About the Show
When a secret military research base is attacked, a small group of civilians and military personnel escape through the Stargate to a ship that is locked on course through deep space.
"Stargate Universe" follows a band of soldiers, scientists and civilians, who must fend for themselves as they are forced through a Stargate when their hidden base comes under attack. The desperate survivors emerge aboard an ancient ship, which is locked on an unknown path and unable to return to Earth. Faced with meeting the most basic needs of food, water and air, the group must discover the secrets of the ship’s Stargate to survive. The danger, adventure and hope they find on board the Destiny will reveal the heroes and villains among them.
Edgier and younger in tone, "Stargate Universe" will take the franchise in a dynamic new direction, appealing to longtime "Stargate" fans and first-time viewers alike. The series stars award-winning Scottish actor Robert Carlyle ("Trainspotting," "The Full Monty") as Dr. Nicholas Rush, an acclaimed and respected scientist who will gamble the livelihood of many for the advancement of science itself. The series also stars Ming-Na ("The Joy Luck Club," "ER") as Camile Wray, Lou Diamond Phillips ("La Bamba," "Stand and Deliver") as Lieutenant Telford, as well as David Blue as Eli Wallace, Alaina Huffman as Master Sergeant. Tara Johansen, Louis Ferreira as Col. Everett Young, Jamil Walker Smith as Master Sergeant Ronald Greer and Brian J. Smith as Lt. Matthew Scott.

After being hosed down and dumped in a room on her own Magnus becomes fearful when an aggressive man, with a familiar face, enters.

New York, NY – October 30, 2009 –The BBC today announced the imminent arrival of the final Doctor Who episodes starring David Tennant as the Doctor. Television's longest running science fiction series, shot in HD, has just three episodes to go before a new Doctor arrives on screen next year.
The next special, Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars airs on BBC AMERICA, Saturday December 19, 9:00pm ET/PT. It stars Tennant and British stage and screen actress Lindsay Duncan (Rome, Langford) as Adelaide, his cleverest and most strong-minded companion.
All will be revealed as the Doctor and his companion Adelaide face terror on the Red Planet in one of the scariest adventures yet. Peter O'Brien (Casualty, Neighbours) guest stars as Ed, Adelaide's second-in-command at the base.

SYFY GIVES GREENLIGHT TO "BEING HUMAN"
New drama based on UK series to premiere in 2010
NEW YORK - October 29, 2009 - Syfy has ordered 13 episodes of Being Human from RDF Media USA, it was announced today by Dave Howe, President, Syfy, and Chris Coelen, CEO of RDF Media USA. Being Human will premiere on Syfy in Summer 2010.
Being Human is a re-imagining of the acclaimed BBC original. Three 20-something roommates, a ghost, a vampire, and a werewolf, struggle to keep their dark secrets from the world, while helping each other navigate the complexities of living double lives. The original UK series is produced by RDF subsidiary Touchpaper Television and executive produced by Rob Pursey.
"Being Human is a smart, contemporary, young and imaginative series that reflects Syfy's new brand positioning. We are very excited to adapt this for an American audience and bring it into Syfy's family of programming," said Dave Howe in making the announcement.
Mark Stern, Executive Vice President, Original Content for Syfy and Co-Head, Original Content for Universal Cable Productions added, "We've loved this project and been tracking it for a while. Being Human definitely distinguishes itself as something new and different in a landscape filled with familiar supernatural fare. NEW YORK - October 27, 2009 - Syfy has partnered with Disney-ABC Domestic Television to present a special "Legend of the Seeker" marathon event on Thursday, November 5 from 6 pm - 12 AM, ET/PT. The marathon will give fans a chance to catch up and relive six favorite episodes from the first season of the epic fantasy series, and also serve to introduce the show to Syfy viewers who may not have experienced it. Combining elements of fantasy, adventure, magic, mystery and romance with state-of-the-art visual effects and a high level of action, the series is an adaptation of internationally best-selling author Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth book series.
The marathon begins with the series premiere, when Richard (Craig Horner, "Monarch Cove" and "Blue Water High") first discovers his destiny to stop the sinister tyrant Darken Rahl (Craig Parker, "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers").
