that some has always made me cry and it really did sum up the brothers and Dan and Mouth and just everyone. It was a sweet moment.

mark can you pls bring brucas back in season 6. leyton is so boring and another thing all three girls were waiting on phone calls so brooke was not by herself in that case. brooke was waiting on her call about angie, peyton was waiting on a call from the young lady that she signed to her record label and lindsay was waiting for a call from lucas after she sent him that voice mail message about the dedication for the second book. i really hope that lucas called brooke because those characters are great together and they need each other. deep down inside brucas still is in LOVE!

Thanks Mark for the BRUCAS scenes in season 5, hope to see more in the next season cause Brooke & Lucas is the reason I watch oth. In my opinion they make the show along with Naley.

  4. [...] eliminated one of the girls as a possibility for who Lucas calls to get married in Vegas. Daemon’s TV seems to be able to guess what will happen on the show, that’s a fun talent. Did you miss the finale and need a recap? Let me direct you to The [...]
