NIP/TUCK "Briggite Reinhart" (Season 6 Episode 3)

There is great news for all you NIP/TUCK fans out there. Season 6 of the Emmy award winning television show will premiere on FX on October 14th at 10:00 pm. I was able to check out an early copy of the first episode of Season 6, "Don Hoberman", so I can give you the dirt on what you can expect.

Before I do that, let me first give you a brief recap of where Season 5 left off. Shortly before Christian and Liz set off on their honeymoon, Christian found out that the doctors made a mistake and he was not dying of breast cancer as he thought. Meanwhile, Sean gets together with Teddy and Julia regains her memory. Now let's chat about the new season.

In episode 1, "Don Hoberman", we find Christian and Liz in the middle of a nasty divorce. Hell seems to hath no fury like a Liz scorned. Meanwhile, Sean and Christian are having some serious financial trouble due to the credit crunch. I guess Californians are able to live without tummy tucks in times of recession, who knew? However, another plastic surgeon (played by Mario Lopez) might be able to help them get some additional business. The question is, will this be enough to keep them afloat?

Sean and Teddy are still going strong in episode one, however, fans may be surprised that Teddy is no longer played by Katee Sackoff but is now played by Rose McGowan (who I absolutely love). I think McGowan does a great job, and I hope fans are happy about the switch. In other news, Matt has himself a crappy day, while Kimber looks for a new career path.

Overall I'd say "Don Hoberman" is a fun episode that has a few surprises as well as guest stars. Although I wouldn't give it a perfect 10, Mario Lopez's six pack alone will give you enough reason to check it out.

NIP/TUCK - Meet the stars and visit McNamara/Troy Offices tonight

Sean and Christian are coming to Hollywood! This is going to be interesting.

The fifth season of NIP/TUCK premieres on October 30th at 10pm on FX. And I have to be honest I haven't watched Nip/Tuck since season one. I don't know why because I really, really, loved the first season, but I think at the time I wasn't as addicted to TV as I am now and I just missed the season two premiere. But ever since the cool promos for season five have started airing, I have been thinking that I should put Nip/Tuck on my TV on DVD to watch list.

Still, I am going to highly recommend this TV show because 1) FX usually has really good shows 2) The previews for Nip/Tuck always look awesome.

TBS GOES HD

TBS will be joining the HD train on September 1st.

Some of the shows slated to air in HD are My Boys, The Bill Engvall Show, Tyler Perry's House of Payne, and old shows like Seinfeld, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond and Sex and the City will also be included.

In addition, TBS will also present exclusive coverage of the Major League Baseball's Division Series Playoffs and the National League Championship Series in high-def.

TBS will broadcast in 1080i HD and use Dolby Digital 5.1. All of its programming will be presented in 16:9 format (including commercials), this means no more switching between formats.

NO MORE "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS" REPEAT ON NBC

After putting repeats of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS to air on Friday night, in order to gain new fans, NBC has taken the show off its schedule.

According to Nielsen's ratings, Friday Night Lights repeats only averaged a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49.

An NBC spokesman said the network still hopes to re-air “Lights” in late August or early September in order to better take advantage of the planned DVD release of the first season.

The network also mentioned that it might bring the show back as a marathon.

30 DAYS NEW SEASON INFO

Morgan Spurlock revealed (at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills) the subject of 30 DAYS first episode of the third season: Morgan Spurlock himself will work as a coal miner in West Virginia.

Preproduction has begun with filming to commence in approximately four weeks, though Cutler noted that it takes five months for an episode to go from conception to delivery.

THE OFFICE, A VIDEOGAME?!

Can I pick Dwight as my character?

Fans of THE OFFICE, your favorite Dunder Mifflin characters are coming to a gamestore next to you.

In a rare deal to turn a network live-action sitcom into a videogame, casual gamemaker MumboJumbo has licensed rights to "The Office" from NBC Universal.

Peacock net comedy will be the first-ever Hollywood license for the publisher, which makes inexpensive arcade-style games. It plans to turn "The Office" into a humorous game in which players have to handle jobs and play pranks at Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch.

The characters will be portrayed as bobblehead-type dolls and the game will feature audio and video clips from The Office.

However the game will only be available on Nintendo DS, Sony PSP handheld consoles, and on PC. No Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii...seriously...then how good can it really be?...you know I'm gonna get it though as soon as it's available...they had me at The Office...

Bradley Cooper (you might remember him from Alias) will be joining NIP/TUCK for a five-episode arc in the upcoming fifth season. The only information about the character he will be playing is that he isn't a love interest for anyone.

RACHEL GRIFFITHS IN A NEW MINISERIES

Rachel Griffiths (Sarah Walker on Brothers & Sisters) will be starring in a six-hour miniseries called Comanche Moon, based on the novels of Larry McMurty.
In Comanche Moon, Rachel Griffiths will be playing Inez Scull, the wife of Captain-Texas Ranger Inish Scull.

Comanche Moon will premiere in November 2007 on CBS.

Comanche Moon bridges the McMurtry's novels, Dead Man's Walk and Lonesome Dove, and follows the adventures of Texas Rangers Augustus McCrae, played by Steven Zahn, and Woorow F. Call, played by Karl Urban, as they face the pressures of adulthood. Soon, they embark on a quest to pursue three outlaws, including the great Comanche war chief Buffalo Hump (Graham Greene), the celebrated Comanche horse thief Kicking Wolf (Jonathon Joss), and the deadly Mexican bandit and murderer Ahumado (Sal Lopez). Under the leadership of Inish Scull (Val Kilmer), the troops of Texas Rangers unite to capture the notorious bandits.

EUREKA AND THE ENVIRONMENT

When EUREKA returns on July 10th on Sci-Fi, it will include "a national contest that will award a home energy-efficiency makeover, sponsored by the Channel, the Alliance to Save Energy and the Edison Electric Institute (EEI)." (Source Starpulse)
