MAD MEN Season 2 Pictures and Videos

July 19, 2008

Mad Men - Jon Hamm as Don Draper

AMC’s critically acclaimed original series, MAD MEN, returns for its second season on July 27, and it could not be soon enough. I remember watching the first episode last summer and being blown away by the quality of the stories, and talk about great acting (why hadn’t I heard of Jon Hamm before that? The man is brilliant). And now it’s back!

AMC might not have many series, but they know how to pick them, that’s for sure.

Don’t forget to watch Mad Men Season 2 premiere on Sunday, July 27, at 10pm on AMC.

For now check out a promo and more pretty gallery pictures from Season 2 of Mad Men below.

BREAKING BAD on AMC - The new MAD MEN?

January 17, 2008

BREAKING BAD - Bryan Cranston as Walter White

One of the new TV shows I am really looking forward to this month is AMC’s original series BREAKING BAD. After bringing us the amazing Mad Men, it looks like Breaking Bad is going to be another winner. Even better, Bryan Cranston (Malcolm in the Middle) plays the main character Walter White. He is such an amazing actor, it’s pretty much guaranteed he’s going to take us on a wild ride.

AMC has released the first few minutes of the episode (which I posted here) and all I can say is wow, this looks awesome! Seriously, AMC is like the new HBO.

Breaking Bad premieres January 20, 2008 at 10 pm on AMC.

On Tonight, Thursday 10/18: THE OFFICE, UGLY BETTY, and more…

October 18, 2007

Daemon's TV Thursdays TV Schedule Fall 2007

Daemon's Choice

Smallville

SMALLVILLE “Cure” - 8pm the CW
I am finally up to date with Smallville and am liking it so far. I am so glad Lana is back and I really am looking forward to more interactions between her and Clark, I mean come on, it’s been long enough, plus she knows about his power now. Even though I know I shouldn’t, I still like Lex Luthor and I can’t wait to see more of him this season. I wonder if he’ll eventually go back to his “evil” side.

My Name Is Earl

MY NAME IS EARL “Creative Writing” - 8pm NBC
I really liked Michael Rapaport’s guest appearance last week on My Name Is Earl. I have liked him as an actor for a while (I even remember the movie noticed him in, it was Rescuers: Stories of Courage: Two Families, he was great in it) and it’s fun to see him in a TV show I watch. Tonight we get Darnell’s new song/ music video “Respect the meat”, check out the video here. Also don’t forget to check out our first look at Alyssa Milano’s guest star appearance in My Name Is Earl on October 25th.

Ugly Betty

UGLY BETTY “Grin and Bear It” - 8pm ABC
I have one word for you: James Van Der Beek… ok that’s four words. Dawson from Dawson’s Creek… I just had a flashbacks to my childhood. How exciting is this? Last week was so great with the first appearance of Freddy Rodriguez, but now with James Van Der Beek, there is no reason not to tune in and watch Ugly Betty.

The Office

THE OFFICE “Money” - 9pm NBC
The last one-hour episode of The Office airs tonight :-( How sad is that? Next week we’ll only get 30 minutes of Office love.
Don’t forget that The Office convention is almost here. You can get more The Office Convention information here.

Grey's Anatomy

GREY’S ANATOMY “The Heart of the Matter” - 9pm ABC
After George’s revelation to Callie last week, I can only imaging the repercussions this is going to have at Seattle Grace.

Viva Laughlin

VIVA LAUGHLIN “Pilot” - 10pm CBS
Another new show starts tonight. Will this ever stop? Ok, I am actually curious about Viva Laughlin and will definitely tune in tonight. I mean, all they had to tell me was that it’s a musical TV show. I just hope it’s a good musical. Plus Hugh Jackman is in the pilot, so it’s worth tuning in just to watch him. I should also mention that tonight is not Viva Laughlin’s regular time slot. It will actually be airing on Sunday nights at 8pm from now on, how confusing is that?
Plot: A mystery drama with music about eternal optimist and freewheeling businessman Ripley Holden, whose sole ambition is to run a casino in Laughlin, Nev. Occasionally using upbeat contemporary songs to accentuate the drama and humor and advance the story, the series is based on the hit BBC show “Viva Blackpool.” Ripley is the ultimate gambler with an infectious personality who is on the brink of making a killing… just as soon as he opens his casino that’s nowhere near completion. When his financing suddenly falls through, the fearless and tenacious Ripley approaches his enemy - dashing, sarcastic, wealthy casino owner Nicky Fontana, and his lieutenant Marcus, for help.

Mad Men

MAD MEN “The Wheel” - 10pm AMC
I finally had time to watch two episodes of Mad Men yesterday and am only one episode behind at the moment. I still like it so much. AMC, you brought us an amazing show, thank you.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA “Mac Is A Serial Killer” - 10pm FX
These guys are just so wrong, it’s hard not to love them. I have a funny story about it actually, Eric (who does the podcast with me if you have been listening) really likes Charlie and he does a pretty funny imitation of his squeaky voice. Ok maybe it’s not funny unless you hear it… or maybe it’s just not funny at all, sorry Eric (maybe I can try to get him to do it on our next podcast…yeah that’s so not happening…). Either way, it’s a fun TV show.

Daemon's TV Thursdays TV Schedule Fall 2007

Daemon's Choice

Smallville

SMALLVILLE “Fierce” - 8pm the CW
Wow, it’s Thursday already?! I haven’t even seen last week’s Smallville yet, and it’s one of my favorite TV shows, so that’s saying something. Dammit I just realized I haven’t even really seen Supergirl yet. Tomorrow for sure it’s going to be Smallville day.

My Name Is Earl

MY NAME IS EARL “The Frank Factor” - 8pm NBC
I should be ashamed… I haven’t seen last week’s episode of My Name Is Earl yet. Hopefully I can catch up before next week. I need my weekly dose of Joy, seriously, I miss her…

Ugly Betty

UGLY BETTY “Betty’s Wait Problem” - 8pm ABC
Finally a TV show I am up to date with, Ugly Betty. I am still a fan and so far it has not disappointed me. Betty is still Betty and I just enjoy watching her every week.

The Office

THE OFFICE “Launch Party” - 9pm NBC
The best comedy on TV is back tonight with another hour long episode. And now that we know Joss Whedon is directing another episode this season, that’s one more reason to tune in. But who needs a reason to watch The Office anyway?

Grey's Anatomy

GREY’S ANATOMY “Let The Truth Sting” - 9pm ABC
So far I am liking this season of Grey’s Anatomy. I still wish the whole Izzie and George thing would happen already (even though I know it’s not going to happen). Why can’t he just tell Callie it’s over?! I want to say also that I am losing sympathy for Meredith, right now I am not a big fan. I hope she can win me over again.

ER

ER “Officer Down” - 10pm NBC
So I’m thinking of giving up ER this season. I cannot believe I am saying this because I thought I would end up watching it until the end, but last week was really boring to me and with everything else on, the thought occurred to me that I should drop it. Especially since now there is no more Ray, and Luka is sort of MIA, I really lost my main interest in the show.

Mad Men

MAD MEN “Nixon vs. Kennedy” - 10pm AMC
Surprise, surprise, I am about two episodes behind on watching Mad Men. I am still committed to finish the season. I still really like it and it’s a nice break from the main network’s TV shows.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA “Sweet Dee’s Dating A Retarded Person” & “Hundred Dollar Baby” - 10pm & 10:30pm FX
My new favorite TV show…ok maybe not my favorite but it has a special place in my heart. Every week, the writers come up with the most outrageous storylines, it’s great.

October 4, 2007

Daemon's TV Thursdays TV Schedule Fall 2007

Daemon's Choice

Smallville

SMALLVILLE “Kara” - 8pm the CW
Tonight we finally meet Kara a.k.a Supergirl. That girl will have to work it because I am very protective of Smallville and take some time to warm up to newcomers. Look at some pictures from the episode here.

My Name Is Earl

MY NAME IS EARL “The Gangs of Camden County” - 8pm NBC
I am so ashamed because I haven’t even watched last week’s episode yet. This is bad, I can’t keep up anymore and this is a show I really enjoy watching. Homework: Watch both episode of My Name Is Earl for next week.

Ugly Betty

UGLY BETTY “Family/Affair” - 8pm ABC
After getting such a sad episode last week I need some laughs this week. Plus Henry is back so that’s exciting. Oh and I have to mention this because I recently watched the two seasons of Extras, I look at Christina (Ashley Jensen) in a whole new way now. If you haven’t seen Extras, watch it and you’ll know what I mean. I love that character by the way.

30 Rock

30 ROCK “SeinfeldVision” - 8pm NBC
I felt obligated to mention this show as one of our choices because it has been getting so many good reviews and my friends swear by it. I personally never really watched 30 Rock (I know, shame on me) but I’m thinking of giving it a shot when things come down a bit, because right now that’s pretty much impossible.

The Office

THE OFFICE “Dunder-Mifflin Infinity” - 9pm NBC
Dear Office, why must you only come on TV once a week? Why can’t everyday be Office day? After a great premiere last week, we get another hour long episode this week. I think this one-hour thing should become a regular thing. I mean after the one-hour episode I still want more, what am I going to do when it goes back to the 30 minutes format?

Grey's Anatomy

GREY’S ANATOMY “Love/Addition” - 9pm ABC
Yes, George finally confessed his love for Izzie, unfortunately it might not turn out the way I was hoping for. I hope this episode doesn’t leave me crying, I really can’t take it anymore.

Supernatural

SUPERNATURAL “The Magnificent Seven” - 9pm the CW
Supernatural is back tonight. I would be excited but since I’m still catching up on season one, at this point I’m just trying to stay away from spoilers. Check out some picture from the season premiere here.

Law & Order: CI

LAW & ORDER: CI “Amends” - 10pm USA
The truth is I never watched any Law & Order show on a regular basis, but I do enjoy the occasional episode. I decided to mention the premiere of Law & Order: CI because 1) it’s starting on a new network, USA, that has shows I love 2) I have been a fan of Vincent D’Onofrio for a while (ever since I saw him in this interesting film called “Guy”).

ER

ER “In A Different Life” - 10pm NBC
I know lots of people are wondering if people are still watching this show, turns out I am. It’s not on my top list, but I do enjoy some of the storylines and some of the characters.

Mad Men

MAD MEN “Indian Summer” - 10pm AMC
I just caught up on the show today and I still adore it. It’s just so smart, well-written, and well-acted. Just for the record though, I would probably have killed myself if I was living then as a woman. The saddest thing is that one of my friends made me realize things haven’t really changed that much in offices…

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA “The Gang Sells The Bar” & “Frank Sets Sweet Dee On Fire” - 10pm & 10:30pm FX
I had never gotten that interested in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia for the first two seasons, but after watching the first few episodes of season 3, the show is now officially on my schedule. I think the thing that sealed the deal for me is this guy.

On Tonight, Thursday 9/27: THE OFFICE, SMALLVILLE, and SO MUCH MORE…

September 27, 2007

Holy crap! Tonight is as bad as Thursdays, so much to watch. My DVRs are about to burst!

Daemon's Choice

Smallville

SMALLVILLE “Bizarro” - 8pm the CW
Oh Yes! My sweetheart Smallville is back tonight. Finally, we will find out what happened to Lana and Chloe. This new season also brings Supergirl, who hopefully will teach Clark to fly, it’s about time. Maybe it’s because I’m tired that I don’t have much to say, but trust me this is one of the premieres I am the most excited about.

My Name Is Earl

MY NAME IS EARL “My Name Is Inmate 28301-16 Part 1 & 2″ - 8pm NBC
Poor Earl will be in prison for part of the new season. If you haven’t already, look at the “Free Earl” music video Earl’s friends put together. I have nothing but love for My Name Is Earl, it’s one of my favorite sitcoms along with The Office and How I Met Your Mother. I cannot wait to see what new tricks the writers will have for us this season. In addition, tonight’s episode will be one hour long, set your DVRs accordingly.

Ugly Betty

UGLY BETTY “How Betty Got Her Grieve Back” - 8pm ABC
Ugly Betty’s first season finale was one of the best. I remember having tears in my eyes (read my review of the finale here), and I am still not over Santos getting shot, I liked his character so much. If you can’t wait for the premiere, take a look at these two clips from the season premiere here.

The Office

THE OFFICE “Fun Run” - 9pm NBC
I am so happy I could cry…seriously I have tears in my eyes. Please tell me the long wait will pay off and we will get to see some Jim/Pam action tonight. And if having The Office back wasn’t enough, tonight’s episode will be one hour long instead of the regular half hour. More of The Office is always good. Only a few hours to wait…before the “fight” between Michael and Ryan the temp starts.

Grey's Anatomy

GREY’S ANATOMY “A Change Is Gonna Come” - 9pm ABC
Seattle Grace is back in business and welcoming new interns. Look at a few clips from the season premiere if you can’t wait for tonight’s episode. I think that because of the overload of shows, I am not as excited as I could be for the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad it’s back, but I can’t think straight anymore, there are too many shows.

Big Shots

BIG SHOTS “Dead Doll” - 10pm ABC
ABC’s new show premieres tonight. From what I have seen from Big Shots, I am not expecting to like it. I will give it a shot, because you never know until you actually watch the show, but still, I’m not expecting it to last. Too bad because it would have been nice to have Michael Vartan on TV again. But who knows, this might be another surprise, like Dirty Sexy Money (more about that later). Read my preview for Big Shots here.
Story: This is the story of four friends at the top of their game… until the women in their lives enter the room. Lines between boardroom and bedroom blur when these competitive but dysfunctional CEOs take refuge in their friendship, discussing business, confiding secrets, seeking advice and supporting each other through life’s surprising twists and turns.

ER

ER “The War Comes Home” - 10pm NBC
The reaction I get when I talk about this show is usually, “is this still on?” and I guess it’s a legitimate question. Either way, I still enjoy ER. It is by no means a favorite and I usually watch it last, but I do like it, at least enough to keep it on my schedule.

Mad Men

MAD MEN “Long Weekend” - 10pm AMC
One of my summer favorites continues its wonderful season. It will have to fight off some serious competition tonight. Good thing people have already been following the show for a while. I will keep watching for sure.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA “The Aluminum Monster vs. Fatty McGoo” & “The Gang Solves The North Korea Situation” - 10pm & 10:30pm FX
We all know about my love for last week’s episode (if you don’t, read it here) and tonight we get two new episodes. I just realized this Thursday feels like Christmas and the gifts keep on coming and coming. I am so ready for more outrageous stories from Dennis, Mac, Charlie, Dee, and Frank.

THE REST

CSI “Dead Doll” - 9pm CBS
Season Premiere tonight. I think I have explained why I don’t watch CSI anymore enough times, so I’ll stop repeating myself. Point is, I don’t watch it anymore. I did hear about one spoiler from the show from Watch With Kristin (stop reading here if you don’t want to find out) - It looks like Jorja Fox, who plays Sara, will not be back this season or at least for a few episodes. Could this mean her character was killed off in the season finale?

WITHOUT A TRACE “Lost Boy” - 10pm CBS
This show premieres tonight as well but I have never watched it. It does sound a lot like CSI, and the likes though.
