HBO's THE PACIFIC Trailer #2

Check out another new trailer for HBO's ten-hour miniseries, THE PACIFIC, which will premiere in March 2010. It looks pretty damn good.
The Pacific tracks the intertwined odysseys of three U.S. Marines - Robert Leckie (played by James Badge Dale), Eugene Sledge (Joe Mazzello) and John Basilone (Jon Seda) - across the vast canvas of the Pacific. The extraordinary experiences of these men and their fellow Marines take them from the first clash with the Japanese in the haunted jungles of Guadalcanal, through the impenetrable rain forests of Cape Gloucester, across the blasted coral strongholds of Peleliu, up the black sand terraces of Iwo Jima, through the killing fields of Okinawa, to the triumphant, yet uneasy, return home after V-J Day.
The Pacific is based on the books "With the Old Breed," by Eugene Sledge and "Helmet for My Pillow," by Robert Leckie as well as original interviews conducted by the filmmakers.

Synopsis: EXPEDITION WEEK "The First Jesus?" - He was called the King of the Jews, believed to be a Messiah. Just before Passover, the Romans beheaded him and crucified many of his followers outside Jerusalem. But his name was not Jesus ... it was Simon, a self-proclaimed Messiah who died four years before Christ was born. Now, new analysis of a three-foot-tall stone tablet from the first century B.C., being hailed by scholars as a "Dead Sea Scroll on stone," speaks of an early Messiah and his resurrection. Was Simon of Peraea real? Did his life serve as the prototype of a Messiah for Jesus and his followers? And could this tablet shake up the basic premise of Christianity? We'll [...]

DOCTOR WHO: The End of Time Preview & Clip

It's official, we have a premiere date for DOCTOR WHO's final two specials, Doctor Who: The End of Time.
Part One will premiere on Saturday, December 26, 2009 on BBC America, and the premiere date for Part Two should be announced very soon as well.
This will be the last Doctor Who episodes starring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor. He will then be replaced by Matt Smith who will become the Eleventh Doctor in the new season slated to premiere in 2010.
Doctor Who: The End of Time will also bring back a favorite of mine: The Master. I personally can't wait to see John Simm back as The Master. And if the last episode featuring The Master is anything to go by, we should expect this one is going to be epic!
Watch the preview and a clip for Doctor Who: The End of Time, and you can also read the press [...]
