SUPERNATURAL "Are You There God? It's Me Dean Winchester" (Season 4 Episode 2) Early Review
After the mind-blowing season 4 premiere last week, SUPERNATURAL is at the top of my list for shows that I looks forward to every week.
This week is another great episode of Supernatural, "Are You There God? It's Me Dean Winchester," which airs Thursday, September 25, at 9pm on The CW.
But before I talk about the new episode, I want to ask, who saw the Angel coming? Supernatural was really the last show I thought would be bringing us Angels, but now that I think about it, I don't know why I'm surprised, there were demons, why can't there be angels, right?
All of this to say how much I love where Supernatural is going. Which leads me to this week's episode "Are You There God? It's Me Dean Winchester." While we go back to the standard format of Supernatural with Dean, Sam and Bobby dealing with a new case, Dean does get a visit from Castiel again this episode, and he will be revealing some interesting news to our favorite Winchester brother. I can't say much more than that, but once again, you don't want to miss it.
As for what is going on in the paranormal world this week, well Dean, Sam and Bobby will all be getting visits from ghosts of their pasts, literally.
Come on admit it, aren't you glad the Winchester brothers are back on your TV?

Hee, I can't wait. The first episode was beyond awesome and I hear this one's supposed to be better. I can't wait. I'm already excited about tomorrow.
Well, I don't know about better than the first one, but it's really good for sure.
Our favorite Winchester? No way in hell!
Dean isnt my favourite Winchester Brother sorry!!
This episode looks good and last weeks premiere was very good..
What can I say, I have a soft spot for Dean. And of course I didn't mean to say everybody's favorite is Dean, just that Dean is our favorite brother at Daemon's TV. But of course Sam is great as well.
My favorite has always been Dean and I can't wait to see where that bastard Kripke will take us this season!
I loved the episode Lazarus Rising! And like most people I didn't see the angel coming at the end but that was really cool. I love Sam and Dean but my favorite is Sam. But that's because I met Jared Padalecki and he's a really nice guy! I can't wait for tonights episode. I'm excited about seeing where the rest of the season goes. I can't wait. I am sad to hear Eric Kripke wants to cancel Super Natural at the end of season 5 I hope he changes his mind. Especially with season 3 being shortened by the writer's strike. I hope the show continues to surprise us and keeps us on the edge of our seats. But I don't want the boys dead or going to Hell. That wasn't nice Eric to do that to the fans. We missed dean while he was in hell and were glad he's back. It was a long summer!!!!!
I loved last weeks episode Lazarus Rising. The angel was cool and I can't wait to see tonights episode. I want to see Jensen and Jared kiss it would be so hot! For Sam and Dean it could be just a dream to where they are thrown into another world and they would not be related. That way it's not incest. Hell there are enough wincest stories on the internet that there is a huge fan base for this kind of thing. I know a lot of people want to see Sam and Dean together. I just want to see them kiss. Hell let them do CPR on one another. That works for me!!!!! It's just a harmless fantasy of mine. Eric Kripke you sent Dean to Hell why not shock us with a kiss between Sam and Dean. Go where other shows wouldn't dare to go! You'll be remembered! Machelle
Hey Machelle - WTF?
Things I loved about this episode.
Dean’s epic battle to digest proof that God, angels and Lucifer really exist.
That the episode’s name is a play off a Judy Blume novel. Of all the pop culture references Dean and Sam make, I’d never thought they’d reference Judy Blume. Not really the Winchester’s style.
Loved that Bobby had built his own panic room just because he had a “weekend off.â€
I loved that Bobby consulted the Bible for research as he called revelations “for tourists.â€
I was actually afraid for Bobby. I can’t imagine what the boys would do without Bobby around.
My favorite line was when Dean tells Castiel that he thought angels were "like Michael Landon, not dicks."

I actually predicted that an angel was going to pull Dean from hell. The big hint for me was the "House of the Holy" Episode as a foreshadow.
Dean is definitely my favorite brother
. He is one of the most fascinating tv characters there is. I love how Jensen continues to amaze and thill us will his outstanding ackting. It doesn`t hurt that he is eyecandy as well
The opening was a thrilling journey. Loved the second episode too. thank you, kripke for giving Dean his own mytharc, and for bringing Castiel in to the show. Castiel is a superb addition.
Dean is my favorite Winchester but I also very much like Sam as well. These last 2 episodes have been really fasinating in getting to see how they encorperate angels into the show and how Dean is so reluctent in his stance. Jensen has been fantastic and I love the addition of MC as well as Jared has done great work.
Dean's definitely the best! This season's episodes have been the best. They'v ereally upped their game. WTF is with the wanting Sam & Dean to kiss crap?
+i reaLLy admired him...
