FX has finally announced a date for the return of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA. The show will return for an all new season on Thursday, September 18. I cannot wait!!!

First Look: FX’s SONS OF ANARCHY - Pictures & Videos

FX will premiere a new original series in September called SONS OF ANARCHY. After only looking at the promo and behind the scenes videos below, I can pretty much say that FX has done it again. This looks like another great show with a very strong cast including Charlie Hunnam (who should have gotten a show a long time ago) and Katey Sagal. And if you think about it, has FX ever made a bad show? Not that I watch everything on FX, but almost. And even the shows I do not watch I recognize their quality. So Sons of Anarchy is definitely a show to keep in mind for the Fall.
Synopsis: Sons of Anarchy is an adrenalized, darkly humorous drama exploring a notorious outlaw motorcycle club’s intent on protecting their simple, sheltered town of Charming, Calif. from advancing drug dealers and local corporate developers. It is also a family saga seen through the eyes of Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) whose love for the brotherhood comes into direct conflict with his growing apprehension regarding the club’s lawlessness. Katey Sagal stars as his force-of-nature mother who, along with the club’s president, Jax’s stepfather, has her own ideas about the direction of the Sons of Anarchy.

30 DAYS - “Animal Rights” Episode Review

I have had the opportunity of screening the third episode of 30 Days “Animal Rights” airing Tuesday June 17, 2008. Here is my review of this episode.
The Good
I found that George Snedeker, the principal of these 30 Days was actually the most reasonable person in this episode. I agree with him that people should not be extreme in their views, regardless of how noble the intentions are. Also I like that the show brought awareness to PETA’s cause without being too sensationalist about it.
The Bad
Some of the PETA members need to work on the arguments a little bit because they definitely did not get my support. In particular, the lady from the rescue group who said that, given the choice, she would rather save her pet than a perfect stranger. WTF? A human being, unless he is Charles Manson or something is not comparable to an animal. Ridiculous!!
The Ugly
It is a damn shame that meat companies treat these animals with such cruelty. There is absolutely no need to inflict pain and suffering to any animal. I am not saying that people should stop eating meat because that is too extreme and just simply impractical however consumers should require companies to employ methods that do not involve cruelty.
Overall, this was a good episode and like George, I feel like I have learned something from this. There is such a thing as animal rights.

FX’s 30 DAYS - 30 Days in a Wheelchair Episode Review

I have had the opportunity of screening the second episode of 30 Days “30 Days in a Wheelchair” airing Tuesday June 10, 2008. Here is my review of this episode.
The Good
Once again, 30 Days puts a very positive and empowering spin on the lives of people who have to stay in a wheelchair for their entire lives. Not only do they endeavor in living normal lives the best they can, they also demonstrate to some degree that they have something more than the common person in the sense that they don’t take anything for granted.
The Bad
Although I believe Ray Crockett performed admirably in these 30 Days, I feel that using him was not really a fair comparison as he has the financial means to overcome some of the more practical adversities that people in wheelchairs face such as retro-fitting the house and the car. IMHO, it would have been a more powerful message if we had to see someone with a more average bank account deal with this struggle (then again 30 Days would not have been enough time to do so).
The Ugly
There was absolutely nothing ugly about this episode. However, I wanted to point that it should be a national embarrassment to have one of the richest country in the world unable to provide adequate facilities and services for all citizens, especially the ones in this difficult situations
Overall, a great 30 Days episode. Definitely worth watching!

Interview: MORGAN SPURLOCK from 30 DAYS

Recently, Daemon’s TV took part in a conference call with MORGAN SPURLOCK to talk about the premiere of the third season from 30 DAYS.
Morgan Spurlock talks about which story moved him the most, how they find participants, what he considers to be a successful 30 Days, and more.

What story from this current season moves you personally the most?
Morgan Spurlock: I think that just being able to go home to my home state of West Virginia and kind of be immersed in this environment and around these people who affected so much of my own life growing up that you don’t even kind of take into consideration; I think that’s probably the most moving for me in being there.
Can you explain a little bit more about what happened?
MS: I just think for me it was just kind of eye opening and the people that you meet and these are people that none of us think about. It’s a profession that none of us really know much about or know what goes on and we really take it for granted. These are people who are putting their lives on the line every single day to basically go underground and mine a resource that essentially enables you and I to turn on a light bulb every day. Fifty percent of our electricity comes from the work these guys do, and I don’t think anybody thinks about that. So I think for me that was probably just one of the many eye-opening things that you start to see. And as you’re surrounded by these guys it really is a brotherhood of these people. It’s a group of people that really look out for one another; they really care about one another. And I just felt really honored just to get to be a part of that.

Early Review: FX’s 30 DAYS - Season 3 Premiere

Tomorrow, June 3, FX’s amazing original unscripted series, 30 DAYS will premiere its 3rd season at 10pm.
This is the best unscripted series out there and it would be a shame for you to miss it.
30 Days features a diverse group of participants, each given the opportunity to experience first-hand a world antithetical to their own comfortable existence. Each installment examines a different subject, explore explosive topical issues and conducts fascinating social experiments. As each 30 Days participant learns about the lives and beliefs of others, viewers learn more about themselves.

TV Show: 30 DAYS
Episode: “Minimum Wage” (S01E01)
Synopsis: The day after the Oscars, nominee Morgan Spurlock and his fiancée Alex uproot themselves from the financial security of their fabulous New York City lives and work at multiple minimum wage jobs for 30 days.
Why we like it: 30 Days is one of the most interesting shows on television. Created by Morgan Spurlock, who directed and produced the great documentary, “Super Size Me,” 30 Days follows different people as they spend 30 days in an environment and lifestyle they are unfamiliar with. And since Season 3 is about to premiere on June 3rd on at 10pm on FX, I thought it was perfect timing for you to check out the very first episode of the series.

Early Review: THE RICHES “The Lying King” (S02E07)

Don’t forget to watch the season two finale of THE RICHES tonight, April 29, at 10pm on FX.
Even though this episode wasn’t originally supposed to be the season finale, I think it fits perfectly. The whole family’s world is crashing down and everybody will end up in a very different place than where they first started.
After finding out Pete’s dead, Dahlia struggles between her old way of life and being a better person. She tries to reconnect with her parole officer, but things don’t really turn out the way she or even I expected.
Wayne is trying to keep the family together, but just doesn’t seem to quite get it. Things get more and more out of control and the more he tries to make it better, the worse it gets.
Di Di continues to explore suburban life while hanging out with her new security guard boyfriend.
As for Cal, he might have put things in motion that could destroy his family.
This episode of The Riches will definitely leave you wanting for more, and I cannot believe we are going to have to wait so long to see what happens next to the Malloy family.
