(November 12, 2009) BURBANK, CA- The tests results are in and Larry David ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") received his surprising results LIVE on "Lopez Tonight" Thursday, Nov. 12. "Lopez Tonight" is the first late-night show to tests its guests DNA to determine their ethnic heritage. Last night, the anticipated results were revealed to Larry on "Lopez Tonight."

Larry's reactions from his DNA test results:

Larry : "This is so stupid, I don't know why I agreed to this."
George: "Are you interested? Why did you do it Larry?"
Larry: "Why did I do the DNA test? I thought that would be cool to know your ethnicity and all that. I know I'm a Jew but where did I come from? Maybe I'm not. Maybe I've got some Indian or Mexican in me. Who the hell knows? Maybe I'll be surprised by this."
George: "Oh you will be surprised."

George: "I have the results, are you ready?"
Larry: "Sure."
George: "Okay here we go. OH MY GOD! Larry. You are 63% European....drum roll Robin...Larry David you are 37% Native American."
Larry: "What do you mean. I'm a Comanche? I'm in the Iroquois Tribe. What are you saying?"
George: "Listen, you're a member of two tribes. You're Jewish...."
Larry: "My whole life has changed."
George: "...and you're Native American."
Larry: "I'm Indian. I'm an Indian."
George: "You are an Indian."
Larry: "Am I?"
Larry: "What! This can't be true."
George: "Its True, its absolutely true."

Larry David Found Out his True Ethnicity on LOPEZ TONIGHT

When TBS's eagerly anticipated series LOPEZ TONIGHT brings the party to late-night television, it will be to the strains of one of the greatest rock musicians of all time: Carlos Santana. Host George Lopez will welcome the legendary guitarist as the show's first scheduled musical guest Monday, Nov. 9, at 11 p.m.
(ET/PT). Carlos Santana will perform with the show's house band, led by Michael Bearden (This Is It). During the first week, Bearden is scheduled to play a special tribute to the late pop icon, Michael Jackson.

Also scheduled to perform during LOPEZ TONIGHT's first few weeks are Marc Anthony, Morissey, Slash, Akon, LMFAO, Jay Sean, Amerie, Justin Bieber, Orianthi, David Guetta and The Bravery. More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Along with Carlos Santana, the premiere-night guests for LOPEZ TONIGHT will be Ellen DeGeneres, Eva Longoria-Parker of Desperate Housewives and NBA great Kobe Bryant. Future guests include Sandra Bullock, Ray Romano, Jamie Foxx, Jessica Alba, Charlie Sheen, Queen Latifah, Ted Danson, Andy Garcia, Larry David, Taylor Lautner, Oscar de la Hoya, Kelly Osbourne, Floyd Mayweather, Eva Mendes, Arsenio Hall and Kathy Griffin, among many others.

LOPEZ TONIGHT will air on TBS Monday through Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT). The show comes to TBS from 2.2 Productions, paraMedia Inc. and Telepictures Productions. Carlos Santana on LOPEZ TONIGHT

The beer will continue flowing at Crowley’s Tavern as TBS orders up a fourth season of its critically acclaimed original sitcom from Sony Pictures Television, MY BOYS. The series stars Jordana Spiro (The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard; Must Love Dogs) as PJ Franklin, a 20-something sports columnist in Chicago. TBS has lined up nine episodes for the new season, which is slated to launch in 2010.

Co-starring in MY BOYS as PJ’s mostly male group of close friends are Kyle Howard (Related, Orange County) as boyfriend Bobby, Reid Scott (American Dreams) as best friend Brendan, Michael Bunin (Scrubs) as Kenny and Jamie Kaler (The Family Stone) as Mike. Kellee Stewart (Guess Who?) co-stars as Stephanie, a former schoolmate and the only female influence in PJ’s life.

“MY BOYS has consistently grown its audience of young adults through a combination of funny, smartly written scripts, high-quality production and an enormously talented cast,” said Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “We look forward to working with the cast and crew on another successful season.”

MY BOYS premiered to critical praise on TBS in November 2006. When the series returned in summer 2007, it scored 22% growth among adults 18-34. Earlier this year, the show’s third season garnered 11% growth among adults 18-34. MY BOYS is particularly strong among DVR users, delivering 72% growth among adults 18-34 and 52% growth among viewers when comparing Live to Live + 7 viewing for the third season.

At the center of MY BOYS is PJ Franklin (Spiro), who spends her days writing a sports column for a major Chicago newspaper and her nights hanging out with friends, playing poker or sharing drinks at their favorite hangout, Crowley’s. During the series’ third season, PJ and fellow sportswriter Bobby (Howard) finally began dating after he called off his marriage to a Swedish nanny.

PJ’s gang includes Brendan (Scott), a DJ fired when his radio station changed formats, creating the opportunity for him to open a new club; Kenny (Bunin), the owner of a sports memorabilia store who has finally found his mojo with women; Mike (Kaler), a self-appointed ladies man who will try just about anything to get women to pay attention to him; and Stephanie (Stewart), who attended journalism school with PJ and recently became a relationship guru when her book was a bestseller.

MY BOYS comes to TBS from Pariah and Two Out Rally Productions, Inc., in association with Sony Pictures Television. Creator Betsy Thomas (Run of the House), Jamie Tarses and Gavin Polone (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Gilmore Girls) serve as executive producers.

TBS' MY BOYS Renewed for Fourth Season

As anticipation builds for Tyler Perry's newest film, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, set to be released by Lionsgate on Sept. 11, the enormously successful writer/actor/director invites fans to tune in to TBS for a one-hour special entitled THE TYLER PERRY SHOW. The uplifting hour includes revealing conversations with several of the movie's stars, including recent Oscar® nominee Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Imagen Award-nominee Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami), Grammy®-winning recording artist Gladys Knight and Grammy-winning gospel singer and pastor Marvin Winans. In addition, Knight and Winans perform songs from the film's soundtrack. THE TYLER PERRY SHOW is set to premiere on TBS Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 11 p.m. (ET/PT), immediately following the premiere of two new episodes of Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns.

The special, taped at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta before a studio audience, features Perry interviewing Henson, Rodriguez, Knight and Winans about their roles in the film, their lives and their careers. Henson is Skyped in from China, where she talks about working on the movie Kung Fu Kid; Rodriguez talks about his plans on CSI: Miami; Knight discusses her strong faith; and Winans and Perry talk about Madea's creative interpretation of the Bible. In addition, Knight gives a soulful performance of “Need to Be” from the movie's soundtrack, and Winans gets the audience members on their feet with a passionate rendition of the song “Just Don't Wanna Know.”

Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself, a Reuben Cannon/Lionsgate Production from Tyler Perry Studios, is an uplifting drama infused with music and Perry's trademark mixture of laughter and heart. In addition to Perry, Henson, Knight and Winans, the film stars Adam Rodriguez, Brian White, Hope Olaidé Wilson, Kwesi Boakye and Freddy Siglar. It features musical performances by Knight, Winans and Mary J. Blige, who sings an original song penned by chart-topping R&B writer/performer/producer Ne-Yo.

In I Can Do Bad All By Myself, Madea (Perry), America's favorite pistol-packing grandma, catches 16-year-old Jennifer and her two younger brothers looting her home. She decides to take matters into her own hands and delivers the young delinquents to the only relative they have, their Aunt April (Henson). A heavy-drinking nightclub singer who lives off her married boyfriend, Randy (White), April wants nothing to do with the kids. But her attitude begins to change when Sandino (Rodriguez), a handsome Mexican immigrant looking for work, moves into April's basement room. Making amends for his troubled past, Sandino challenges April to open her heart. And April soon realizes she must make the biggest choice of her life: between her old ways with Randy and the new possibilities of family, faith and even true love.

Tyler Perry to Host THE TYLER PERRY SHOW

THE BIll ENGVALL SHOW returns to tbs for its third season this Saturday, July 18, at 9pm.

We will be getting back to back episodes, so get ready for a full hour of Bill Engvall and his TV family.

I have seen the first two episodes and if you are a fan of the show, then you will be happy to know that The Bill Engvall Show returns just the way you like it. In the first episode "Give Me a Break," the family is dealing with the recession and realize they might not have enough money to send Lauren to spring break as promised. In the second episode, "You Decide," Bill thinks it's time for him to start making some decisions around the house, but let's just say that it's not as easy as Susan makes it seem.

I don't usually watch The Bill Engvall Show on a regular basis, but I do enjoy it when I do watch a few episodes here and there. It's just a relaxing and entertaining half hour, especially when I don't want to watch something too intense or dark.

I also recently got a chance to visit the set of The Bill Engvall Show, as well as watch the filming for one of the upcoming episodes.

This is a sitcom and so obviously there aren't some big storylines coming up that will surprise you, but the cast seemed happy to be back working and did mention a few things that would be coming up. For instance, the episode that was filming that week centered on Trent buying his first car, and if you have come to know anything about Trent is that he probably won't end up with the car Bill and Susan would have liked for him. You'll have to tune in to find out exactly what he spends his hard earned money on.

This season we also meet Bill's brother, Danny (played by Stephen Dunham), who just hit it big after one of his investment opportunities actually pays off.

So make sure you tune in tomorrow, Saturday July 18, at 9pm on tbs for a whole new season of The Bill Engvall Show.

This morning Turner has unveiled TNT, TBS and truTV's TV Development Slate for 2009. The projects that they are developing include one from Steven Spielberg and Steven Bochco.

In December 2009, TNT plans to debut the new series MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, a character-based drama from Everybody Loves Raymond Emmy® winners Ray Romano and Mike Royce. Romano will star in the project, which will take a wry look at what it means to be a guy approaching mid-life, with Andre Braugher (Homicide: Life on the Street) and Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap).

TNT today announced development plans for these new scripted drama series:

UNTITLED ALIEN INVASION PROJECT – Six months after a worldwide alien invasion, a group of everyday heroes must rise up to fight for their survival – all while maintaining their humanity in the process. This project has been ordered to pilot and comes to TNT from DreamWorks Television and filmmaker Steven Spielberg, who will serve as executive producer along with DreamWorks Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank and screenwriter Robert Rodat. Rodat, who earned an Oscar® nomination for his screenplay for Saving Private Ryan, is writing the script for the pilot from an idea he co-conceived with Spielberg.

CLASS ACTION (working title) – Steven Bochco, the mastermind behind many dramas, including TNT's Raising the Bar, joins with Stephen Godchaux (Spin City) for this project, which follows a down-on-his-luck attorney as he fights for the disenfranchised.

ZAPATA, TEXAS (working title) – The husband-and-wife team of Kyra Sedgwick (TNT's The Closer) and Kevin Bacon co-conceived and will executive-produce this project, which is the story of a small Texas border town and its newly elected sheriff, "favorite son" Zeke. ZAPATA, TEXAS will follow Zeke as he navigates the equally treacherous waters of small-town politics and the volatile world of the U.S./Mexico border. Bacon is attached to direct the pilot.

UNTITLED MATT WILLIAMS FAMILY DRAMA – Matt Williams, creator of Roseanne and co-creator of Home Improvement, takes a personal, passionate and ultimately heroic look at a loving, middle-American family that is keeping it together at a time when everything is trying to pull them apart.

UNTITLED DANIEL PYNE NOIR DRAMA – Daniel Pyne's many credits as a writer include The Manchurian Candidate (2004), Any Given Sunday and Pacific Heights. This project from Warner Horizon Television is set in 1954 Los Angeles, where a private detective tries to do the right thing as the ever-changing world makes it more difficult.

PASTOR JAZZ – This drama focuses on a minister, his music and his passion for people's hearts and souls, from the neediest to the wealthiest. Charles S. Dutton (The Express, Roc) is Pastor Jazz in this project, which is from Warner Horizon Television, Dutton, Mitchell Burgess (The Sopranos, Northern Exposure) and Robin Green (The Sopranos, Northern Exposure).

MACALISTER – Henry Shepard is a washed-up-novelist-turned-professor who tries to inspire the boys of The Macalister School. F.J. Pratt (Less Than Perfect) and Dan Cohen (Less Than Perfect) look into the minds and mischief of students at an all-boys school in upstate New York, showing how one man can have an impact on children of wealth and privilege.

PROOF – Dr. Geoffrey Pierce is an eccentric neuroscientist who uses his unique outlook to help the federal government solve complex cases. With an intimate knowledge of human behavior and a masterful understanding of the mind, this quirky, crime-solving doctor pulls lessons from an odd and imaginative view of the world. This project comes from ABC Studios, Kenneth Biller (Legend of the Seeker, Star Trek: Voyager) and Mike Sussman (Star Trek: Voyager)

TBS Programming and Development Plans

TBS's popular series include Tyler Perry's HOUSE OF PAYNE, which was the #1 program on television among African-American adults 18-49 the last two summers. On May 27, TBS will premiere new episodes of Tyler Perry's MEET THE BROWNS. During the initial 10-episode run of the show, MEET THE BROWNS ranked as the #1 scripted series among African-American adults 18-49. In July, the popular family comedy THE BILL ENGVALL SHOW will return for its third season, airing Saturdays.

TBS plans to debut two new shows, both previously announced. A talk show starring George Lopez promises to change the late-night landscape in November. Versatile entertainer Lopez will bring excitement back to talk shows with a street-party atmosphere and a high-energy crowd. The show is from 2.2 Productions, paraMedia Inc. and Telepictures Productions, in association with Warner Horizon Television.

In 2010, TBS will premiere NEIGHBORS FROM HELL, a half-hour animated series featuring the Hellmans, a typical suburban family that happens to be from hell. NEIGHBORS FROM HELL comes to TBS from Fox TV Animation (Family Guy), DreamWorks Animation SKG and Jeffrey Katzenberg (Shrek). Pam Brady (South Park), who wrote the pilot episode, and Mireille Soria (Madagascar) will serve as executive producers.

THE GAME OF LIFE – This half-hour sitcom follows four Pittsburgh friends as they reunite in their early 30s, only to discover life didn't turn out quite as planned. MY BOYS "Private Eyes" (Season 3 Episode 2)

Finally, we will find out what happens at Bobby's wedding when MY BOYS returns tonight for its third season.

Of course I already know what happens since I have seen the first two episodes of the new season, but since I can't really tell you too much, I will tell you that you won't be disappointed.

The thing that I always find happens when I watch My Boys is that each episode feels really short, even after two episodes, I went "that's it? I'm already done?!" I could watch this show all day long with episodes back to back, that's how easy and enjoyable it is to watch.

And that's why it's so exciting to find that after 3 seasons, My Boys is still as good as the first day.

So far this season seems to be moving in an interesting directions, and I of course am looking forward to finding out what happens next to P.J. and the gang.

MY BOYS "Welcome Back, Kalla Fotter" Review (tbs)

10 ITEMS OR LESS returns for its third season tonight, January 6, at 11pm on tbs.

I hadn't seen the show before but I got a sneak peek at the first episode and I found it entertaining.

The Greens & Grains team uses frozen turkeys and soda bottles to play bowling, they just got me right there. Seriously, I want to play too.

"Turkey Bowling" – There's a new general manager at the SuperValueMart, and she is just as determined as the last one to see Greens & Grains go under. When Leslie, Todd and Carl create a new grocery store bowling game using frozen turkeys as balls and soda bottles as pins, she bets Leslie he can't throw 3,000 frames without leaving a single pin standing. With his dignity on the line, Leslie takes her up on the bet, and gambling fever takes over the store.

10 ITEMS OR LESS Returns Tonight for Season 3 on tbs

THE BILL ENGVALL SHOW will air two Christmas special episodes back to back tonight at 8pm on TBS.

If you are a fan of the show, I highly recommend you don't miss them. They really put you in the mood for Christmas (although I do wish they had aired them closer to Christmas time), plus I think they are really sweet to watch with you family.

I think this might be it for THE BILL ENGVALL SHOW this season. It has all come down to the prom. I am going to miss my relaxing half hour of Bill Engvall and his family every Thursday night.
