Episode Synopsis: "The Book of Abby" - Neela (Parminder Nagra) is disappointed when she finds out Abby’s good news second hand. When a gunshot wound victim comes into the ER, the new chief, Catherine Banfield (Golden Globe winner Angela Bassett) and Abby (Maura Tierney) butt heads on how to treat the patient. Abby comes to Sam’s (Linda Cardellini) defense when she goes before a nurses disciplinary board. John Stamos and Scott Grimes also star.

Hi Linda,
I know that some of what Abby was reading was from the Bible. Her last few lines were from Job 38:15-18. Hope that helps.
The biblical passage that Abby was reading from at the beginning of the show was taken from Job 3:20-26.

Thanks to the Bible scholars for helping identify what Abby was reading tonight. My wife and I stole her colleagues lines from the silently before they had a chance to say "we will miss you Abby".
I'm not sure which is sadder- Dr Pratt's death or Abby's farewell - anybody know if theres a website with the quotes Abby said or has written them down themselves?
