Daemon's Choice

Side Order Of Life

SIDE ORDER OF LIFE “Awakenings” - 8pm Lifetime
Cell phone man is on tonight!!! Oh yeah, finally! A certain actor from a TV show I loved when I was young is guest starring tonight, you know what that means… I won’t spell it out for you, but let’s say I’m really excited by the choice of actor made for cell phone man. Bonus: I posted two pictures from the episode with the cell phone man in question if you are curious to find out who it is. Click here to find out who cell phone man is. (If you don’t want to be spoiled then don’t click on the link.)

Family Guy

FAMILY GUY “Blue Harvest” - 9pm FOX
The long-awaited “Star Wars” episode finally airs tonight and I cannot wait to watch it. We actually got a tease of it at Comic Con, but nothing beats a full episode. How fun is Family Guy? I have to thank my friends for “forcing” me to watch it, I absolutely love it.

THE REST

The Simpsons

THE SIMPSONS “He Loves To Fly And He D’oh’s” - 8pm FOX
The Simpsons are back tonight with a whole new season. Not that I don’t like The Simpsons, it’s just that I never got into it. I think I was probably too young when it started and I feel that now it’s too late for me to start. Still, it’s one of FOX’s most popular show, so I am sure tons of people are glad to see it back. Check out a picture from the first episode here.

King Of The Hill

KING OF THE HILL “Suite Smells Of Excess” - 8pm FOX
Not much to say about the show since I have never seen it and don’t even know what it’s about. Doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just that when it started I was probably not as informed about new TV shows as I am today.

Cold Case

COLD CASE “Thrill Kill” - 9pm CBS
Season 5 starts tonight. I like Cold Case, I do, but it’s one of those shows that doesn’t keep me interested enough to watch it every week. I watched the first three seasons and then sort of lost interest. I will watch Cold Case if I happen to find it when I am browsing. I do have to say that if you like CSI, Criminal Minds, etc. you might like Cold Case.

Shark

SHARK “Gangster Movies” - 10pm CBS
Season 2 starts tonight. Procedural dramas, not my thing, so I never really watched Shark. Too bad because I am a big fan of James Woods.

SHARK - CBS Press Tour

For all you SHARK fans out there, here are some of the highlights from the TCA Press Tour.

  • The sexual tension between Sebastian Stark (James Woods) and Jessica Devlin (Jeri Ryan) will continue in the upcoming season, which apparently lead to James Woods saying, “Just one time! A hotel room, a closet, anywhere! I’m working for scale this year just on the hope!”
  • James Woods will be working less this season from 160 hours a week to 140 hours. And I thought I had it hard…
  • Concerning the exit of Sam Page (who plays Casey Woodland) from the show, Ian Biederman (executive producer) had this to say, “When we were in the midst of bringing Jeri’s character onto the team and sort of realigning things for the next year, it just became a matter of chemistry and balance and how many bodies we could have on that team. And Sam had this [film] opportunity, so it seemed to be a mutually beneficial thing.”
  • As for explaining the departure of Casey Woodland (Sam Page) in the show, we’ll find out in the series premiere that he left to run his father’s campaign for governor.

    SHARK adds new characters

    July 9, 2007

CBS’ SHARK is adding two new characters to the show.

    Kevin Pollak

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Pollak will be joining th cast as a recurring character, Lloyd Cutler, the new Los Angeles District Attorney.

    Kevin Alejandro

The other actor joining the cast is Kevin Alejandro. He will play another recurring character, William Lyons, a prosecutor specialized in organized crime.
I guess this kills any hope that Santos (played by Kevin Alejandro) will be back next season on Ugly Betty. I am glad that Kevin Alejandro found a new job (especially after Drive being cancelled), but I just wish it was in a show I actually watch. At least Shark will benefit from this addition.

When Shark returns this fall, it will be in a new time slot: Sundays at 10pm.
