TRUE BLOOD Episode 11 "To Love Is to Bury" Discussion

What Did You Think of TRUE BLOOD "To Love Is to Bury"?
Ask and you shall receive! We finally found out who the killer is and OMFG I did not see that one coming. In fact, I really liked Rene, he was one of my favorite characters. Dammit, that probably means we won't be seeing him in season 2.
And of course, poor Jason finds himself involved one more time with the murder. It's to the point where he himself believes he is the killer. But I can't say that I was sad to see Amy go, that girl was just crazy.
On the other hand, I did really like the girl Bill turned, she was hilarious. Most likely one of the few people who was excited to become a vampire. I wonder if we'll see more of her in season 2, I'd be curious to see her evolve under Eric's wing.
However, I was a little upset by Sookie's reaction. One minute she's so in love with Bill, and the next, just because he takes a little long to get back (sorry but he had a freaking vampire trial to attend to), then she goes and gets together with Sam?! Not smart, Sookie, no smart.
Of course the cliffhanger at the end of tonight's episode was finding out that Rene was the brother of that waitress Sookie saw in her "vision", but of course the fax is going to get lost in the Sheriff's department and will not get to Sookie in time. I know it's a cliche, but I love it!
Only one episode left! November 23 is going to be the most exciting and sad Sunday for True Blood fans, so don't forget to tune in!
But now I want to know, for those who haven't read the book, did you see it coming that Rene was the killer?

I haven't read the books and I DID NOT see Renee as the killer! I was thinking it was probably the weird guy who didn't dance and still wished some "dead people were still around." lol...def a shocker
How bad is it that I did not even recognize Rene in that photo faxed over? I kept thinking...that guy looks familiar but it didn't click. However, when the killer was walking in Jason's house, I suspected it was Rene. Disappointing as he was one of my favorite characters too.
Now, do you think that means he killed Gran as well?
You know it took me a minute to realize it was Rene. But I didn't even think about Gran, that is so sad. I guess he must have killed her too.
I'd actually be disappointed that he killed Gran too. And doesnt it seem the killings were different? Strangling vs bludgeoning? And if he is just killing women that are involved with vampires, why kill Gran? And why stop there? What about Sam for letting them in his bar or a number of people involved, but only somewhat, like even Jason himself?
I read the first book years ago (been a loyal fan since way back! lol I have all the books and waiting for the next book in the series), so I knew it was Renee. What I wasn't expecting was to take to his character so much in the series. A. Ball did a great job casting the actor to play Renee. It's sad when the main reason I consider Mrs. Harris' Dead series my favorite vamp series is because of Sookie- only to see her become my least favorite character on the show. Sookie's loyal, kind and caring. She's very irritating and adoloecent in the show and she makes me want to smack my computer screen. Ah well, at least I remembered why Sam was such an awesome character - well, excluding this episode of course. If it's any consolation, the killer wasn't there to get Gran, but Sookie. She was just unlucky. Very unlucky.
I'm disappointed about Renee being the killer too. The actor that play him is so good! Threw me for a loop! lol
