Britney Spears is back on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

It’s official, Britney Spears will be back on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER as a guest star, reprising her role of Abby, on the May 12 episode.
“We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again. And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney’s very nice and no, I can’t get her autograph for you,” said Craig Thomas, executive producer and co-creator, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.
Synopsis of the episode: When Barney and Abby realize that they have one thing in common - their mutual hatred of Ted - the “couple” decides to go to the bar to flaunt their new relationship in Ted’s face. Desperate to get a rise out of his former pal, Barney pops a surprising question to Abby.
You know what, why not?, even though I wasn’t convinced by her first appearance, the character was endearing if you think about it, and anything to get a Barney focused episode is a good reason.

Review: HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER “Sandcastles in the Sand” (S03E16)

After all the viral marketing around Robin Sparkles’ new song and music video, “Sandcastles in the Sand,” we finally got to see the actual HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER episode.
The Good: Revertigo! We once more learn a new hip word courtesy of the writers of How I Met Your Mother. With Lily and Ted going back to their high school selves when around their friends, the night started out really well.
The Better: James Van Der Beek as a bald, fat guy! And the way Robin is around him was priceless. Even better, he broke up with her again in the same van he broke up with her the first time, but not before she loaded all his equipment into the van. Poor Robin! I loved James Van Der Beek’s performance so much, someone needs to get him into another show.
The Best: Robin and Barney kissing!!! This deserves an OMFG! With all the focus on the return of Robin Sparkles, no one even thought that this episode would be bringing us the most shocking, unexpected, and exciting moment of the season. It seems so fitting in a way that these two should get together at some point. It will be interesting to see if this develops into a relationship or will just be a one night stand.

Sarah Chalke returns to HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

The Ausiello Report announced that Sarah Chalke will be returning to HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.
Sarah Chalke will reprise her role as Ted’s dermatologist, Stella, for at least one episode.
No word yet on whether Britney Spears will be back as her assistant.

Robin Sparkles is back on tonight’s new episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and she is bringing us a new song, “Sandcastles in the Sand.” Even better, James Van Der Beek guest stars as her old flame. The next step is to find a way to keep Mr. Van Der Beek on the show, or how about giving him his own show, again?!

Robin Sparkles strikes again!
In next week’s episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, “Sandcastles In the Sand,” Robin Sparkles is back with a new single called (what else) “Sandcastles In the Sand.”
That’s not the best part, James Van Der Beek stars as her old flame, Simon, who finds his way back into her life.
You can see a picture of Robin (Cobie Smulders) and Simon (James Van Der Beek) from the episode above.
So of course, CBS created some more viral marketing around the episode for our viewing pleasure.
The first clip of the music video for “Sandcastles In the Sand,” has been released on Robin Sparkles’ MySpace page and you can check it out below. Guess who’s in the video… that’s right it’s James Van Der Beek!
