"THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER" AND "MAKE IT OR BREAK IT" RETURN ON MONDAY, JANUARY 11 ON ABC FAMILY
Burbank, CA (October 13, 2009) – ABC Family's two original hit dramas, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "Make It or Break It," will return back to back this winter beginning on Monday, January 11th (8:00-9:00PM ET/PT and 9:00-10:00PM ET/PT). "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" returns (8:00-9:00PM ET/PT) to complete its second season with 12 all-new episodes; "Make It or Break It" (9:00PM-10:00PM ET/PT) returns to complete its first season with 10 all-new episodes.
The heartfelt drama "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" focuses on the relationships between families and friends and how they deal with teenage issues, including an unexpected pregnancy. Created and executive-produced by Brenda Hampton, the series stars Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Francia Raisa, Megan Park and Greg Finley.
"Make It or Break It," set in the world of competitive gymnastics, follows a group of teen Olympic hopefuls as they train and prepare for their day in the spotlight. The show stars Chelsea Hobbs, Ayla Kell, Josie Loren, Cassie Scerbo, Zachary Burr Abel, Peri Gilpin, Candace Cameron Bure and Susan Ward. Created and written by Holly Sorensen, the series executive producers are Sorenson and Paul Stupin.

Episode Synopsis: THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER "Be My, Be My Baby" (Season 2 Episode 12) - Grace and Jack hit a roadblock in their relationship, Amy & Ben try to work on theirs and Adrian and Ricky decide to go to counseling. Meanwhile, Anne goes into labor and may not make it to the hospital in time, on the mid-season finale of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” Monday, September 7, (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT). The network will air a special “Secret Life” marathon (nine episodes) leading up to the premiere, Monday, September 7, from 11:00 AM ET/PT – 8:00 PM ET/PT.
In the mid-season finale, “Be My, Be My Baby,” relationships are put to the test when Grace and Jack make some difficult decisions about their relationship, Amy and Ben try to improve theirs, Adrian and Ricky decide to pursue counseling and it’s revealed that Grace’s mom, Kathleen, is dating a younger man. Meanwhile, as George and Ashley pack their bags to move back into the Juergens’ home, Anne goes into labor and may not make it to the hospital in time!
The series cast includes Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Francia Raisa, Megan Park and Greg Finley. Episode Synopsis: THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER Season Finale "And Unto Us, A Child is Born" - In "And Unto Us, A Child is Born," friends and family are all gathered at the hospital eagerly awaiting the arrival of Amy's baby. Ben and Ricky discuss their future relationship -- Ricky as the father and Ben as the future stepfather to the baby -- they agree to forge a friendship. Adrian shows up to support Ricky, while Grace tells Ricky that she's getting back together with Jack. After hours of labor the baby is finally born, and a deliriously tired Amy and Ashley decide to name him together.
Once at home, Amy has a tough time transitioning to being a new mom. Ricky visits his newborn son and realizes he might enjoy fatherhood. Meanwhile, Ashley and George surprise Anne by packing up a moving truck and moving out of the family home. The second season of the hit series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" will air on ABC Family with all new episodes this summer.
The series cast includes Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Francia Raisa, Megan Park, Greg Finley and Jorge-Luis Pallo.
