The film stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. With the day almost over, are you good enough to keep up with Sean Astin, Corey Feldman and Josh Brolin? The evening comes to a close with an encore airing of "The Mask" (10:30 PM – 1:00 AM ET/PT), starring Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz.

Night Seven – Sunday, October 25

The day is full of the ghostly, the bizarre and the undead, and starting it off is "Casper Meets Wendy" from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM ET/PT, with the world's friendliest ghost. The eerie fun continues as the search for the infamous pirate, One Eyed Willy, takes some wild and possibly deadly turns in "The Goonies" (12:30 – 3:00 PM ET/PT). The network takes a dark turn down into some of Tim Burton's greatest tales, starting with the story of one boy's chance to get a look behind the candy curtain in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" from 3:00 – 5:30 PM ET/PT, starring Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore. Then true love is doomed in Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride" (5:30 – 7:30 PM ET/PT), when Victor (voiced by Johnny Depp) finds himself mistakenly married to a corpse bride (voiced by Helena Bonham Carter). The creeps continue as a lonely boy with scissors for hands is brought into a suburban home and falls in love with the family's teenage daughter in the ABC Family premiere of "Edward Scissorhands" from 7:30 – 10:00 PM ET/PT, starring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. The evening comes to a close with other-worldly hijinks in "Beetlejuice" (10:00 PM – 12:00 AM ET/PT), as a couple (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) battle a ghoul from beyond (Michael Keaton).

Night Eight – Monday, October 26

The Halloween hilarity continues as "America's Funniest Home Videos" startles viewers with crazy costumes from 10:00 – 11:00 PM ET/PT.

Night Nine – Tuesday, October 27

"Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize" with the airing of "The Haunted Mansion" from 8:00 – 10:00 PM ET/PT. With an eye of newt and pinch of bats teeth the three Sanderson witches terrorize a town in "Hocus Pocus" from 8:00 – 10:00 PM ET/PT. "America's Funniest Home Videos" continues the haunting humor with videos of scary practical jokes and Halloween hijinks (10:00 – 11:00 PM ET/PT).

Night Eleven – Thursday, October 29

The Scooby gang reunites when each member arrives to a mysterious island to investigate strange occurrences in "Scooby-Doo" (8:00 – 10:00 PM ET/PT). Ending the night is a group of unsuspecting prey getting frightened in a musical montage on "America's Funniest Home Videos" from 10:00 – 11:00 PM ET/PT.

Night Twelve – Friday, October 30

The Scooby squad is back at it, this time trying to track down a masked villain who wreaks havoc at the Coolsville Museum of Criminology in "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" (8:00 – 10:00 PM ET/PT). Finish the night off with "America's Funniest Home Videos" from 10:00 – 11:00 PM ET/PT, when a string of magical videos gone wrong is featured.

Night Thirteen – Saturday, October 31

The petrifying thrills come to a frightening end on the most haunted night of the year with a day of crime fighting dogs and a man in a bat suit. [...] So, the 13 days of halloween is coming on ABC Family again Yay Here is a link to an awesome site that has their featured programming list: http://www.daemonstv.com/2009/09/04/abc-familys-11th-annual-13-nights-of-halloween/ [...]

What happened to the 13 Nights of Halloween? The only acceptable movie for Halloween on there is Hocus Pocus! Get rid of all the Americas Funniest Home Videos, no cares and they SUCK!!! The Goonies, Beetlejuice, and The Addams Family aren't that great. The Mask sucked and the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp was terrible, he looks like Michael Jackson. You need movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Little Vampire, and Van Helsing.

Why is the schedule filled with movies that have nothing to do with Halloween? We count on ABC Family to keep up with their 13 Nights of HALLOWEEN! Not movies that may be a little spooky, but Halloween related movies. Aside from Hocus Pocus and maybe Casper Meets Wendy, there is no other movie on there that has Halloween in it. I can't wait for 25 Days of Christmas, what will they show then? Snow Dogs and Eight Below just because they have snow in the movies?

What is up with these listings!!!! Lame.....Where is Charlie Brown and Garfields Halloween shows?? You need to fire whoever picked these shows.

  5. Kate Oct 5, 2009 | at 5:48 PM Reply

The movie choices have nothing really to do with Halloween. What happened to the classics? Such a shame for ABC. Really. They could have and should have done much better. We'll be tuning in elsewhere for our Halloween shows.

  6. islandprincess Oct 6, 2009 | at 6:14 AM Reply

It really doesn't have anything to do with halloween but what about for the older people...I used to LOVE Rocky Horror Picture Show. And tell me please what does Americas funniest home videos have to do with Halloween!! very upsetting line up.

  7. Luke Oct 6, 2009 | at 8:27 AM Reply

Oh stink. Been waiting all year to see nightmare before Christmas- a Halloween favorite- and abc doesn't show it in twwo years! Terrible choice in movies! Nobody likes to see funniest home videos ten times in a row! And I bet they are repeated aren't they! Terrible, terrible job abc... I reprimand you!

  8. Kay37 Oct 6, 2009 | at 9:44 AM Reply

The 13 Nights of Halloween sucks!! Batman?? The Mask?? Funniest Vids?? The Goonies?? Come on!!! that is not the 13 nights of Halloween that i remember. It is a disappointment this year. I am agreeing with Nikki on this.

  9. Sarah Oct 6, 2009 | at 10:54 AM Reply

What is this? This is not the traditional 13 ngihts of Halloween! The 13 nights are going down and fast. AFHV are not a true Halloween show, even if it is Hallowen themed! Nothing is good on this list except Hocus Pocus and maybe The adams family. And repeat movies? nobody is going to want to watch the same movie over and over!! I might not even watch it this year! What is happening to Halloween!?!

  10. chris Oct 9, 2009 | at 8:46 PM Reply

Wow.... What the hell?!?! I agree with everyone. What happened to all the good movies? Whoever came up with this year's movies should be shot.

  11. Piper143 Oct 11, 2009 | at 4:45 AM Reply

There are so many people who every year live for christmas shows and they have an enormous amount of variety why are those of us who live for halloween being passed over...this is very disappointing and I agree with everyone else on this site with the exception of hocus pocus this line up sucks!

  12. Kristin Gaerttner Oct 12, 2009 | at 4:52 PM Reply

Seems that ABC Family has become dominated by Disney. I realize that Disney/ABC can only get licensing to show certain films, bu next year I would love to see the following added to the line up:

"Casper" with Christina Ricci - much better than Casper meets Wendy
"It's the Great Pumkin Charlie Brown"
    "Practical Magic"
    "Monster House"
    "Wizard of Oz"
"Harry Potter" - seems way more appropriate here than for 25 days of xmas
    "Little Vampire"
"Mad Monster Party" - this is a Rankin and Bass which is a MUST for Halloween
    "The Witches"
    "Nightmare Before Christmas"
    "Teenwolf"

  13. we love halloween but..................... Oct 15, 2009 | at 4:05 PM Reply

are you serious? where's the little vampire? where's its the great pumpkin charlie brown? abc family listing is lame! could they not show america's funniest videos during the thirteen days? 13 days of halloween...i want halloween movies...not the same old junk they play all the time!

  17. Mika Oct 18, 2009 | at 10:47 AM Reply

What the hell! Half of these movies have nothing to do with Halloween. You guys freakin suck.

  18. Tina Oct 19, 2009 | at 11:38 AM Reply

I must say i'm disappointed. I am happy they kept my all time favorite hocus pocus. But batman, scooby doo, casper meets wendy? THE MASK? PLEASE! That is horrible. If they were going to that they should play E.T. I am happy about the halloween theme afv. I luv afv. Im a johnny depp fan but those are xmas movies...Man things have changed. Every kid channel got horrible. Like nickelodeon. Remember when they had rugrats, hey dude, camp salute your shorts, what would do, awww real monsters. Clarissa explains it all. Those were the good days.

  19. Missupset Oct 19, 2009 | at 4:24 PM Reply

wtf. Im So Upset these movies on abc family suck. What happend to Nightmare before Christmas or Tim burtons corpse bride? Some of these aren't even scary. I mean Scooby do..? are you kidding me what happend to the old abc family I used to be so happy cause I would be able to see nightmare before christmas now I don't even want to see abc family halloween things anymore they should either make more days or change the movies. Cause it seems like no one is really happy with these shows anyways.

Come on guys!!! My daughter just turned 3 I was so excited for her to watch 13 nights of halloween and it turns out its goin to suck?! Believe me when I say we will only be tuning in october 28! I'm so disappointed oh and by the way who cares about funniest home videos?

  21. Eryn Oct 22, 2009 | at 10:03 AM Reply

So how exactly is this line up awesome or even remotely Halloweenish? Correct me if I am wrong but most of the movies in the line-up are in rotation on ABC family. So what is special about most of them? All I can say is that thankfully that horriable "twitches" crap won't be shown this year.

Why no Harry Potter? I mean, it's not that Halloweenish (I created a word there) but it's better than the Goonies!

Since ABC is PWNED by Disney now, why can't we get better movies?

As a child of the 80's I would love to share my Halloween memories with my kids and to do that I am having to scourer Ebay for low budget copies of old movies and shows that dominated Halloween time 20 years ago. Most of then are owned by Disney - so why can't Disney/ABC show them?

    Suggestions:
    Garfield Halloween
    Great Pumpkin
    Nightmare before Christmas
    Disney's Halloween treat
My mother the witch (not Halloweenish but neither is 80 percent of the 2009 line up)
    The Halloween that almost wasn't
    Witches night out
Raggedy Ann and Andy Halloween special
    Mr. Boogedy

I would like to say that I think the Adams Family and Beetlejuice are somewhat appropriate. It's better than AFV.

You would think that Halloween night the line up would go out with a bang but alas it failed epically (BATMAN???? COME ONE ABC!!)

  22. Anne Oct 22, 2009 | at 4:15 PM Reply

I am so ashamed. Im so glad im in college and barely have a chance to watch TV anyways. The only good movie here is Hocus Pocus. Though Corpse Bride I do find appropriate. Edward Scissorhands is a great movie, just not a halloween one.
Where is Nightmare Before Christmas?! Little Vampire?! Charlie Brown THE GREAT PUMPKIN!!!! If they wanted more..."new movies" do Scary Godmother for children. At least its HALLOWEEN themed!
What the hell does Batman, Scooby Doo, The Mask, The Goonies, and Americas Funniest Home Movies have to do with Halloween!?!?! At least play an old school halloween themed Scooby Doo. Not one of those live action movies. Ugh this bothers me. Everything is going downhill.

  23. cassidy Oct 23, 2009 | at 6:48 AM Reply

this completly sucks, what happened to michael myers??? freddy cruger, freakin scooby doo is not a halloween movie>>> wtf is wrong with abc??? that absolutly suck, i wont be watching them this halloweeen and i have big parties and all my tvs r on that chanel 4 the halloween movies, so much for that ill just rent the classics :) i am reALLY DISSAPPOINTED IN ABC

ABC "Family" has pulled the football out of our way -- no Charlie Brown?
I only watch this network over Halloween and Thanksgiving/Christmas, and There's No CHARLIE BROWN?!??!!!

    Beyond disappointed. Tricked. Boo hoo.
