AMERICAN IDOL Season 8 "3 Finalists Chosen" Review (3/4/09)

The next three finalists have been chosen on AMERICAN IDOL Season 8.

I have to be honest, I really didn't care about who made it tonight. There wasn't really anybody that shined through for me.

And so the third top 3 that made it to the top 12 are:

Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre and Jorge Nuñez

Lil Rounds, Scott Macintyre, Jorge Nunez

No big surprises there. Can I say how this year guys are better than the girls, and apparently America is noticing since so far they have put through 6 guys and only 3 girls. And something tells me if they only went by votes and not by the highest guys and girls, we might not have seen that many ladies on the show.

This season is also so disappointing so far. Apart for Danny and Adam, I don't care about any of the contestants. It's going to make some painful episodes to watch in the coming weeks.

But before I finish, I need to talk about the wildcard show. So who's going to compete tomorrow night?

Von Smith, Jasmine Murray, Ricky Braddy, Megan Corkrey, Tatiana Nicole Del Toro (Lord help us, but at least she has a nice voice), Matt Giraud, Jesse Langseth, and Anoop Desai.

There is only one person that I am excited for in the wildcard and that's Matt Giraud. He was one of my favorite in Hollywood week and I was disappointed when he didn't make it through the first time around. So fingers crossed he makes it this time.

What do you guys think of the next 3 that made it through? Any favorites? How about the wildcard?

Stay tuned!

I am a viewer from the UK and usually your AI is far better than ours, however this season i have been very disapointed. I had three favorites from holywood week, adam, matt giruad and jamar rodgers. Firstly i was amazed Jamar never got through, i loved his round 2 delia take! Its more concerning when they put through nick, danathian (however you spell it)and most of them from the first and last heats we saw on live t.v. Jamar would have easily gone through. Matt picked a bad song to sing and was in a tough group. As for Adam he is the only one left who i want to watch, thou i am hoping i dont get bored of him, worried he will become too predictable. I personaly however disagree with the girl, boy thing, i think the girls are better than the boys, but since they all picked bad songs they couldnt really perform. As for the wildcard, well i personally think they should open it up to people in the top 50 and let the puplic vote for the top 3, then we will see if i am right about Jamar! I dont see why the top 36 guys should be the only ones to get another chance, would love the judges to be proven wrong by one of their "rejected" contestants winning the show. Besides from what i have seen so far, the show needs Jamar, before its rating drop.
