DEXTER “Go Your Own Way” Discussion

November 30, 2008

OK , How cool is Dexter this season? Tonight’s episode was clearly a symptom of an oh-so-sweet illness called awesomness. Two things I want to say about this episode.

First, the cat and mouse game Dexter was playing with Miguel was just ridiculously cool. I have to give this round to Miguel though. Although, Dexter was a solid opponent, the only thing that matters is the final move and Miguel definitely pulled one out of the hat at the end.

Second, I can only see this ending well for Dexter but I don’t know how he’s going to get Miguel while minimizing collateral damage.

All this season will teach Dexter is that he can’t trust anyone, under any circumstance. Sorry, Dex. Life can sometimes throw some bit$% moves as Miguel says.

SCRUBS Season 8 Premiere Date for January 2009 on ABC

November 30, 2008

Scrubs

ABC has finally announced the premiere date for SCRUBS. Season 8 of Scrubs will premiere on January 6, 2009, at 9pm with back to back episodes.

The first two episodes entitlted “My Jerks” and “My Last Words” respectively will guest star Courteney Cox.

I will admit, I am curious to see if changing network will result in a different feel for the show, or if Scrubs will be back as if nothing changed.

Synopsis: “My Jerks” - Dr. Kelso’s beautiful but unethical replacement, Dr. Maddox (played by guest star Courteney Cox), shakes things up at Sacred Heart, while J.D. struggles to manage a new crop of incompetent interns and Carla helps Elliott put her ego in check.

“My Last Words” - J.D. and Turk set aside their decade-long steak night tradition to comfort a dying patient, while Dr. Maddox (guest starring Courteney Cox) begins to show her true colors.

First Look: BRITZ Tonight on BBC America

November 30, 2008

Britz - Riz Ahmed

BRITZ is a must-see BBC America two night event starting with Part One on Sunday, November 30th, at 8pm and Part Two on Monday, December 1st, at 8pm.

The first time I heard about Britz was when I received a copy to watch it. I decided not to read anything about what the story was and to just trust that if BBC America was airing it, there was a very good chance I was going to like it.

And I was right. From the very first frame, we are taken into a world we are rarely exposed to from this point of view. We meet Sohail, a young Muslim Brit, his sister, Nasima, a medical student, and their family. The first part of Britz will show us the story from Sohail’s point of view, and the second part will be from Sohail’s point of view.
