SIDE ORDER OF LIFE - Season Finale so much better than I could have hoped…
October 8, 2007
I don’t know if I want to laugh or cry! I LOVED the season finale but I cannot believe there won’t be another episode next week. Why are they doing this to me? SIDE ORDER OF LIFE just climbed up so high on my favorite TV shows list, it almost got to the top tonight. Lifetime has a new fan, they have given us a show that is as good if not better than what Network TV offers us.
Let me start by first saying I am so glad Ian Ziering wasn’t the real cell phone man because the real one was so much better than I could ever have expected.
I decided not to put a revealing picture of Cell Phone Man above so that I wouldn’t spoil those who hadn’t yet seen the season finale. But there are more pictures after the jump that do include him (’cause you know you want to see him) as well as the rest of my review. [Read more]

On Tonight, Sunday 10/6: DEXTER, SIDE ORDER OF LIFE, and more…
October 6, 2007

LIFE IS WILD “Pilot” - 8pm the CW
Life Is Wild premieres tonight and 1) I haven’t seen much about the show 2) the little that I did see didn’t look very good. They did change some of actors, but I’m not sure this show is a winner. I’m going to tune in just to check out the pilot, but from the looks of it, Life Is Wild is trying to be a mix between 7th Heaven and Everwood and I’m not sure that’s going to work.
Story: Katie Clarke may never forgive her veterinarian father, Danny, for dragging their entire blended family out of New York City to spend a year living in a broken-down lodge called The Blue Antelope in a game reserve deep inside South Africa. Everyone in the family is sure Danny has lost his mind. But Danny’s reasons go beyond his desire to keep his troubled family together while making a difference in the lives of the people and animals of South Africa: his deceased first wife Claire grew up at The Blue Antelope and it’s still home to her reclusive father Art.

DEXTER “Waiting To Exhale” - 9pm Showtime
After watching the first season this summer, Dexter has become one of my favorite TV shows (read my Dexter review here) and with a great beginning of the second season last week, tonight is likely to be another great episode of our favorite serial killer.

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “Nothing Left to Lose” & “Funeral for a Phone” - 9pm & 10pm Lifetime
Double Side Order Of Life tonight as well as the season finale. If you have seen the preview for next week, it looks like Brian (Ian Ziering) might not be our dear cell phone man after all. I am so sad Side Order Of Life is over after tonight, they better bring it back next summer, I need my Ian time…

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES “Smiles Of A Summer Night” - 9pm ABC
Desperate Housewives is always a fun show to watch on Sundays. With last week’s premiere, it looks like the new neighbors brought more than furniture with them. I am officially curious about this season’s mystery.

FAMILY GUY “Believe It Or Not, Joe’s Walking On Air” - 9pm FOX
When my friends first told me about Family Guy, I didn’t really want to watch it, but they lent me the first season so I thought I would give it a try. I have been a fan ever since. It’s one of the few cartoons that actually makes me laugh out loud. It’s so fun to have it back.

AMERICAN DAD “Meter Made” - 9:30pm FOX
After liking Family Guy so much, I had to watch American Dad. Now it’s on my schedule as well. This TV show has its characters who all have weird sides, it can be pretty funny.

BROTHERS & SISTERS “An America Family” - 10pm ABC
The Walker family is back tonight. I know one of my friends is jumping up and down right now. Every week he emails me to tell me how good Brothers & Sisters is. It is a good show, but I’m just not as excited to watch Brothers & Sisters as I am to watch Moonlight for instance. Still, it brings joy to my Sunday nights.

DEXTER “It’s Alive!” - 9pm Showtime
Our favorite serial killer is back! It seems he just left… maybe it’s because he literally just left for me (if you have read my review of Dexter, then you know I just finished watching the first season two days ago.) Either way, I am so glad I will get to see the new adventures of Dexter tonight. And for those who are not on the Dexter train yet, what are you waiting for?

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “Aliens” - 9pm Lifetime
Last week was the big reveal of who cell phone man was, none other than Ian Ziering (check out some pictures here) how cool is that? In tonight’s episode, Jenny and cell phone man Brian are on their first “official” date. This show is just so cute, it puts me in a good mood when I watch it. Did I mention I want Ian and Jenny back together?…Yes I did, I have been mentioning it the last few weeks… well, I still do.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES “Now You Know” - 9pm ABC
Desperate Housewives starts a whole new season tonight. I like Desperate Housewives, but am not as excited about the new season as I have been for past seasons. What I am excited about is seeing Nathan Fillion in his new role as a Desperate Husband.

FAMILY GUY “Movin’ Out (Brian’s Song)” - 9pm FOX
With last week’s episode of Family Guy, it’s safe to say that the show is back in full force! I am so surprised at some of the stuff FOX lets Family Guy do. Not that I dislike it, but it’s so outrageous sometimes I wonder if FOX is going to cut to that big ball from the Emmys.

AMERICAN DAD “Vacation Goo” - 9:30pm FOX
Even though American Dad is not as funny as Family Guy, it has its moments. My favorite character is Klaus, the german fish, he cracks me up.

BROTHERS & SISTERS “Home Front” - 10pm ABC
I know someone who’s happy this show is back tonight (*coughPhilippcough*). The Walkers are back with new stories that will make use laugh and cry. It was one of the surprises from last season for me, I didn’t expect to like it but after watching the pilot, I entered the Walker clan and became a member.
THE REST
EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION “Akana Family” - 8pm ABC
I have never watched this show, but it actually sounds fun. I just don’t have time or space on my DVR to record it, plus it’s a reality show, which means it goes to the bottom of my list. Still, it’s back and I’m sure lots of people are going to be happy to get a Home Makeover.
BROTHERHOOD “One Too Many Mornings 3:4-8″ - 10pm Showtime
I never got into that show, I don’t even think I finished the pilot. I was probably not in the mood for that type of show at the time. It’s too bad because I really like Jason Isaacs who plays one of the main characters, Michael Caffee. I mean come on the man is Lucius Malfoy for crying out loud. How did this conversation get to Harry Potter again?
Also tonight, Cold Case (9pm CBS), Shark (10pm CBS).

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE - Want to find out who cell phone man is?
September 23, 2007
If you have been following SIDE ORDER OF LIFE as I have been, you are probably as obsessed as me to find out who cell phone man is.
The good news is I actually was able to get two pictures of the mysterious cell phone man, and if you cannot wait for tonight keep on reading.

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “Awakenings” - 8pm Lifetime
Cell phone man is on tonight!!! Oh yeah, finally! A certain actor from a TV show I loved when I was young is guest starring tonight, you know what that means… I won’t spell it out for you, but let’s say I’m really excited by the choice of actor made for cell phone man. Bonus: I posted two pictures from the episode with the cell phone man in question if you are curious to find out who it is. Click here to find out who cell phone man is. (If you don’t want to be spoiled then don’t click on the link.)

FAMILY GUY “Blue Harvest” - 9pm FOX
The long-awaited “Star Wars” episode finally airs tonight and I cannot wait to watch it. We actually got a tease of it at Comic Con, but nothing beats a full episode. How fun is Family Guy? I have to thank my friends for “forcing” me to watch it, I absolutely love it.
THE REST

THE SIMPSONS “He Loves To Fly And He D’oh’s” - 8pm FOX
The Simpsons are back tonight with a whole new season. Not that I don’t like The Simpsons, it’s just that I never got into it. I think I was probably too young when it started and I feel that now it’s too late for me to start. Still, it’s one of FOX’s most popular show, so I am sure tons of people are glad to see it back. Check out a picture from the first episode here.

KING OF THE HILL “Suite Smells Of Excess” - 8pm FOX
Not much to say about the show since I have never seen it and don’t even know what it’s about. Doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just that when it started I was probably not as informed about new TV shows as I am today.

COLD CASE “Thrill Kill” - 9pm CBS
Season 5 starts tonight. I like Cold Case, I do, but it’s one of those shows that doesn’t keep me interested enough to watch it every week. I watched the first three seasons and then sort of lost interest. I will watch Cold Case if I happen to find it when I am browsing. I do have to say that if you like CSI, Criminal Minds, etc. you might like Cold Case.

SHARK “Gangster Movies” - 10pm CBS
Season 2 starts tonight. Procedural dramas, not my thing, so I never really watched Shark. Too bad because I am a big fan of James Woods.

On Tonight, Sunday 9/15: 59TH PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS, and more…
September 15, 2007

Live from the Red Carpet: The 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards - 6pm E!
This year Kristin Veitch Dos Santos will be on the red carpet interviewing all the stars, and since I love her blog and “The Vine Show,” I will be tuning in to E! for sure.

Countdown to the Emmys - 7pm FOX
This is FOX Countdown to the Emmys. It starts an hour after E! but since everybody seems to arrive closer to 8pm (which makes sense), I might switch back and forth once FOX’s coverage starts.

59th Primetime Emmy Awards - 8pm FOX
So here we are, the Emmys are tonight and we will find out who the winners are this year. I know from experience that my picks usually don’t win, but it won’t prevent me from posting my picks later today before the results air.

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “Coming Out” - 8pm Lifetime
Such a sweet show, but I still wish that Jenny would get back together with Ian or meet wrong number guy. Other than that, I only have good things to say about the show. I love it and everyone in it.

THE 4400 “The Great Leap Forward” - 9pm USA
Season 4 finale tonight and I’ve got some pictures coming your way in a later post. This season of The 4400 has been great and I cannot wait for them to be back. I also can’t wait to see how the season ends, especially after some revelations by Executive Producer, Ira Behr, at Comic Con (read my post about The 4400 panel at Comic Con here).

On Tonight, Sunday 7/9: TELL ME YOU LOVE ME, THE 4400, and more…
September 9, 2007

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “When Pigs Fly” - 8pm Lifetime
Every week, I love this show more and more. It feels like Lifetime created this show just for me and my romantic side. Oh and when is Jenny finally going to meet Mister Wrong Number? Are they going to make us wait another season?

THE 4400 “Tiny Machines” - 9pm USA
The 4400 is one of my favorite TV shows this summer, and every season it gets better and better. I cannot wait to see how this season will end, but at the same time I’m sad we’ll have to wait another year to watch next season.

TELL ME YOU LOVE ME - 9pm HBO
A new show from HBO, I’m in. I haven’t heard much about the show, but I have seen some previews a while ago and ever since then I have been wanting to watch it. Plus since it’s HBO, you know it will be a quality show.

DAMAGES “She Spat At Me” - 10pm FX
I have been following Damages. It took me a while to watch the first episode, but I finally did and sort of liked it. It’s not my favorite this summer, but nice enough for me to keep watching. I have to give it up to the actors though, they all do a great job and I think it’s one of the reason I have been watching Damages.

On Tonight, Sunday 8/26: THE 4400, ARMY WIVES, and more…
August 25, 2007

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “Try To Remember” - 8pm Lifetime
Is this the episode where Jenny finally meets Mister Wrong Number? I can’t stand it anymore, I want to see what he looks like. Oh and by the way, I am not liking Ian with the new girl.

THE 4400 “Ghost In The Machine” - 9pm USA
Getting all the news from Comic Con makes it even more exciting to watch The 4400, because I know some of the things to expect but I want to see more. Every week, I love the show more and more, the storylines don’t stop impressing me.

THE KILL POINT “The Devil’s Zoo” - 9pm Spike
Since I had about 5 episodes on my DVR today I have been watching them one after the other, this show is so addictive and so good. Donnie Wahlberg and John Leguizamo are exquisite. You need to watch this mini-series.

ENTOURAGE “No Cannes Do” - 10pm HBO
I haven’t watched Entourage in while and I’m not sure where they are at in the story at this point. Maybe I’ll catch it tonight to get back on track.

ARMY WIVES “Goodbye Stranger” - 10pm Lifetime
I cannot believe tonight is already the season finale, it went by so fast. The good news is, Army Wives has been picked up for a second season, so this is not the end. I’m thinking the episode going to be a tearjerker, so I’m getting my tissues ready. This series is different from other shows you see on TV, it has different themes that makes is so nice to watch. I cannot wait for the second season to start.
