Interview: JEAN-LUC BILODEAU from KYLE XY on ABC Family

February 17, 2008

Jean-Luc Bilodeau

Recently, Daemon’s TV got the chance to take part in an interview with JEAN-LUC BILODEAU who plays Josh Trager on ABC Family’s KYLE XY.

Jean-Luc Bilodeau was such an entertaining person to interview. I remember laughing a few times at some of the things he said. Jean-Luc Bilodeau was very genuine in his answers and he seems unaffected by the fame he has gained since starting on Kyle XY.

During the interview Jean-Luc Bilodeau shared his thoughts about his favorite and least favorite things about working on Kyle XY, what’s in store for Josh and Andy, his latest movie, and his dream role, “a ninja/motorcycle racer/monster-killer guy.”

(Daemon’s TV questions are in blue)

Can you tell us a little bit about how you got the part of Josh, and why you accepted the role, the audition process and stuff like that?

Jean-Luc Bilodeau: It was pretty much like any other audition for anything else. My agent called up, I had an audition, so I went to downtown Vancouver and I did the audition, thought I did well, and within about a couple of weeks I got a call from some Hollywood execs saying that they wanted me to fly out to L.A. to audition for them. I pretty much just got on a plane, went to L.A., did the audition, thought I did well again, so I was pretty excited and flew back home. Then my agent called and said I had the part. So, it was pretty much just like any other TV show or movie audition.

Interview: KIRSTEN PROUT from KYLE XY on ABC Family

February 3, 2008

Kirsten Prout - Kyle XY

Recently, Daemon’s TV got the chance to take part in an interview with KIRSTEN PROUT who plays Amanda Bloom on ABC Family’s KYLE XY.

Kirsten Prout talks about how she started acting, the future for Amanda and Kyle, and what her dream role would be.

(Daemon’s TV questions are in blue)

Daemon’s TV: Now that Amanda is back, how will things evolve between her and Kyle for the rest of this season?

Kirsten Prout: I think viewers should expect to see a definite change in Amanda, because she grew up in New York. I think there were a lot of emotional experiences that happened with her and she’s really become quite defiant. I think, because Amanda is back, viewers are going to see a bit more backbone and she’s going to stand up for herself. She’s stronger.

Interview: CHRIS OLIVERO from KYLE XY on ABC Family

January 27, 2008

Chris Olivero - Kyle XY

Recently, Daemon’s TV got the chance to take part in an interview with CHRIS OLIVERO who plays Declan McDonough on ABC Family’s KYLE XY.

Chris Olivero talks about Declan’s growth in Season 2 of Kyle XY, Declan and Lori’s relationship, some of his favorite parts to play, and the prank he played on Matt Dallas.

(Daemon’s TV questions are in blue)

How will the dynamic change between Declan and Lori now that the secret is out about what Kyle can do?

Chris Olivero: The relationship now, it takes a lot of pressure off of Declan as far as not knowing who he can tell, what he can say, when people want to know the answers about Kyle. Now he can try to protect his friend, but at the same time try to focus on his relationship with Lori and where that should or should not go. Basically, the characters now can focus on themselves a little bit. Protect Kyle, but focus on their relationship, what their future holds together, what their future holds individually. The dynamic is going to be like a friendship, with that same kind of back and forth that we’re used to, with some new elements to it because we’ve already been through so much together. Declan is still into Lori, and it’s the same thing of friends or not friends? That’s going to continue. But definitely a lot of the pressure is gone and now it’s kind of back to the whole family protecting Kyle.

Interview: JAIMIE ALEXANDER from KYLE XY on ABC Family

January 18, 2008

Jaimie Alexander

Recently, Daemon’s TV got the chance to take part in an interview with JAIMIE ALEXANDER who plays Jessi XX on ABC Family’s KYLE XY.

Jaimie Alexander plays Jaimie XX on Kyle XY, who came in at the beginning of season 2 and stirred things up a bit.

Jaimie Alexander talks about her arrival on the show in the second season, her work on “Watch Over Me,” how she prepares (or not) for parts, and what’s in store for Jessi for the rest of the season.

(Daemon’s TV questions are in blue)

Can you talk about how involved you are going to be in the rest of the season? Are you going to be in most of the shows or have a fairly big part going forward?

Jaimie Alexander: Actually, yes. Jessi is, if I can remember correctly, in every episode in season 2.5. She plays a big role and definitely stirs up things a lot more than she did last season. Still while trying to be a good person, but things don’t always go her way.

What is your favorite episode or favorite storyline to film this far?

JA: My favorite storyline is Jessi’s quest to find her mother, her parents, who those people were in the picture. Just her quest to find where she belongs, which is very broad, I guess. My favorite episode so far is 13.

Can you describe the connection between Kyle and Jessi, that mental connection that they have?

JA: The connection between Kyle and Jessi, it’s a lot different than a normal human being to a normal human being. They are pretty much made of the same mold. They’re the only two that understand each other completely and, even still, they have difficulties. They’re pretty much each others’ guardians. I think Kyle would be okay if Jessi wasn’t around in a sense, he could manage. But I don’t think Jessi would be okay without Kyle because she doesn’t have anybody else. To be honest in the episodes that are coming up, their connection is questioned and it is explored heavily throughout the next nine episodes.

Interview: APRIL MATSON from KYLE XY on ABC Family

January 11, 2008

April Matson

Recently, Daemon’s TV got the chance to take part in an interview with April Matson who plays Lori Trager on KYLE XY.

During the interview she revealed a few things that we can expect to see in the second half of Kyle XY’s season, which premieres January 14th at 8pm on ABC Family.

In addition, she talks about her approach to Lori Trager, how she sees her, what’s in store for her in Kyle XY, as well as her own singing career and setting the record straight on some trivia facts about herself.

Daemon’s TV questions are in blue.

My question for you is specifically about the genre of science fiction. I wanted to know your feeling about it and if you had a favorite from your childhood, or if it was “Star Trek” or if it was a certain series on television, or if you were a Battlestar fan. What is it about science fiction that you like? What is it about the show and the genre that you enjoy your work acting, if you can share that?

April Matson: I actually – well, I mean most of my part on the show, I’m not that involved with the whole science fiction part of it, and I didn’t necessarily grow up being a fan of any specific type of thing, but I always loved shows like “X-Files.” I think what I like about our show is it’s not science fiction like there’s not these random monsters and aliens running around. That’s something I’ve never been drawn to, necessarily, but I like that there’s a mystery of a possibility of things that are – I guess that are sort of possible. Like I mean even the way all the mysteries about Kyle, in a weird way you almost could believe that it could be true. So it just kind of – does that make sense? Like rather than there just being a blatant monster that everybody knows doesn’t really exist or like an ET or whatever, it’s kind of like, it’s about this human brain and there’s sort of like a possibility to it in a way that makes sense scientifically that you can buy it. I think that’s kind of an interesting part of the show. As far as other science fiction, I would say “X-Files,” which is kind of what I like about the science fiction part of our show is there’s that kind of element to it. [Read more]

KYLE XY returns January 14th on ABC Family

January 6, 2008

KYLE XY Cast

KYLE XY is finally back January 14th on ABC Family. After months of waiting we will finally find out what happened to Jessi.

The best part about the return is that ABC Family will have a Kyle XY marathon all day before the premiere of the new episode “To C.I.R., With Love,” so clear up your DVR and make sure you have enough room to watch a full day of Kyle XY.

Watch the promo video below to get a look at what’s waiting for us on January 14th. And if that’s not enough, read more of the episode description below. Without spoiling anyone, I will say that something that we have been waiting for to happen (at least I have) will happen.

KYLE XY gets a 3rd Season

October 9, 2007

Kyle XY

Good news KYLE XY fans (which include me of course), ABC Family has ordered a season 3 of the TV show. Ten episode have been ordered. Yes!!! It means another year of Matt Dallas and his blue eyes…

I became a fan of Kyle XY this summer when I rented the first season right before the start of the second season. Let me tell you that it was one the biggest surprises of the summer. I did not expect to like it that much, but now Kyle XY is on my list of TV shows worth watching (I won’t say a must-watch because I don’t think it would appeal to everybody).

Needless to say, this news is pretty exciting.
