I think this season is going to get really good, and already is with anticipation what might come. The guy that gave Deb his CI is obviously into some sort of shit and I think it's safe to say Jimmy Smits character is too. I think both of these guys are going to get way more complex and maybe even be rival killers/killer accomplises for Dexter. Something is probably going to happen to Dexs baby too. I can't see the show with it. Maybe a kidnapping/miscarraige?

This season is taking its time to kick off, but we are (I hope) going to see more of what Dexter does now that the code of Harry is no more. This will see Dexter make more mistakes as his hunger grows stronger and the line between good and evil person becomes thinner

Hmm.. everyone seems to be enjoying the season so far. In my opinion, I can see Dexters relationship with Miguel actually affecting his "night-life" as the monster we know him as. We all know Dexter is a lone wolf and wouldn't even work with his own brother. It would be to hard for the show to simply kill-off Miguel but I wouldn't mind seeing the "bay harbor butcher" resurfacing.

I'm gonna echo some of the previous comments:

I think it's too early to tell, but I actually like what I've seen so far.

One of the things that makes this show awesome is the continual maturation of Dexter as a character. As said above, you can only play off the "I'm a monster, but not really" theme so much.

Dexter has started to accept who he is, the only way to keep the tension going is to throw a new wrench into the machine. The pregnancy is definitively cliche and unoriginal, but I don't hold it against the show.

There IS only so much you can do to reintroduce drama. What really matters is the delivery. After all, Shakespeare did little more than knock off other stories- he just delivered it well.

That being said, we do need an arch nemesis to replace Doakes. The hole is pretty gaping right now.

I think this season is showing us a whole new side of Dexter. I mean, how many other ways can they show he has no emotions and that he has a dark passenger before we all go "Yes yes we know we know!!" so far I love this season. It's freaking intense.I miss Doakes though.. Am I alone here?? Off topic I know, but I like the dynamics, I like the different character plots!!

Gives him good commentary!!

I don't think it's particularly boring, but they are building up the suspense on lots of different platforms and I think they're taking a bit of a cliche turn. I really hope this show doesn't hit the dumps, but so far I'm enjoying season 3. Much better than the beginning of season 2, and the ending of season 2 was fantastic. I'm sure this season will pan out acceptionally. =)

I think it's too early to tell. Plus, this season has a whole new line-up of writers different from those of the previous two seasons. One can only hope that this season will be as exciting as the others. So far I am still a fan.
