Swingtown is a truly entertaining show. My husband and I enjoy watching each week. So many shows don't get a chance and this is one that deserves that chance.

Swingtown is one of the BEST tv shows in a very, very long time!!! I grew up in the 70's and i enjoy going back to the clothes, music, and the era when things were so much simpilar!!!!
Please do not cancel this show!!!!

  4. Mike Oct 4, 2008 | at 2:53 PM Reply

Here's hoping that Swingtown IS NOT CANCELLED!!!!
The show is very enjoyable, good characters and great music as well. The biggest problem seems to be the show is on CBS, too bad it wasn't on Bravo or another cable station. CBS should know by now, you do not start a new show on one night only to DUMP it to a Friday night time slot, where it suffers because of the programers then decide to pre-empt the program for whatever reason they can find.
The show was better suited to Thursday, where it started.
Hopefully, with a proper time and day, the program will be given a proper opportunity to develope it's audience.

PLEASE bring Swingtown back to Thursday nights!! I looked forward to watching it every week and now there's nothing for me to look forward to watching at all. I don't watch anything else on CBS as I noticed neither do alot of other people. Maybe another network should think about picking it up? I think we all have had enough of those ridiculous reality shows along with all the crime shows.

Swingtown is a great show with solid writing and acting that really captures the 70's era! we watched the show every week and after the first few episodes really looked forward to the next one.CBS gave swingtown a death sentance by moving it to Friday nights in the Summer.Almost seems like maybe they felt some pressure from some conservative groups who like to dictate what is best for everyone.Nothing irritates me more then when a few try to be the censors for the masses.CBS get some backbone and give swingtown a second season in a time slot that gives them a chance to build stronger Neilson numbers.Maybe the producers should peddle their show to FX where they are not afraid to put on quality cutting edge entertainment.

I hope CBS doesn't cancel this show. It is quite entertaining. I'm so sick of so-called reality shows and their inanities. We turn on the TV to be entertained, not irked by stupid antics of alleged real people! They're not!

I thought it was a good show. The actors for the most part are very good and the only character that I didn't like was the girl sleeping with her teacher. The show could have had better ratings if it didn't come on so late and was actually promoted better. I think its a show that has appeal to many different age groups.

My husband and I love Swingtown! We watched every episode. Thank goodness for dvr. The summer was not a good time to premier this show. So many people hardly watch tv in the summer (who has time?) and there are a lot of people that do not have dvr. That is all we need is for a really great entertaining show to be canceled so they can throw yet another reality show in its time slot!!! We all live reality everyday who to watch it on tv constantly? " Swingtown" is a great entertaining show , they need to replay it and give it another chance. I'm sure there will be a whole lot more people enjoying a great show.

I love this show......just give it a chance...you moved the night to Fridays...when no one is home to watch. I recorded it and can't wait to get home and watch no matter how late I get home.

I love the show. I get so excited when I know a new episode is coming. I am always rushing the week away just so I could catch the show.

Finally, a series that I looked forward to seeing every week. Typical that it would be cancelled. Studio 60 was also an excellent show and it got the axe.

This is a great series, and I hope it finds a new network!

I DID SEE MOST OF THE MARATHON ON SWINGTOWN AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE HOW IT ENDED YES WE SHOULD HAVE MORE ADULT CONTENT IN OUR SHOWS AFTER NINE OR FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHTS WHEN KIDS ARE OUT TO THE MOVIES......

I just watched the whole season on BRAVO, it was FANTASTIC!! I was 7 years old in '76 and It really brought me back to that time. The music the wardrobe, it was just great. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL SWINGTOWN. I'm dying to find out what happens with Rodger and Susan.

  21. Christine Oct 31, 2008 | at 7:26 PM Reply

I just watched all of Season 1 on thru Netflix in two days! I absolutely love this show. Please do not cancel it. I had no idea what I was missing this past summer. I love the characters and the story lines. I want to know what happens next, CBS!

  22. barbara Oct 31, 2008 | at 11:29 PM Reply

Swingtown is a blast from the past. The show actually opens doors to other not in the scene. I think they did not give the time for the show to run it course. Finally a show that I rearranged things so that I could enjoy the show. At one point in time I had no idea what day or time it was showing. I solved that problem I would go on the web and watch the show I missed.

Bring it back. It is a shame that we may lose this show but reality shows or cops shows are busting out of the network seams.

    Let get real.....

Give us some enjoyment, let us walk down memory lane.

I didn't have time this summer to watch Swingtown (most people don't have time to start a new show in the summer) but I did DVR it and have just finished watching it. I loved it and I think CBS should give it a chance in the fall when ratings are more realistic.

  24. barby Nov 6, 2008 | at 5:09 PM Reply

Come on bring it back!!!! The show was fabulous. The music was great and the cast was incredible, brings back old memories. Please bring it back... I re-arranged my whole schedule to watch this show.

Finally a great show, no violence, no heavy thinking involved. Just something you can sit back, enjoy and relate to, and there they go..just cancel it.. What idiots..Go ahead give us another version of CSI, or another reality show, just what we need...Sheesh...

I love this show! My husband and I have been patiently waiting for its return! Please don't cancel the show! What is "low ratings" anyway? It always seems the shows us regular-joes watch gets canceled! Come on CBS listen to us!

I love this show you can't cancel it!! I got so into it that i couldn't wait for the following week. If you have to put it on Showtime like another blog said. I dont have Showtime but i would buy it just for that. I love the story line and the strong actors personalities. SWINGTOWN is awsome. Please give it another chance. I was looking so forward to what was going to happen next season cause the story line is so open to anything to happen. BRING IT BACK!! BRING IT BACK!! I am very sick of the REALAlity SHOWs. LAME garbage every week. CBS LISTEN UP ! well i made my point and so think about it!

I'm so sad to hear that it was cancelled. This is a creative, funny, smart show; something that you will not find on network tv. What a disappointment. My husband and I both loved Swingtown.

I would watch this show every day if I could. Fantastic depiction of the seventies, truly capturing the shift in social culture. The writing and acting are superb. If this show isn't brought back it'll be a crime.

I love this show. I hope they reconsider cancelling. I think that CBS just did a lousy job of promoting it. I never even saw a promo for it.

Good to see the last post was only last week. Anything new on the cancellation of this show? I was sort of thinking that when Harper's Island is over, they'd replace it with Swingtown. I did see the young girl on a new show just the other day though and that usually means its over. Its sad to see cast members going in different directions.

I know I'm behind, but I've been waiting this summer and hoping that it would come back-I loved this show and sad to see it is gone.
