Does anyone know the name of the seductive dance that Coco did with her live in boyfriend? I loved this movie. The acting was phenomenal- where have these actors been? And Shirley- well- don't we all watch her JUST to "Watch" her?!

Well, I liked the movie. It's better than I could have written!
And, as for Shirley MacLaine, PLEASE... she is absolutely wonderful in everything she plays. She's always a hateful old lady that expects the world the bow down at her feet, while at the same time just hoping for approval.
One thing though, at the end of the movie when they roll that writing through... it says "until her death at age 69 in 1971". She was born in 1883, right? Am I just reading that wrong? It is in like a #5 font.

Joseph-Alan, you are not kidding, you are telling it like it is about MacLaine.... but we have got to be patient with aging and the elderly and have work for them, keep making room for them in society and keeping places for them to make a contribution. It really is true what they say "The older I get, the younger it sounds.

I enjoyed this movie both as a biography and as a colorful period piece. But Shirley MacLaine is one-dimensional as an expressionless Coco in her later years. She walks through the role like she's hitchhiking and goes in and out of a French accent like a revolving door. Shirley's been basically the same in every role she's played since "Terms of Endearment." and is surprisingly disappointing here...

It is just great to see the history of someone like Coco Chanel. Educational and inspiring at the same time even if it is slightly fictionalized or inaccurate...nice love story. My husband even got into it. Do you know how nice it was not to watch our millionth episode of Law & Order or another lame episode of Saturday Night Live?! Thanks for something historical.

I am watching this movie, but have decided that's it. The acting is atrocious, the dialog weak, and the storyline forced and exaggerated. As usual Lifetime inserts the Harlequin romance theme into the movie. Instead of learning about a powerful, creative fashion icon and business woman, we are bored by a typical Lifetime romance movie. Very disappointing.
