ARMY WIVES "Shrapnel and Alibis" Season 3 Episode 16

This week Army Wives's episode "As Time Goes By" travels back 65 years. Roxy and Pamela meet two older army wives in a nursing home who tell them their own stories at Fort Marshall during WWII. The fun part is that we see all the regulars actor transported back to the 1940's and reenacting the stories as different characters.

Now the bad news is that this episode doesn't advance any of the regular storylines. But the good news is, it's a pretty fun episode and a break from the regular army wives stories.

ARMY WIVES "Best Laid Plans" (Season 3 Episode 1)

Lifetime's most successful original series, ARMY WIVES is back on June 7 at 10pm, for its third season.

Can you believe it has already been 2 years since we first met Claudia Joy, Denise, Roxy, Pamela and Roland? And their stories have kept us absorbed until now. And I'm sure a lot of you are dying to know what's coming up this season. Well, I got to take an early look at the first two episodes of season 3 and I can tell you that I think you'll be happy with how the story continues to develop.

If you remember when season 2 ended, Emmalin took off with Logan to prevent her parents from taking her to Belgium with them. As for Claudia Joy, she was surprised by the unexpected visit of Mac's ex-girlfriend.

These two storylines will be the point of focus at the beginning of season 3. Claudia Joy and Michael do everything they can to find Emmalin, and when they inevitably do, some of their life plans are shaken a bit and they need to figure out what to do next.

As for Claudia Joy, she not only needs to figure out what the situation with Mac is, but she also has to deal with the unapproving eye from her friends.

Overall, I have to say it is quite a season opener. After watching the first episode, I had to watch the second one right away. And now I cannot wait to find out what happens next. This season has potential for so many stories and so many dramas, I think that it's going to remind us of why we love the show so much.

So don't forget to tune in for the season 3 premiere of Army Wives on June 7, at 10pm on Lifetime.

Army Wives (The Complete Second Season)

Synopsis: Army Wives follows the lives of four army wives, their families, and an "army husband" whose wife is in the army.

Recommendations: When I started watching Army Wives, the quality of the show really blew me away. And the second season is as good as the first one. This is your chance to own it so you can watch it over and over again.

Raising the Bar (The Complete First Season)

Synopsis: Raising the Bar revolves around a group of law school classmates who find themselves on opposite sides of the criminal law.

Cast: Mark Paul Gosselaar, Natalia Cigliuti, Gloria Reuben, Teddy Sears, J. August Richards, Melissa Sagemiller, Jane Kaczmarek, Currie Graham

Recommendations: If you haven't seen Raising the Bar yet, then you are missing out. It is such a great show that for once focuses on the defense side of the justice system. The stories are really compelling and it's pretty scary to think this is how the system really works. It's a great reality check. You don't want to miss it. And with season 2 starting on June 8th, this is the perfect time to catch up.

Prison Break (The Complete Fourth Season)

Synopsis: Most men would do anything to get out of Fox River Penitentiary, but Michael Scofield will do anything to get in. Recommendations: Well, this is the final season for Prison Break, and it's true that the show is definitely not what it was in its first season, but if you have been a fan and want to find out how it all ends, then this would be a great rental.

Wallander

Synopsis: Wallander is a series adapted from Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels and starring Kenneth Branagh as the eponymous police inspector.

Cast: Kenneth Branagh

Recommendations: I haven't yet seen Wallander, but have been meaning to. Kenneth Branagh is a really talented actor and I think it's worth taking a look.

Weeds (The Complete Fourth Season)

Recommendations: After four seasons of selling drugs, what will Nancy get herself into this time? Well, it's time you found out. This summer is the perfect time to catch up on your Weeds.

Blood Ties

Synopsis: Blood Ties centers around Vicki Nelson, a former TPS cop who left the force to become a private investigator after beginning to lose her eyesight. Through her work she teams up with the 480-year-old vampire Henry Fitzroy, who happens to be the illegitimate son of Henry VIII.

Cast: Christina Cox, Kyle Schmid, Dylan Neal, Gina Holden

Recommendations: If you feel like maybe discovering a new show this summer, you might want to give Blood Ties a chance. I personally haven't seen it, and although I doubt it's up to the quality standards on Moonlight and True Blood, it might be fun to check out, especially for vampire fans.
