Discuss: FRINGE "The Arrival" and the Departure (Season 1 Episode 4)

Fringe - Walter, Peter

What Did You Think of FRINGE's new episode, "The Arrival"?

I am still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened. It seems that every episode of Fringe gets better and better.

I'll start with the end when the bald guy appears in Olivia's house. That was the freakiest thing ever. And by the way, I'm still not sure I understand everything that happened to be honest, which is why my head is probably going to explode right now.

Update: I was made aware that the guy at the end is in fact John and not The Observer like I originally thought (although how cool would that have been right?). It was pretty late when I watched the episode, so I must not have looked at him right. Still pretty cool if you ask me. I can't wait to see more about John next week.

I'd like to mention how I loved that Peter said out loud what we all thought, that they don't really need him around, he's just the babysitter.

Which leads me to my next thought, I am so happy they finally gave Peter something to do. Granted it could have been less painful than being tortured, but it's still something.

And finally, this episode really left me feeling that there is so much we don't know about Peter. Somehow I think he is more involved into all of this than Walter lets on.

What do you guys think? Is Peter the key to understand everything that is going on or is he just a small part?

Stay tuned!

Was that the bald guy in her house, or her (dead) ex-partner?

The bald guy in her house. Her ex-partner wasn't in this episode.

wrong! at the end of the episode, the guy who suddenly appears in her house is John, her ex-partner. This follows on from the weird non-phone call from him at the beginning of the episode.

I just watched the episode online and watched the ending twice...it was definitely her ex-partner. No mistaking it.

The guy made Olivia drop her cereal was definitely John Scott, not The Observer (the bald guy).

Oh wow, ok I need to watch that one again then. I must have not looked at it right, to my defense I was pretty tired when I watched it. Thanks for clearing that up, I made the change in the post.
