GOSSIP GIRL "The Grandfather: Part 2" Review Season 3 Episode 8

What did you think of tonight's episode of Gossip Girl "The Grandfather Part II"?
I'm not sure who I am in love with more: Blair or Chuck. What do you think? Blair had the best quote of the night with "I need a friend, STAT". Chuck, on the other hand, rocked a bowtie with a side-part and has the voice of batman. These two are by far the most awesome duo currently on TV.
So even though Blair picked up a new blonde tonight and Serena a new brunette, I think their friendship is going to be okay. I was disappointed to see them fighting so much and Blair was childish for not accepting Serena's apology.
However, Blair did make a good point at the party. This whole time, it's appeared like Blair is the one that hasn't' moved on since high school. However, as Blair pointed out, Serena is still caught up in silly drama and hasn't gone to college. Hopefully now that Serena has quit her job there will be better things in her future. Whose side would you pick between Serena and Blair?
I still think they have changed Chuck's character too drastically in such a short period of time. I mean 2 seasons ago he was trying to date rape Jenny and tonight he is the one giving out the mature friendship advice? It seems a bit far-fetched, but I still love him.
I continue to like Olivia, even despite the whole 'bathroom' boy thing. I thought Dan was sweet at the end with his surprise to Olivia. It would have been crazy if he actually got mad over the interview with Fallon.
Lastly, it appears that there is more to Nate and Trip's wife than meets the eye. It was nice of Nate to take the fall and help Trip win the election. Trip actually seems like a good person.
I was also happy to see that Vanessa got her morals back and did the right thing with her video footage. I wonder what is next for Trip and his wife?
Talk to you next week! XoXo.

I couldn't fault Blair for not accepting Serena's olive branch at the beginning of the episode since Serena didn't accept hers at the end of last week's episode. By the end of this episode they both needed a break. I like that Chuck has grown but I fully expect him to hit a bump in the road soon.
i agree.
Blair and Serena..well,i guess, they do need a break after this week's episode.I was hoping that one day chuck will revert back to his old ways, but seeing him becoming so mature now after all that's happened to him (with him losing blair and his father back then and all), makes me blissful.:D
and i will stay that way before they turn him back as a basshole again. (if they ever will, that is)
Does anyone know who makes the sequined cardigan blair is wearing at the beginning of this episode
there are some things in this episode thta didn't make sence.. f.e. that Olivia was the guest at Fallon's show 2 days in a row
i think Chuck has grown because he has been through a lot. He has finally realized that he is no longer a child and has a woman to fend for. i am personally satisfied with the way his character has unraveled.
