Gabourey Sidibe Cast in Showtime's THE C WORD

Gabourey Sidibe will appear in a recurring role in the new Showtime Series THE C WORD along side Laura Linney who is the star of the series. Sidibe will play a self assertive student in the class of Cathy (Laura Linney), a unhappy suburban wife and mother who goes through a life change after a terminal cancer diagnosis.
It's good to see Gaboury Sidibe not shy away from edgy roles and not sell out with safe roles on other shows. Plus I think she has great comedic chops and timing that are just waiting to shine.

Matt LeBlanc Auditions To Play Himself in New Showtime Series EPISODES (Video)

Showtime's new scripted comedy, EPISODES is a single-camera comedy series about a successful British husband-and-wife comedy team who are lured by Hollywood to produce a new version of their hit series for a stateside audience. But they soon realize what the American execs have in store for their precious show – including replacing the erudite British lead with the quintessential comedy star, Matt LeBlanc – and begin to sink deeper into the quicksand that is the TV business. Before long it's clear that not just the couple's show is at stake, but perhaps even their marriage.
Production will start this spring on the six-episode series. But Showtime has recently released a fun clip to promote the series which shows Matt LeBlanc forced to audition for the role of, well, Matt LeBlanc. It's really funny! Check it out below.
