Music icons Jennifer Lopez and Mary J. Blige will join some of this year's hottest performers as they take the stage during the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE two-hour season finale Wednesday, Dec. 16 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. In their first-ever appearances on the series, Lopez will perform her latest single, "Louboutins," and Blige will sing her hit "I Am."

On the final performance show, airing Tuesday, Dec. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), the Top 6 finalists (Ashleigh Di Lello, Ryan Di Lello, Russell Ferguson, Jakob Karr, Kathryn McCormick and Ellenore Scott) will compete in the ultimate showdown to impress the judges and capture America's vote. Immediately following the performance show, the phone lines will open and viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite remaining finalists. Then, tune in the following night for one of the most-anticipated television events of the fall.

Wednesday's two-hour LIVE grand finale will also feature special performances by this season's Top 20, Adam Lambert, Leona Lewis and the Groovaloos. At the end of the celebration, host Cat Deeley will reveal America's vote and America's Favorite Dancer will be crowned live before millions of television viewers. The night America has been waiting for is almost here! The SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE two-night season finale airs Tuesday, Dec. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesday, Dec. 16 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX, and some of the year's hottest performers – including AMERICAN IDOL's Adam Lambert – are set to take the stage. Lambert will sing his latest track, "Whataya Want From Me," in his first appearance on the network since the AMERICAN IDOL season finale in May.

Adam Lambert captured the attention of the nation this year during the eighth season of AMERICAN IDOL. Throughout his much-celebrated IDOL journey, Lambert surprised and impressed the judges every week with his takes on various musical genres. His out-of-this-world vocal range and unique musical style has helped Lambert conquer the Billboard charts with multiple debuts on the Hot 100 and the Hot Digital Songs charts. His first album, "For Your Entertainment" (19 Recordings/RCA), recently debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Charts with 198,469 albums sold in the first week.

Tuesday's final performance show will feature the ultimate showdown between the Top 6 finalists as they compete to impress the judges and capture America's vote. Immediately following the performance show, the phone lines will open and viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite remaining finalists. Then, tune in the following night for one of the most-anticipated television events of the fall.

Top 20 dancer Billy Bell has left SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE due to illness and will be replaced by Brandon Dumlao, 21, a Hip Hop dancer from Concord, CA. Dumlao will join the Top 20 this week as they compete on the first two-hour performance show Tuesday, Oct. 27 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

"We are disappointed that Billy cannot continue dancing in the competition on the advice of his doctor and wish him a speedy recovery," said executive producer/judge Nigel Lythgoe. "However, we are fortunate that Brandon Dumlao has agreed to return."

Billy Bell Leaves SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Due To Illness

After thousands of auditions across the country and the Las Vegas callbacks, the judges of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE announced Season Six’s Top 20 finalists. The top girls include Channing Cooke, Ariana Debose, Ashleigh Di Lello, Mollee Gray, Karen Hauer, Noelle Marsh, Pauline Mata, Kathryn McCormick, Bianca Revels and Ellenore Scott; and the top guys are Phillip Attmore, Billy Bell, Ryan Di Lello, Russell Ferguson, Kevin Hunte, Jakob Karr, Legacy Perez, Peter Sabasino, Victor Smalley and Nathan Trasoras.

For the first time ever, the Top 20 dancers will make their debut performances on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: MEET THE TOP 20 airing Monday, Oct. 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). This special episode will showcase each of the dancers in their own style and genre and will feature group numbers choreographed by some of America’s favorite choreographers. Additionally, viewers will get a chance to learn more about the dancers. Then at the end of the hour, judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Adam Shankman will match the Top 20 with partners for the first performance show airing the following evening.

The competition begins Tuesday, Oct. 27 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) when the Top 20 dance for the judges and America on the season’s first two-hour performance show. The finalists will work as partners with a world-renowned choreographer on a dance routine chosen at random from a number of dance genres. At the end of the episode, the judges will deliberate and then eliminate the first two dancers from the competition. The following week, on Tuesday, Nov. 3 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the Top 18 will perform and the judges will send another two dancers home.

On Tuesday, Nov. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the Top 16 will take the stage in another two-hour performance show. Beginning this week, after each Tuesday performance show, the phone lines will open and the fate of the finalists – one of whom will be named America’s Favorite Dancer – will be left up to the voting fans. Tune in the following night, Wednesday, Nov. 11 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) when two finalists are sent home on the first live results show.

Acclaimed producer, director and choreographer Adam Shankman has joined SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE as a third judge. Shankman, who has been a guest judge and choreographer on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE since 2007, will sit alongside Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe and draw upon his expertise to critique the dancers throughout the competition.

The all-new fall season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE airs Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Shankman, who serves as a guest judge on this season's audition episodes, will join the judges' panel beginning with the Top 20 performance show Tuesday, Oct. 27 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

"SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is one of the most important things to happen in the last decade for the art form," said Shankman. "Choreography is how I found my way into this business, and I'm proud to be a part of the show. As a filmmaker, it's an honor to be able to recognize choreographers and dancers, and to be able to bring all of this amazing work into America's homes. These kids challenge themselves every week, and it's great for people to see how terrific these dancers are."

"I am extremely happy that Adam has agreed to be a resident judge," said Nigel Lythgoe, Executive Producer/Co-Creator, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Adam Shankman is a master of comedy and one of the most loved and commercially successful filmmakers of his generation. His recent credits include "Bedtime Stories" starring Adam Sandler and Keri Russell, "17 Again" starring Zac Efron and "Hairspray," the feature film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. Shankman also directed the hit viral video "Prop 8: The Musical" for FunnyorDie.com, which was honored by GLAAD and has been viewed over 4 million times.

Shankman's directorial debut was "The Wedding Planner" starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey. He followed that project with "A Walk to Remember" starring Mandy Moore and Shane West and "Bringing Down the House" with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah. His other credits include "The Pacifier" starring Vin Diesel, "Step Up," "Step Up 2" and "Premonition" with Sandra Bullock. Shankman's upcoming films include "Step Up 3-D," "Going The Distance" starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long and "The Last Song" starring Miley Cyrus.

Prior to directing, Shankman was one of the premiere dance and physical comedy choreographers who put his creative stamp on such projects as "The Addams Family," "Casper," "Inspector Gadget," "Anastasia," "George of the Jungle," "Boogie Nights," "Miami Rhapsody" and "The Flintstones," for which he was nominated for a Bob Fosse Award. Shankman teamed up with influential video director Julian Temple to choreograph Whitney Houston's "I'm Your Baby Tonight." He has also choreographed videos for The B-52's, Barry White, Aaron Neville, Chic and Stevie Wonder.

A native of Los Angeles, Shankman developed a love for the theater at an early age. After high school, he moved to New York to attend The Juilliard School. After five years as an actor and dancer in New York, he moved back to his hometown and began dancing in music videos for artists such as Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson.

It's had finally come to an end and the season 5 winner of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE is...

JEANINE MASON

The two hour show was mostly filled with encore performances of the judges' favorite routines.

One of my favorite routines that they performed again was the Kayla and Kupono/Mia Michaels routine on the song "Gravity," it's so beautiful. I think it's one of my favorite routine ever on the show and I'm so glad I got to see it again.

Unfortunately, they didn't perform the Jeanette and Brandon/Wade Robson routine again, which I absolutely loved.

As for Jeanine winning I guess it's ok, although between Brandon and Jeaning, I would have picked Brandon. But I like Jeanine too, since I did pick her or Brandon as the winner.

One thing is for sure, we'll definitely see some of this season's dancers back on the show soon.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5 "And the Winner Is..."

This is it! Tonight is the final performance of Season 5 of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, and to be honest I'm not as excited about this season as I was about last season. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy watching the show and tonight was definitely entertaining. So let's find out how the Top 4 did.

Top 4

Thoughts: That was definitely a fun routine. I just love Wade Robson, I could spend the whole night watching his routines.

Thoughts: What a way to end the show! And how can you not love a dance that involves a song from the Matrix soundtrack and even costume that were inspired by the Matrix. I loved it. These two are great together.

What a show that was!

I think that if I had to choose, my two favorites of the night would have to be Jeanine and Brandon. They were just a little stronger than Kayla and Evan.

But we'll find out tomorrow who America decides to crown America's Favorite Dancer. I can't wait!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (2009) "Top 4 Perform" Review

Tonight was the last elimination before the finale on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE season 5.

Apart from a trip down memory lane with dancers from past season performing their most loved routines once more, there wasn't really anything exciting happening except for the elimination itself.

So who went home?

Unfortunately, my top four didn't make it, but that's ok, I enjoy all of them. So it means that Evan, Kayla, Jeanine, and Brandon will compete in next week's finale. I can't wait!

First of all I apologize for not having a review last week, but as you know I was at Comic Con and didn't even have time to watch the show until I got back.

Thoughts: Man, that was freaking awesome! Sonya comes up with some really original stuff and all three guys really brought it.

Thoughts: I really enjoyed the whole routine, expect for the part where they kept doing lifts after lifts, it kind of slowed down their energy. Other than that it was definitely fun to watch.

Thoughts: Wow, it was amazing how in sync the three of them were. It made the whole performance really incredible. Sonya is really wonderful.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE "Top 6 Performs" Review

Tonight was the first night that America decided which 2 dancers would be sent home on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5.

Honestly, the whole show was pretty boring apart from the elimination. The bottom 2 girls and guys all danced their solos (again!), and the Black Eyed Peas performed.

But on to the interesting part, who was sent home tonight? That would be...

Randi Evans & Kupono Aweau

I can't say that I am sad because they both were in my bottom this week. So far my favorites are still safe. Hopefully, they will stay that way next week.

This might also be a good time to mention that we will not be reviewing the show next week as we will be in Comic Con, and most likely won't even have time to watch it. But that won't prevent you from enjoying the show anyway. We will be resuming our reviews the week after that. In the meantime, keep an eye out for our Comic Con coverage.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (2009) "2 out of 10 Eliminated" Review

Last night the top 10 dancers of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Season 5, were at it again. In addition to changing partners this week, the top 5 guys and girls each danced together, and each dancer also had to do a solo. Let's find out how everybody did:

Top 5 Girls - Bollywood

Choreography:
Music: "Dholna" from Pyar Ke Geet (Soundtrack)
Thoughts: I thought this was pretty cool. The footwork is so fast, and I found it fun to see all the girls dancing together for once.

Kayla Radomski & Evan Kasprzak - Vienese Waltz

Music: "Kiss From a Rose" by Seal
Thoughts: I absolutely loved it and with that song (which is one of my favorite songs of all time) it was perfect. Those lifts were so beautiful. The judges didn't seem to agree with me completely but since I don't know much about the technical stuff, I'll just say that I enjoyed it, a lot.

Thoughts: I thought that was really cool. Janette definitely has some funk and of course Ade was awesome. I really like these two together.

Thoughts: It was not that great for me. They just didn't hit it as hard as I would have liked them to. And also I didn't like Randi's wig at all, I was always thinking she was going to lose it. Pretty disappointing.

Thoughts: I love that song, so that's a good start and then you add Tyce Diorio's choregraphy on top of that and you get their brilliant performance. I absolutely loved it. My favorite of the night.

Thoughts: First of all it was so nice to see Pasha and Anya back on SYTYCD, I really liked these two. As far as the performance from Randi and Evan went, it was just ok for me, they didn't really bring the hotness, and I have to agree with Nigel, if Pasha and Anya had been dancing it, it would have been hot. Tonight was not a great night for Randi and Evan.

Thoughts: I think they did really good. It was definitely hot. I usually feel disappointed when I watch most dancers on SYTYCD dance the tango, but these two got it. Wow.

Thoughts: I know I have said it before but Wade Robson is a freaking genius. That was so freaking amazing, I loved it so much, my favorite of the night. After tonight, I think Janette and Brandon are probably my new favorite couple. Too bad this was their last time dancing together.

First of all the fact that the only ballet dancer, picks the first ballet dance on SYTYCD sounds a little fishy to me, but I can get over that. The other thing is that while I used to like watching ballet, it's not that exciting to me anymore. It was just ok for me.

I'm ok with the dancers the judges decided to eliminate and I think next week is going to be an interesting new pair to check out.
I also think it's weird that the judges didn't agree with me at all when it came to the solos. I guess it's all about taste.
