The Ben 10: Alien Swarm tour will kick off in London, England where cast members Ryan Kelley, Galadriel Stineman, Nathan Keyes and Alyssa Diaz will present Ben's 10 Awards to 10 lucky kids. Bandai America Incorporated, the official toy licensee for Ben 10, will serve as the exclusive sponsor of the U.S. premiere in Los Angeles, California. These events around the world, combined with a comprehensive marketing campaign promise to make this the most extensive global launch in Cartoon Network history.

Ben 10: Alien Swarm is directed and executive-produced by Alex Winter, who also directed Cartoon Network's first Ben 10 live-action movie, Ben 10: Race Against Time, which scored over 13 million viewers during its Thanksgiving weekend premiere in 2007. The new movie follows Ben as he breaks ranks from the Plumbers (a secret organization that battles alien forces) to help Elena, a mysterious young woman from his past, uncover an alien threat to our world.

Network Pays Homage to the Melodic Side of The Flintstones with a Musical Marathon, Sunday, Oct. 25

On Sunday, Oct. 25, these classic animated musical moments will return for a command performance as Boomerang presents a day-long marathon of the best of The Flintstones musical episodes: BEDROCK 'N' ROLL.
"While not specifically a musical series, The Flintstones presented some of the catchiest TV tunes of the day," said Stacy Isenhower, senior vice president of programming and scheduling for Boomerang and Cartoon Network. "So while fans of all ages can enjoy the family animated entertainment, this musical marathon also will illustrate the high level of tuneful creativity and talent that went into the making of these timeless classics."

The Flintstones premiered nationwide Sept. 30, 1960 and immediately earned a place in television history as the first animated situation comedy and the first cartoon series to be shown in prime time. Music has always been an integral part of The Flintstones as more than a dozen episodes showcased a variety of production numbers featuring original songs. The show made television history when, in 1961, Hoagy Carmichael was welcomed as the first guest star on an animated series. This landmark event began a trend that carried through to other Hanna-Barbera series hosting animated celebrity guests, such as Scooby-Doo and The Jetsons.

Once again showing the depth and breadth of its incredible classic cartoon library, Boomerang presents a rollicking good time with a commercial-free marathon of 15 jamming episodes guaranteed to get your toes tapping. The seven-and-a-half hour rock block will be followed by an encore presentation so that music aficionados coast-to-coast can join in the fun. Highlights in the "Bedrock 'N' Roll" Marathon include:

"The Hit Song Writers," 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (ET): When Fred discovers that Barney is a compulsive poet, he seeks songwriting assistance from famed composer Hoagy Carmichael.

"Ann Margrock Presents," 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. (ET): While working on the new Bedrock Bowl, Fred and Barney prepare an act for the dedication ceremony starring Ann-Margrock.

"Surfin' Fred," 1:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. (ET): Fred's quiet seaside weekend is interrupted by a national surfing contest. Fred gets caught up in the activities and must be saved by surf idol Jimmy Darrock.

"Shinrock-A-Go-Go," 3 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. (ET): Fred and Barney check out the new TV show, "Shinrock," hosted by Jimmy O'Neilstone. When Fred drops a bowling ball on his foot, Jimmy takes it as a new dance and names it "The Frantic."

Boomerang is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s (TBS, Inc.) 24-hour cable/satellite network offering the best in classic animated entertainment. In partnership with Cartoon Network, the service boasts 75 percent unduplicated programming and is available to cable/satellite operators and their customers in Spanish. Romance, Duty and Deadly Intrigue Collide in an All-New Episode of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS!
Tasked by the Jedi Council to rekindle an old flame in order to solicit crucial – and dangerous – information from a suspected traitor, Senator Padmé Amidala finds herself torn between love and duty in "Senate Spy," an all-new episode of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, airing at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT Friday, October 16 on Cartoon Network.

Against Anakin's vehement wishes, Padmé is recruited to investigate a fellow Senator – and former love interest – suspected of conspiring with the nefarious Banking Clan.

A conflict as divisive as the Clone Wars has a way of turning hearts and minds, and she finds that even old friends may have new agendas. Meanwhile, Anakin must watch powerlessly from the shadows as his lady love willingly and deliberately courts the affections of another man….

While a relationship forged in the heat of war may be a crucible of heightened emotions, according to Catherine Taber – voice of Padmé Amidala – it is this fiery dynamic between two strong personalities that fuels the series' heart and keeps THE CLONE WARS interesting.

"I think the relationship is just fun to watch," says Taber. "We try to incorporate some of the things that are inherent to all deep love relationships – like jealousy and the little struggles for power, as well as those inside jokes that can only really exist between two people who know and trust one another. I want people to feel that when Anakin is in the mix, it is the only time when Padmé loses focus. In fact, I think it makes her uncomfortable, and she feels she has to prove – to herself – that her top priority is the Republic. I personally believe that, underneath it all, her primary allegiance would be to Anakin – but I don't think she'd ever admit it."

A departure from the epic battles and fierce fighting which has become a hallmark of THE CLONE WARS, "Senate Spy" explores an altogether different side of the conflict, focusing instead on the delicate political machinations as they play out behind the scenes of the swashbuckling space opera.

"Dave [Filoni] and the team have said from the beginning that they wanted to show the Star Wars Saga from different perspectives, and this episode is a great example of that," says Taber. "I love the epic battles, of course, but here we have a chance to follow the mystery, the politics and the intrigue. These slow-burn political ‘battles' are really driving the whole war effort. Dave actually had me watch [Alfred Hitchcock's] Notorious before we started working on ‘Senate Spy.' He wanted me to see the way the pressure builds – especially when love is involved. It's a very different kind of danger than what we've seen in THE CLONE WARS. I really love that about the series; we are trying to give the Star Wars audience – old and new – something special."

[Press Release - Released by Cartoon Network]
Just in Time for Halloween, Courage the Cowardly Dog Joins Boomerang's Nightly Lineup
With a personality as contradictory as his name, Courage is a small dog with a big paranoia problem. Courage the Cowardly Dog, a half-hour animated series first appearing on Cartoon Network in 1999, chronicles the life of this timid pooch as he defends his owners, an old couple living on a farm outside the small town of Nowhere, from paranormal elements that threaten their simple existence.

Time and time again, Courage must exhibit enough fearless ingenuity to rescue his oblivious caretakers Eustace and Muriel, who are none the wiser to the menace of such bizarre creatures as the savage Weremole, the sinister Katz, the devious French duck Le Quack or the misunderstood Bigfoot.

Coming to the commercial-free Boomerang network on Monday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. (ET), Courage the Cowardly Dog is the latest Cartoon Network original series classic to join the primetime lineup. The series will air nightly Monday through Saturday, and will provide a special Halloween treat in the form of a four-hour mini-marathon on Oct. 31 from 7-11 p.m. (ET).

"Courage the Cowardly Dog is a perfect fall addition for Boomerang," said Stacy Isenhower, senior vice president of programming and scheduling for Boomerang and Cartoon Network. "It adds to our current roster of a new generation of classics, with a spooky twist just in time for Halloween."

The series will air from its very beginning, with the first week of episodes including:

Monday, Oct. 19: "A Night at Katz Motel" - Courage, Muriel and Eustace check into a motel run by a sinister cat named Katz. A very long night is in store for the three, especially after Katz turns loose his spiders. "Cajun Granny Stew" - A crafty fox cooks up a delicious Cajun Granny Stew to enter in a cooking contest, but he's missing one key ingredient: the Granny. Enter Muriel. Courage must save her from ending up in the stew.

Tuesday, Oct. 20: "Shadow of Courage" - When an evil, wealthy old man suffers a heart attack, a shadow escapes from him and descends on the farm, terrorizing our happy threesome. "Le Quack" - Muriel is struck on the head by a flying piece of the farmhouse roof and comes down with amnesia. Courage summons help, which arrives in the form of a French con-artist duck posing as a doctor.

Wednesday, Oct. 21: "Courage Meets Bigfoot" - A hungry Bigfoot turns up at the farm. Courage is terrified at first, but he eventually befriends the gentle monster. Later he must save the creature from Eustace and an angry mob. "Hothead" - Eustace goes to an institute that promises hair growth, dragging Courage along with him. The consequences that follow are hair-raising, indeed.

Thursday, Oct. 22: "The Demon in the Mattress" - Muriel needs a new mattress. The one she orders comes with a bonus: a demon that takes over her body. Courage must find a way to get rid of the demon and the new mattress. "Freaky Fred" - Muriel's nephew, a deranged barber named Fred, visits the farm. Much to Courage's dismay, he winds up locked in a bathroom with him.

Friday, Oct. 23: "Night of the Weremole" - While gardening, Muriel is bitten by what she thinks is a rabbit. By the time she returns to the house transformed into a weremole, it's clear her attacker was no rabbit. Courage must find the antidote. "Mother's Day" - Eustace goes to visit his mother on Mother's Day and takes a very reluctant Courage along with him.

[Press Release - Released by Cartoon Network]

Labor Day Weekend Marathons to Feature Original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? and The New Scooby-Doo Movies

When Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? premiered on broadcast television (CBS) Saturday morning, Sept. 13, 1969, television audiences took their first journey on what would become literally hundreds of mystery-solving comedy capers featuring a teenage gang of amateur detectives and their cowardly, yet beloved great Dane. Today, having recruited generations of fans young and old across the globe, Scooby-Doo will celebrate his milestone 40th birthday over Labor Day Weekend on the commercial-free Boomerang network with two seven-hour marathons, 2-9 p.m. (ET), Saturday, Sept. 5 and Sunday, Sept. 6.

To commemorate the special event, Scooby and the gang—Freddy, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy—on Saturday will solve 17 classic supernatural mysteries, including their very first from the original premiere episode, "What a Night for a Knight." Then on Sunday, Boomerang will devote another seven-hour marathon, 2-9 p.m., to showcase The New Scooby-Doo Movies, the second series in the Scooby-Doo canon and the only series to feature hour-long episodes. The hallmark of this series is its animated celebrity guests, and during the special presentation, Scooby and the gang meet the casts of other great Hanna-Barbera cartoons such as Josie and the Pussycats and the Harlem Globetrotters.

"Scooby-Doo is a timeless character whose humor, chronic cowardice and insatiable appetite appeal to the 'kid' inside all of us," said Stacy Isenhower, senior vice president of programming and scheduling for Boomerang and Cartoon Network. "These marathons are excellent family viewing, providing nostalgia for adults while still funny and fresh for young ones today."

Highlights of the marathon include:

Sept. 5, 4:30 p.m. (ET): "What a Night for a Knight" – Scooby-Doo and Shaggy stumble upon the abandoned car of a noted archaeologist who is missing. The only clue is a mysterious suit of black armor sitting in the driver's seat.

Sept. 5, 8:40 p.m. (ET): "Haunted House Hang-Up" - On their way to a rock music festival, the adventurous youngsters of Mystery, Inc., find themselves stranded in front of a haunted Southern mansion when the Mystery Machine overheats.

Sept. 6, 2 p.m. (ET): "The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair" - The gang is joined by Batman and Robin, the Dynamic Duo, in pursuit of counterfeiters in the form of the Joker and the Penguin.

Sept. 6, 7:15 p.m. (ET): "The Weird Winds of Winona" – On their way to an auto rally where Speed Buggy will be performing, the gang stops over in Winona where nightly winds seem to haunt the small town.

[Press Release - Released by Cartoon Network]
Cartoon Network announced greenlights for two new original comedy animated series, Regular Show and Horrorbots, in addition to a picking up more episodes of The Marvelous MisAdventures of Flapjack and additional writing for Adventure Time.
Regular Show is created by J. G. Quintel and was developed as a short for Cartoon Network's Cartoonstitute. Two bored groundskeepers, Mordecai (a six-foot-tall blue jay) and Rigby (a hyperactive raccoon) are best friends who spend their days trying to entertain themselves by any means necessary, much to the displeasure of Benson (their boss, who is a gumball machine) and to the delight of Pops (an older, lollipop-headed gentleman). Their everyday pursuits often lead to things spiraling out of control and into the surreal: they open portals to other dimensions, summon demons via an '80s arcade game and accidentally use choreographed dance moves to send co-workers to the moon.

All in a typical day's work on Regular Show. J.G. Quintel served as creative director of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack for two seasons and was a storyboard artist on the Emmy-winning animated series Camp Lazlo. Regular Show will be produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, CA.

Horrorbots tells the story of Thrasher and Blastus, two outsider teenage droids who are only slightly less horrific than the ultra-powerful robots that populate their planet, Killglobe. Now they face their greatest challenge yet: high school. Armed with a desire to fit in (and little else), Thrasher and Blastus navigate their lives with varying degrees of success. Created by Michael Buckley (The Sisters Grimm) and Joe Deasy and co-executive produced by Christy Karacas (Superjail), Horrorbots will be produced in New York.

Cartoon Network Studios will also be producing additional episodes of The Marvelous MisAdventures of Flapjack, bringing the total number of half-hour episodes produced to 46. Created by Thurop Van Orman, the comedy series centers on an impressionable young boy, Flapjack, and his two advice-giving best friends: a crusty old pirate called Captain K'nuckles and a wise-talking blue whale, Bubbie, whose mouth they call "home, sweet home." Armed with an overwhelming desire to be known as a true "adventurer," Flapjack will do anything—and this means anything!—in his quest to reach a fabled floating island, no matter the number of insurmountable obstacles or overwhelming dangers he might face. The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack is produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, CA.

An additional season of scripts has also been commissioned for Adventure Time, an animated comedy about Finn, the human boy with the awesome hat, and Jake, the wise dog, who are close friends and partners in strange adventures in the land of Ooo. The 30-minute series, from Cartoon Network Studios, is created by Pendleton Ward, executive-produced by Fred Siebert and Derek Drymon and scheduled for a 2010 premiere.

Cartoon Network (CartoonNetwork.com), currently seen in more than 97 million U.S. homes and 166 countries around the world, is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.'s ad-supported cable service now available in HD offering the best in original, acquired and classic entertainment for youth and families.
CHOWDER (TV-Y7-FV)
Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT)

The animated comedy series Chowder chronicles the magical misadventures of a young chef's apprenticeship in the fantastical city of Marzipan, where each day is filled with amazing and surreal situations and avoiding one disaster after another. In Marzipan City, where Snail Cars crowd the streets and colorful citizens hustle and bustle, the Mung Daal Catering Company cooks up the most oddly delicious food. And that is exactly where Chowder, an aspiring young chef in training, likes to be. Under the watchful eye of the eccentric and much older Mung Daal, it is Chowder's job to assist with the usual kitchen duties, like cooking Sing Beans until they warble on key, nursing a bruised Bluenana back to health, or delivering a thousand-pound cake to a man who lives on the head of a giant. Chowder is perfect for the job, because no one loves cooking or trying new foods as much as he does. He's a sweet, impetuous and a thoroughly gullible little kid, and wherever he goes, chaos usually ensues. New episodes of Chowder air Thursday nights at 7:30 p.m. as part of the HAR HAR THARSDAYS programming block.

• Thursday, August 6: "Paint the Town" – When Chowder discovers an empty canvas dimension behind his bedroom, he paints his own fantastical world where he can do whatever he wants. "The Blackout" – After he causes a city-wide blackout, Chowder must brave both the darkness and an army of weirdoes to restore the power.
• Thursday, August 13: "The Dice Cycle" – When Chowder accidentally wrecks Mung's childhood dice cycle, he blames it on Ceviché. Cartoon Network's new show, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE premiered Friday January 18th. I was sent two future episodes of George of the Jungle to look at, "Brother George," which is the first part of episode 10, and "Rebel Without a Claw," which is the first part of episode 14, and I have to say they are pretty fun. It's exactly the kind of cartoon you can expect to find on the Cartoon Network. Each episode has two parts and each part is about 11 minutes, which which makes is so much more compelling to watch, especially for someone like me that doesn't have much time to dedicate to new show.
The storylines are pretty fun and relaxing, you really don't have to concentrate to watch it. It's just pure fun, at least to me.

And let's face it, you have to watch it if only to listen to the George of the Jungle theme song. I could sing that song all day.

George of the Jungle airs every Friday at 7:30 pm on the Cartoon Network. Check out a sneak peak of the show below.

I am always on the lookout for new fun shows and so when I heard that Cartoon Network was launching a new show, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE, I had to write about it. Yes, I do watch cartoons sometimes.
George of the Jungle premieres in its regular time slot on Friday January 18th at 7:30 pm with a one-hour special and will air every Friday at 7:30 pm after that.
I don't think I need to spell out what George of the Jungle will be about. "Watch out for that tree!" sums it all up...
You can also check out George of the Jungle's official website for some more information.
For now check out the preview below. It looks pretty fun.
