LOL what a hoot! I showed this to my Japanese friends , some students and collegues at a bar in Japan and many of them couldn't help but either laugh, get angry or look bewildered! What an ABSOLUTE crock of sh1t! It will NEVER do well in Japan and the above poster who wrote "samurai Valley Girl" had it spot on! The only "Japanese" thing in the whole, sorry tale was the word "samurai" in the title.

I am a huge fan of the books and I've read almost all of them. From what I've seen so far, it is nothing like the books which really disappoints me. If you're going to base something on a book, try to be as close to it as you can! It wasn't as bad as T*Witches though. Please don't let it be a series because then you'll really go away from the books.

Entertaining but predictable and hokey. Should have been called Samurai Valley Girl. I know this is ABC Family, but the story line was extraordinarily off kilter. Amazing how this japanese girl and her family speak perfect English in Japan or how Karen (Kylie) was able to smuggle a hostage all the way to Japan (in a duffle bag, no less - guess the TSA really bungled that one!), or incredibly, the "mirror" was in located in California. Also found the actor who protrayed Heaven's father was completely unbelievable in the role. Anyway, I'm sure the pre-teen set enjoyed it and there will be a series.

I love the show but you left us want more .I hope make series out of this . we need a change on the tv seen this is a show that would do just that.

I thought the ending sucked. You left viewers so far up in the air we got nose bleeds. What a disapointment.......

This show looks great! I just don't understand the whole concept of why a OC California type guy gets to play the part of the Samurai?
